Deciding to be brave, she couldn’t turn into a scaredy cat just because of one really convincing trick, the next house she approached was a spooky looking mansion. Pulling the cord that hung by the door thinking it was some kind of doorbell she twitched slightly when a scream rang out in the house. …How Halloween of them.
As the door creaked open Enyo piped up with forced cheerfulness, “Trick or Treat!”. As the door finished opening the hulking giant that had opened the door gave a deep groan before offering her a bowl of candy it held.
Smiling slightly she picked up two king sized mars bars and after shaking the spiders off them gave the giant a more genuine thank you then her greeting and skipped off after it waved bye, the door creaking closed behind it.
See, everything was juuuust fine.

Pilot decided that enough time had passed that the girls chasing Anon should have given up by now, or have caught him and used him for their nefarious purpose. Either way it ended with him swinging round by the graveyard again. Cheerfully walking through the headstones he looked out for either Anon or Cheryl and Harry, the kids had been kind of cute and he wouldn’t mind seeing them again.
Instead though he saw a cheery looking beared fellow who was digging a fresh grave whilst whistling too himself. Figuring that man worked at the graveyard he made his way over, shouting out a simple greeting to alert him of his presence.
“Why Hello there! What are doing out here, shouldn’t you be trick or treating like the rest of the kids?” The man asked, turning towards Pilot.
“Um, I was just ducking by to check if Anon was here... if you know him?” He guessed the man would. It was kind of hard to miss a whole person living where you worked.
This got a surprised look from the man, “You know Anon then, eh? I’m not sure where his gotten up to tonight, thought I heard him running from some girls.”
“Yup, Anon’s my friend. He still hasn’t shaken them off then.” His answer got him a warm smile from the man.
“A friend you say? Well then why don’t you take this, some crazy blue haired lady gave this to me and I have no use of it but I’m sure you’ll like it.” The guy then shoved something into Pilot’s hand before wandering off, still whistling.
Blinking at the abrupt ending to their conversation Pilot jumped in surprise when he looked at what he’d been given. The Nightmare!?! It was his lucky night tonight it seemed.

Carina nodded "nothing is as it seems tonight," she agreed. though really there were bags of fall leaves in pumpkin shapes decorating the law, little ghost decals in the windows and other family friendly things all over this house. It seemed normal enough and no one ahead of them had run screaming from the place.
Still, Carina felt it was her turn to be brave and she approached this house first. Orion didn't need more scares and Amelia might be bigger and stronger in her unicorn form but still Carina was oldest. It was practically her responsibility to be the bold one, well accept for Amelia's father but he had faced his own Halloween trials to be sure.
"Hello sweeties would you like to come in out of the cold for a spot of warm afternoon tea?" The lady who had answered the door was young looking but her clothing seemed old fashioned and there was a slightly odd look in her eyes.
Orion, currently hiding behind Amelia really hoped that his sister, for all her love of tea said no. This didn't feel quite right to the herald.

Huffed as she had to hand her first prize to William, oh well no huge loss and before he could say anything Kailani was already skipping towards the ext house, this one with a few decorations, pumpkin in the window and a few spider decorations but nothing major. She reached up and rapped on the door before thrusting forward her candy collection box and rocked back on her heels waiting.
And elderly women came to the door dressed in a blond wig and wispy white dress. Kai had no idea who marlin Monroe was so just smiled at the women. "Trick or treat old princess lady." she called. The women smiled at her. "Well aren't you a precious little pirate." she cooed. "I have just the thing." Kai waited egarly and beamed as she was handed a old candy box. "thankyou!" she called before bounding down and running back to show William. "Look William I got a whole box!" she announced slowing as she opened the box. And paused, inside instead of candy where about a dozen plastic spiders.

Amelia let out a whicker. That was the second time someone had asked her to join them for ea. What was it with these people. It was late, and certainly no where near noon. "No," Amelia said and with her teeth she tugged on Carina's out fit. "Come on..."

