Riley assisted Malodore back towards the others in relative silence, punctuated only near the end by a brief I'm just glad you're all right. When she reached the general assembly, she shook the soot off of her tentacles. But no. We're not here for some candies and gifts. This is about power. It has to be.

And yet, they hadn't encountered the real objective: Sandy Claws. How were they going to bring the jolly old man down if they were trapped in a room with no escape?

She transmitted her thoughts to the entire room in a businesslike manner. Those of us who can walk should search for a weakness. There may not be an obvious way out of here, but if there's a weak spot, we may be able to exploit it. Just don't go wandering alone - if you find our weak spot by falling into it, and we can't hear you, I will be very displeased.

((Awesome, because she is a creeper and has wanted to pet him since she met him. 8D;;;))

Whether Junko minded the nuzzling was hard to tell, she didn't say or do anything about it other than giggle. She figured it was...just...natural kitty cuddling? Shehk had behaved more dog-like when she was in her canine form, so perhaps kitty here was the same way? She smiled at the purr she got from asking who he was, adjusting him more comfortably against her. "I see, well it's very nice to see you again, Deacon. And it's nice to know you're okay!" She told him sincerely, turning to Sin when she asked why they were even here.

"Honestly, I have no idea..." She sighed, cradling Deacon on one arm while she rubbed behind his ears. Hehe! So soft~! Riley's voice in her head didn't surprise her for once, turning her head toward the ghoul. She could walk...but did Deacon count as going with someone? And Her? She was much better at yelling and getting attention than the soft-spoken Junko. "That's not a bad idea. Sin? Alcie?" She looked to them now. "Should we split up or stay together?" By 'we' she meant just the three of them. She did like Riley's idea.

Seeing how bad off Corbin's wing was, his face showed his sympathy. Losing the ability to fly, and especially some feathers like that, looked painful. If only they were back home, then he could heal, couldn't he? It was impossible to miss the fact that others were moving and he slowly pushed himself to his feet. Though he was healed, his body was still sore and moving was vastly discomforting. But he had to move. Had to. Staying still would only get him killed off, he was sure.

Sighing and looking vastly displeased with the state of his clothing, he dusted himself off after he had pocketed his somewhat bloodied peppermints. What a waste... His head shifted in a shake before he noticed Corbin moving to see if others needed healing. Oh, that's right, he hadn't used his bells yet. There had to be some who needed the assist and it was more than time to use it.

As he heard Riley's voice, he glanced over at her briefly. He still recalled the last time he had seen her really; out of it as she had been. He had been inclined to do as she said, since it sounded reasonable, until her last statement. To that, his eyes narrowed slightly before he turned and went to look about himself, slinging his pack over his shoulder. As it was, it was easy to see the others and he was almost impossible to miss. There had to be a way out of this mess. There was truly never such a thing as no escape. If Corbin joined him after he helped out, that would be awesome. But he saw that Aksaja seemed okay for the moment and he was glad to see that.

As the second wave of healing from Sin's bells washed over him, Aksaja made a soft noise of relief, shivering just slightly when more of the pain melted away. He still ached, but at this point... the lightning dragon was back to about the way he'd felt for the past few hours. Ever since that damn killer deer ... He most definitely wasn't in top form, but somehow, he'd gotten used to feeling like this.

Slowly, he started to push himself up to his feet, squinting as he looked around. "I could go with someone to scout around," he offered a bit hoarsely.

Laiha stroked her chin, eyes narrowing. To have a telepathic on the team was certainly handy, and this one in particular made perfect sense.

"I'll go with you," she offered, turning to Aksaja. He seemed... hurt. Did he not have any bells left? Either way, it seemed like he was going to need some serious healing when they got back to Halloween.

She wondered idly what the other doors held, as she was certain other students had gone other ways. She approached Aksaja and offered him a rare helpful hand.

Sin gave the bell another shake for Maladore relaxing when she saw he was standing and seemed capable of more. She flashed Aksaja an annoyed glance when he offered to look around. She gave his shoulder a squeeze and shook her head.

"You stay put until I can patch you up a little better..." She frowned and then looked at her friends worried. She wanted to help them and explore this area, find a way out, but her healing ability was obviously needed.

"Junko you should stick with Alcie and make a slow circuit, if anything pops out at you throw the cat in it's face..."

She sighed and loowed around her eyes narrowed to try and make shapes out. "I'll try and heal up the others a bit more then join you"

Seeing the doctor recover, Jericho turned his attention towards Riley and nodded to her. With the explosion, there was bound to be cracks in the wall somewhere. Between himself and the others, they could probably bring down such a barrier. It was too bad this area wasn't made of gingerbread or something like that.

"Let me know if you need me," he told the two nearby before carefully moving to examine the concrete.

The lightning dragon offered the ghoul from before a quick smile and then turned to Sin and actually bowed juuuust slightly. "Whatever you say. I'm sure as Jack not opposed to that." Then, he turned to Laiha. "If you want to find somebody else to go with, it's fine. Or y'can wait on me..."

It was nice that some of the others seemed to care about what happened to him and all, even though he'd only known them a relatively short amount of time.

Sin rang the bell a little harder healing Aksaja for 6HP and nodding, that was a bit better. She still wanted to fix up Maladore a but more and double check Junko. She disliked the darkness, the smoke, not for themselves but in this situation how trapped and vulnerable they were.

"Hopefully that feels a little better, but sit tight for a few more minutes..." She glanced around barely able to catch the shapes of her friends.

... Damn, he hadn't felt this good in a while, and yet Aksaja knew that he still wasn't fully healed. He'd just kinda gotten used to being aching and sore all the time. Flashing a quick grin at Sin, he nodded. "Sure, I've got no problem with that."

Raziel had been slowly recovering since the giant elf robot thing exploded. He sat up from where he had been laying and rubbed the back of his head. Ouch... That had hurt quite a bit. He looked around the area at the other students. They all seemed to be in some state of injury, and there was one demon running around ringing her bell like a loon. The noise was starting to make Raziel's head ring too.

He grimaced before saying, "So... Now what?"

Now that Malodore was feeling more itself, it nodded thanks towards Sin, then rang its own bells for Aksaja's sake. "I, too, can help ensure a bit of healing," it said. "If anyone requires aid, I can provide it."

It glanced at Riley. "I believe Luce is best suited for searching. My skills may be needed elsewhere." The cwn pup barked and wagged her tail, then darted backwards, her eyes visible as twin pinpricks of light.

((For my reference: Malodore has 14 HP~))

Riley nodded briefly, accepting that Malodore could be most useful to those who needed heals or other medical assistance. She looked away for a moment to catch the sight of Aksaja trying to move, glad to see he was feeling better, and considered joining the search - but she paused when she looked back down at their intertwined arms. Would you rather I stay with you? She knew she wouldn't be much use here, except the idea of leaving felt sour - it was still hurt, after all. Though, it did look better than when she'd first found it, she still worried. If he wanted her support, she was sure there were enough students to handle searching without her.

"It is your choice?" Malodore tilted its head to one side. "I would welcome the opportunity to speak with you further - I was concerned when I did not see you in that benighted maze. Yet this smoke... it may begin doing damage to the breathing-creatures soon." It wasn't entirely sure if Riley was among them, but after its earlier poor attempts at guessing the mindflayer's anatomy, it wasn't about to make any more assumptions.

The lightning dragon caught the tail end of Maladore's comment about the smoke and nodded quickly at that, coughing a bit. "Good point... though if there wasn't some way the smoke was filtering out of here, it'd be worse." Which gave him something of an idea...

"Maybe we should try to ... follow the smoke somehow? See if it's going in any particular direction..."
