He's always up to something, but we'd hardly go to Metropolis on a hunch. Maybe Luthor-corp or whatever it was called was up to something closer to home, and we trace it back to wherever Match is, but what? And where is Match being built?

Supes could go missing. That would be reason enough to go investigate Luthor seeing as he's one of Superman's biggest enemies.

A power surge from an abandoned power plant.
Someone breaking into Luthorcorp. ((that someone could be unknown, and possibly link into a later arc.))

I could have Kitten break in, trying to steal some of Luthor's rare imported items. XD Then that could tie into her joinging YJ later... 'Cause I kinda want her to be a theif at first who converts to the good guys.

Match could really be anywhere that could facilitate the genetic experiments the scientists are conducting. There would be a lot of machinery involved, so somewhere rather large and well-equipped, not to mention well-funded. A Luthorcorp building would be good, but it could also be a smaller, independant place. Like, a facility made just for this particular project.
I don't know how we're handling the re-building of Gotham, but didn't Luthor swoop in to fund the restoration effort at the end of the NML arc in the comics? And he tried to nab the land titles? So maybe instead of the titles thing, he managed instead to have this place built. That'd be about four months after the end of the NML arc of our rp, which pretty much syncs with where we're at, right?
So then since it's in Gotham it's local and much more noticeable for them, yes?

No reason we can't do both, chasing her around could be a good reason why we don't have the whole team there with Superboy's pod, in fact considering the people we've go we might just discover it when one of ours ploughs through a wall and discovers it.
But I still think we need a reason to be in Metropolis, a power-surge could be linked somehow, I mean it would definably get their attention, but I was thinking more along the lines of shiftiness. Luthor really isn't sloppy, so disappearances, odd thefts, mysterious break-ins (if it's not the first time), you know, something to grab the attention of a JLA subsidiary.
Yes! Stray, I like that idea, but would still a proper link-in, although the fire worked in the show, I prefer something grander. If we hit something good we could even carry it over into the next arc, get some real progression going. biggrin

No, he wasn't. I'm playing my own incarnation of Grundy, one that both as vicious and brutal as he is intelligent. This Grundy was taught by Bane himself, there's very little that this current Grundy doesn't know.
