(( *thumbsup* Confirming that Merope is on there and that he is quite glowy. huzzah for deep sea creatures! 8D plz pardon the his sea water stink-scent )) Merope hissed and fanned his fin-like wings, trying to appear bigger than he actually was. The results were rather laughable: his natural glow in the darkness only accented how small he really was, even if it did manage to light up his half-skull face in an eerie light. The boil visibly moved forward, turning to swipe at the aisle with his glowing tail in an attempt to either light that area up or to trip whomever was standing there. Belatedly, he hoped there wasn't another student in his way. Oh well -- serves him right for acting before waiting for his eyes to adjust.

Wait, what? Someone entered the cabin apparently and hadn't introduced themselves. It was kind of sad that the girl who was going through pms seemed more threatening than Rain who was supposed to be in charge. Things were looking rather sour.
"Will you be quiet and let Rain handle this?" Sheeki muttered to Mandy. He wanted to tell her to pull her head out of her a** but kept it in his throat. For now.

Igneous finally realized her eyes were closed and opened them as she heard the door open. From her seat she really couldn't see much other than the gloom that filled the car and the faint glow from the students who were luminous.
She took a steadying breath and stood up, hoping to see a little bit more. A startled squeak escaped her as something brushed up against her wing.

Oh, now there were SOUNDS. Jack's annoyance levels were higher than usual, and, thank . . . er . . Jack, no one could see the fluff of his tail fluffing up. Taking the intiative of the commands, Jack started walking around, his eyes trained at the floor, trying to illuminate what he could. He wasn't a ghost, but he was good enough.
Zwei, on the other hand, hissed lightly and looked around him, eyes trained better for the darkness. He wouldn't leave his perch tho, being high up as is.

Julian's hands dropped from his ears when he saw Jack move again, hearing the sound of the door closing. Hadn't it already been closed earlier? His face turned in the direction of said door, but he didn't see anything. He stood slowly, frowning a bit. Oh, he wasn't brave, far from it. He'd be the first to hide behind anyone that looked bigger or stronger than he was. But by the looks of it, he was the only one who had noticed the sound, so that meant he was obligated to... well, to do something at least.
Just as he was standing, he heard the comments of some of the other students. Well, maybe he hadn't been the only one. He let out a soft hiss, an ungodly, threatening sound and moved from his seat to get a better look around.
"Jack, you can see, right?" he asked, not turning to the cat-boil but rather focusing on the opposite side of the car, wings tucked tightly back.
"Anybody else see in the dark?" He turned to look at the ghoul he knew from flight club and some of his other classes, trying to see what it was that made her squeak.

"Oh no you don't! I apologize for being so harsh, but we need everyone's help!" Alwine took Belladonna's arm and clung to it. "Please, I'm scared, you're a witch, right? You have MAGIC!"
Alwine walked up the seats, preparing to drag her support (Belladonna) with her if she had to. She followed (far) behind the deep sea serpent in an attempt to help light up the perpetrator.

That way? As in towards all the ominous noises? He liked Belladonna's suggestion better.
"Yes, someone should probably investigate and give the rest of us time to, err, think. ...Don't worry," he said to Belladonna bravely, edging his way back to his safe, comfortable, non-threatening seat. "I'll sit with y-ERK!"
Bartholomew found himself being dragged IN THE EXACT OPPOSITE DIRECTION. ...But the situation wasn't dire enough to struggle or anything.

"Um, I can see some," Alessa said, though she wasn't sure who said it. There seemed to be a lot of shuffling about going on in the car right now. Why were so many of them clinging together like that? She knew she'd been asleep but...really, what was going on? She had honestly thought they were playing a game, or were going to. Were they now playing something else? She didn't think so. Some of her fellow students seemed rather nervous and she wondered if she should share that sentiment.
"So...we're not playing battleship I take it?" she asked no one in particular. Everyone seemed too busy to pay attention to the question, which made her wonder if there was something she was supposed to be paying attention too. She tilted her head, listening, or trying too, but everyone's talking kept her from hearing anything in particular since the original thump.

"But I'm not GOOD at it!!" Belladonna hissed to Alwine, torn between holding onto the boil and following the ghoul. Eventually her need to help won and she latched onto Batholomew with one hand and followed behind Alwine.
"This pin prevents me from using my magic, even if I wanted! I couldn't fly with my broom if my life depended on it!" Belladonna hissed again, still following the girl but starting to really shake now. Bravery was needed, but Hecate it was so hard! Last time she had been rendered useless, her limbs heavier than her want to lift them and she didn't want that again. Not for herself, not for anyone!

"Julian? Is that you?" Igneous latched on to his voice like, well, like a light in the dark!
She tried to see through the gloomy light but had no better luck than she did earlier. Why hadn't she thought to bring a candle or something with her!

Rain wished she had use of her abilities. If she did, she could crawl across the ceiling and jump down the other side. Then she could sneak up on whatever was in the car with them and rip him or her to shreds. Of course, she didn't know what was in the car with them. It could be anything, even something immune to physical attacks. The professors didn't tell her that this task could be dangerous. She was just a kid. She wasn't prepared for this! They should have given her a weapon or something. That was it, when she got back, she would petition for lanterns in all the train cars for future trips.
"We will play Battleship as soon as we find out who.. or what just joined us, even if I have to use the glowing sea boy thing for a flashlight," she promised.

"Well lead the way then." Sheeki called out from the back. "We shouldn't keep forcing each other to do things. We need a leader so that we don't keep stepping on each others toes. Figuratively speaking."
He didn't have toes. Or feet. Or legs. "I thought the staff said this train ride would be safe?"

A soft nod of his head replied to Julian at first, visually coming up as the green light of his eyes bobbling up and down softly, before he murmured. "Yes, I'm limited unlike a ghost, but my light glow allots for just a little bit of visuals in the dark." he stated to him, as he heard Rain.
"I'm sure we'll find it" he stated to her, before the click, clack, clack of his shoes echoed through the car again, hoping to find the lightswitch, or the offending creature.

"Ouch!" Came the noise, masculine, probably older. There was more shuffling and odd scratching noises which might have been the heels of his shoes against the floorboard. "Can... can you give me another second? I can't find my orb." Insert what oddly sounded like something zipping and unzipping. Oh dear.
This continued on for a terse ten seconds before the noises mostly stopped. "This is... kind of embarrassing. Can you get someone who glows here to help me? I think my my jacket is stuck in the door."

Alwine was leading a chain consisting of a protesting Belladonna and a half-asleep Bartholomew behind Merope.
"We're behind you, Rain!" said the ghost. "The sea boil has way more light than I do, but if you need us..."
Alwine shrugged, though she knew that no one could see it in this darkness.
"I'm sorry, I'll do my best... ah... Belladonna, do you HAVE your broom with you? Any sort of weapon might be useful... wait?"
Alwine thought she heard the person complain about... a jacket? Wait, was this thing dangerous?!
"Um, if I don't fall I can get to you..."
Alwine stumbled forward, trying to get to the speaker. "I'm sorry I won't be much help, but maybe it'll be enough?"
