"Oh thank you, Christof." She purred at the patchwork as he passed again, blowing him a little kiss. She hadn't needed the help, but he had needed something other then Barth to focus on. It was a small distraction at best, perhaps it'd be enough. "Remind me to give you a hug later, once we're all clean."
It was right about then Red had returned and started dismissing students. Though when she paused to listen, so too did Yaya. "Hmm?"

Morton's gaze moved to Cora as she spoke, and instantly, the whole 'guardian dog' persona seemed to drop and shatter, "I wasn't!" he told her with a pout, and then paused to ponder something, one bone finger reaching up to his lip, "But now that you brought to the fact... well, yeah. I want them," he pouted some more, then reached with a wing to hook a sheet in the bony appendage before flopping it over the edge of the cauldron. Granted, the pouting didn't last all that long; apparently, negative emotions were short lived with him. Instead, he turned to look at LW, his eyes looking her up and down, up and down and then slowly coming to a stop near her ears.
Due to the fact he'd been concentrating on the reaper, the gargoyle missed LW's initial awkwardness over having been told her name was cute, and thus made nothing of it, "Snuggles and scratches?" after a moment, a smile slowly spread across his features, "I think I like you!" by the time he'd said that, Red appeared and told him he was pretty much ready to go and could leave.
For a moment, he remain immobile, and then he felt his elfin ears flop back slightly; he sort of... didn't really wish to leave without the two ghouls. He felt utterly uncomfortable leaving them alone after what he'd witnessed only moments ago, "I'll leave in a few," he told Red, "I'm going to help these two a bit first," he paused again when their Gym teacher mentioned hearing something, and strained to listen, "What?"
What sound indeed? Instantly, and without losing even a second, the gargoyle planted himself in front of both ghouls, spreading his wings to cover them. As futile a motion as that was, he felt the need to do it.

Raziel wasn't really sure what to make of the conversation that went on between Barth, Colette and Christof, so he just kept tossing the laundry into the right piles. The work was boring, but at least it was easier than stirring massive pots of cloth filled water.
Red had left the room and come back during the time when Raziel was attempting to pitch his plan to Barth, so now their chances were severely cut down. When he heard Red ask about a noise, his ears perked up and he paused in sorting laundry.
"What noise?"

Junko had moved the cleaner blankets by now, and she was starting to get tired anyway. This girl was not one for manual labor as hard as she'd like to try. She was not touching those crusty blankets. Not at all. No. No Jacking way in the depths of Hell would Junko touch those blankets.
She looked to Red when she asked if they could hear anything, frowning and looking around. What? Junko didn't hear anything...

Lucien had been so busy trying to avoid any gnome that might happen across his way that he didn't even notice Amrita was the person he had been hiding behind. If he had, he would have realized how bad of a hiding spot that had been. She's so tiny compared to him that there was no way a gnome wouldn't notice. Well, maybe. Gnomes were pretty small too. They might just end up staring at Amrita's backwards feet and then continue on without question.
He seemed to be home free when a gnome crossed his path and he squealed, throwing his arms up into the air causing the laundry he had in his hands to fall into a cauldron of hot water. Oh no! Lucien's shield! He dove his hands into the hot water to try and retrieve the laundry. It took a moment but soon after Lucien's hands flew out of the cauldron without anything he had dropped.
"Ow!" He yelped. "Ah!" He said as he noticed the gnome had not left yet and jumped away. Unfortunately, the air spirit had jumped back into another cauldron and whacked his head. He didn't say ow, but he seemed to glare at it. What was he thinking? Well, he was thinking 'Why is it always my head?' and 'Why are there so many gnomes not doing any work?' as he rubbed that poor noggin of his. What kind of conspiracy was this?
Whatever else may have been going through the air spirit's head was soon washed away when professor Red so curiously asked a question to herself about a noise. It made Lucien go completely still and even more quiet than he was before as he tried to listen to whatever the professor had heard. He didn't hear anything... and that gnome was still staring at him! It was just not his day.

Red was distracted, and so was everyone else. Lilith immediately let go of the fabric she had in her hands, allowing it to loosely fall over one of the hangers she was going to put it up on before she made a break for the door, for freedom from this endless punishment for something she didn't do. She thought she was home free when out of no where a bunch of gnomes were once again stopping her in her tracks. Really now. Didn't these gnomes have anything better to do than try and stop all her attempts at leaving? Oh, the thought occurred to Lilith. The gnomes had nothing to do other than stop the students from leaving because the students were doing their work. Boy, those gnomes sure don't want to work if they're being so attentive.
She slowly backed away from them and plotted her new plan for escape. Screw attending to the laundry anymore. She wasn't even going to pretend anymore. Look at all the work (a whole one and a half linens hung up to dry) she did for doing absolutely nothing wrong.

When the other students seemed to be pausing in their work to inspect the sound, it occurred to Maritess that perhaps she ought to see if she could hear whatever it was the gym professor thought she heard. No, the manananggal didn't detect anything, but all the same, she tightened her grip on the stirring stick that was dipped in the cauldron of bleach. The gnomes hadn't done anything particularly suspicious (apart from being gnomes) but you could never tell with them.
What if they had summoned something like last time? What if it wasn't a soap dragon? What if -Tess gulped- what if it was two soap dragons? (D8) No, Tess, now was not the time to panic to or jump to conclusions.
"I-it's nothing you can't handle, right? P-professor Red?" The winged vampire asked hopefully.

Christof's gesture had made Colette extremely uncomfortable and caused a disturbed expression to appear on the ghoul's face. She knew he was keen on attempts to maim her, but now he had made it no secret that he was going to.. to just plain watch her. The ghoul didn't feel all that confident either, considering her dorm had a large bay window. Normally she only closed it when absolutely necessary, but now.. Colette decided she'd keep it closed regularly. That was absolutely necessary. Plus, this is what lights were there for anyway, right?
When Red returned and said a few students could leave, Colette decided she should probably start working. She hadn't really done anything, but she did want to leave as soon as she could, and the Reaper tossed the laundry she had in her hand into the nearest cauldron. Ready to grab a little more, Colette moved back towards Barth: the safe haven from Christof; but the noise distracted her from the job at hand. "Er.. I'm not sure what that is."

Aymet was standing next to Ashford at one of the laundry stations. He continued to hook and tangle his claws in formerly gouge-free blankets in an attempt to fold them. He was determined, Jack damn it, and between his insane focus and lack of ears, missed whatever it was that was so distracting to Red.
