Alex hugged him. "Thank you" she had never felt so close to him before. She got up, picked up her phone and keys, and opened the door.

Alex got in the car and started it. Yawning, she shivered and turned up the heater.

"My-Jake's house isn't that far away"Alex drove over to Jake's house and looked up at it the lights were off and both Jordyn's and Jake's cars were gone. Maybe they went to a hotel or something. She got out happily and reminded herself how much explaining she had to do to her family.

"Yeah." Alex got out and walked into the house. The cake was still there on the floor and she almost stepped in it. "Careful" she said, "The cake's still on the floor" she turned on the light and she realized that she wasn't going to get this done quickly. Almost everything in there was hers or she bought it. Which included the pots and pans in the kitchen along with the silverware and other things. Her phone buzzed and it was a text from Kayla asking where she was. Sighing, she told her to tell the other girls to head over to Jake's house and to stop looking for cakes. She had totally forgot about the girls.

Alex finished the kitchen as the girls pulled up with their confused expressions. Kayla, Alexis and the others walked out of their cars and all asked what happened. Alex set down the boxes and motioned for them to follow her into the house. They sat down calmly and she started with Jordyn. "So you guys know how Jordyn had to 'leave for work' this morning?" They all nodded and Alex raised her eyebrows in a knowing way and the girls' faces fell. "Oh..." Alexis said. "Alex, I'm so sorry" the girls all hugged her and offered to help. Alex thanked them and showed them what was hers.

Alex started to pack things again. The girls walked back and forth with boxes to their cars and drove it over to the storage facility. She definitely needed a new house to fit all of her things in. She packed a few boxes of clothes, shoes, and whatever else she would need at Hiroshi's until she got at least an apartment. She grabbed the few pictures of her and Jake that were above the fireplace, started a fire, and burned them all.

Alex nodded, wiping a tear away from her cheek. "Those pictures were as expensive as the wedding. Like my heart. Ruined. Burnt in a fire place like it didn't matter" she walked back to the car and started it up. They had to get out of there before Jake and/or Jordyn got back.
