Flare attempted to throw the Ekans away by it's tail, and would try to back up near Joseph.

Atsuma managed to capture a Cubone
The pokemon hurt, wounded, and losing it's strength from this encounter was an easy capture as the pokeball hit and suck him inside. The pokeball would land lightly on the ground as it rocked once, twice, and third time in the sands before it went still.

The Ekans body would wind itself around him as trying to throw him away would quickly stop being a option as it coils grew tighter and tighter. The pokemon had every plan of continuing to hug his opponent all the way until he pass out ....he hisses in his ears.
[Too late]
He would be squeezing his opponent during defensive and offensive phases.

[Yes, though don't change it's hp .....since it's currently low]
So, with that capture one objective was completed, and he did afterall have ...two more pokeballs. Though he was assign to capture one, it didn't mean he couldn't capture more, and as he would look into the distances and only see the wavier in the sky due to the heat ....one had to wonder how long it would take to get there.

"Agh... hold on, Flare!"
[errrgh.... why do you do this...?] Flare said to the Ekans. [I am no slave.... I follow him of my own free will...]
"I won't sit back and watch, go!" Seeing his opportunity, Joseph threw the pokeball at the ekans to attempt to at least free Flare from the grip, maybe even catch it.

But, the Ekan's strike was quick as he caught the pokeball in his mouth and literally crushed it. The pokemon letting the pieces fall as he could see the fear in the trainer's eyes and enjoyed every moment of it as he turns back to look at Flare.
[Humph, so, you are a free slave ...why else serve such a weak creature]
He hissed with his tongue tickling his nose. The pokemon actually trailing his body over him to the point that he could actually turn to look the Charmeleon in the face and still have him knotted tight in his coils.
[And I am afraid it didn't come up heads this time]

(Thats why you flip the coin again.)
[Slave.... no..it's something you would not understand.... you having no friends. ] Flare still struggled within the coil, as he felt it squeeze tighter.
"I'll have to try again...." Seeing the Ekans would not let up on it's attack. He could not try the same thing again, the Ekans would just waste away the pokeballs. He shifted his attention to Flare's feet.... as he was still standing. "Flare! Start spinning!"
Flare had no idea what Joseph was up to, but did so without hesitation. Anything but this......
Joseph pulled yet another ball out. "This HAS to work!" He threw it again, to try another capture...

Maybe if he had thought about it more ...Bishop would have also given his newly caught Ekans a drink as well. Replenishing it's health ...as the sands would churn behind them ...a signal that once left, it might be a long way before he actually ...saw water again. A long time before they would find ...salvation again ...as the sands continue to churn, and the heat of the day continues to beam down upon them.Bishop remembered his new Ekans but when he went to go back to the Oasis, it shimmered away like a mirage He sighed, not being able to find it again. He continued back through the desert, looking at the egg as he walked.

[The same amount of damage = 4dmg, and just so you know ...until you attack while in the bindings ...he isn't receiving any damage. Your character is simply losing pokeballs ....down to 1 now]
Once more that snake's head would launch even with the spinning he would turn and bit the pokeball in two. The pieces falling amongst his feet ....as the ekans hissed loudly and with a big smirk on his face. He wasn't going to be captured, and he wasn't gong to let go of his prey until it was dead ...as he hissed in the Charmeleon's face.
[Friends, what friends do you have ....pet? You talk as though you know me, when you don't even know yourself]
The Ekans hissed loudly.
[If you had any friends now, I am sure he would recall you for another ...then again ...maybe like all pets ...he care little of what happens to your life]
He declares even as they spun, and even as he tried to take off his aim enough that he couldn't strike the pokeballs as they flew. But, he was oh so good as snatching things from the air, and those pokeballs were no different to him.

Almost as if his searching had summon it, the Cubone would appear again. She was tapping a bone against her leg as he looked at the egg and she rose to her feet all the same to look at him.
It would seem that she hadn't disappear afterall, and simply left the Oasis as she looked at the two of them and gesture for him to follow her. She would lead him safely out of this area ...to the place where the sands didn't follow as he would see it then if he looked up the first puffs of smoke .....and the top of trees in the distances.
There was afterall an end to this desert.