Once his sister had been dragged away from the last hose Orion once more took the lead Things seemed to have settled down now and there were more kids on the street so it was safer overall. Crazy people only hurt you when you were alone otherwise there were witnesses.
With that in mind he approached a fancy looking house with someone oddly shiny looking in the doorway. ( letting Amelia describe getting the candy since you wanted to warp to seeing Tori from there.)

Faiya skipped happily up to the house, clutching her treat pail in hand, while Tish waited just a few steps away in case something bad happened. The little toddler leaned forward on her toes as she knocked on the door, and cheerfully called out "Trick or treat!" To the lady in the Bo Peep gown. But then... from behind her, it came. An enormous sheep costume worn by a person whose face was half gone, and was looking at her with bugged, blank eyes and drooling. It murmured a muffled-sounding "tasty" (which sounded more like "taffty") and started towards the toddler. Faiya immediately ran to her mother and they left the place behind in a few heartbeats.

Faiya yawned as she stepped up to the fancy house that looked like a party store had thrown up on it. The little toddler was getting tired, and it showed in the way she visibly drooped as she walked, her bucket nearly dragging the ground. Still, nevertheless, she hefted it up with a bright smile as the door opened... revealing a grumpy-looking person who said nothing, just moved his hands around and did something weird with his middle fingers before a... a big thing fell on him.
That did it.
Nothing else had truly gotten to Faiya tonight, aside from the box of spiders and the mean people, but this had managed to terrify her completely, and the scent-obsessed child barreled down the walk and into her mother's arms, screaming the entire way. Said parent quickly decided that it was time to go home at last.
Neither was ever going to be going outside on this particular holiday ever again!

Tarot was slowly getting more tired, which translated into more grumpy. She was demanding a different costume next year, for sure!
The next house certainly didn't improve her mood. It looked normal enough, but inside was all silver and shiny and full of lights and knobs. Normally a paradise for toddlers, Tarot instantly disliked it. The occupants were a bright green that hurt her eyes with giant heads. They jabbered at each other and kept pointing at her.
In the end a smaller green thing came waddled out and tossed a handful of brown caramal squares in Tarot's bag with a squeak sound. Tarot managed a torturous, "Thank you," before dragging herself back to Sev.

"How many more houses we gotta go to," Tarot whined, looking up at Sev. By now her guardian was looking as tired as her, having to carry the heavier items she had procured that day.
"Just a few more Tarot." She sighed and turned to the next home. It looked like a graveyard, which seemed inviting by now. Strangely enough the homeowner was dressed like a vampire. What was a vampire doing in a graveyard?
Sev watched as Tarot vanished to the front of the house, then came trotting back clutching something in her arms. "Wha'd you get?" He leaned closer to examine the item Tarot held up.
Tarot was pretty sure this would be her favorite memory of the night. She loved hearing Sev squeak, and this was an amazing squeak! He even passed out for a moment. She was pretty sure he would chuck the jar of eyeballs into the first bin they passed, but it was worth it.

Tarot had been correct; Sev tossed they jar into a dumpster as they passed. He didn't care if they were real or not, they weren't keeping them! He also insisted on following Tarot to the door of the next house, no matter how normal it looked.
The home occupant looked normal enough at first, then the door was opened entirely. The woman was holding a blood-stained ax and saying something about giving forty whacks. She was looking around like she wasn't really seeing anything, and starting muttering something about giving forty-one whacks next.
She reached behind her and Sev was ready to pull away. Before he could get two steps something heavy came flying at him, and the door slammed. Tarot pulled free to look at what was thrown. It was a giant roll of tickets, much like what had been given to her at an earlier house. She couldn't read them, but Sev told her they were all for a Zombie. How odd.

Tarot was pretty sure Sev was getting as tired as she was. Lack of yipping from the box seemed to indicate the puppy had fallen asleep as well. Or maybe he was being crushed by the two rolls of tickets and pretty box containing a mystery item.
Well, at least they next house they went to didn't add to their load. It was very oddly-shaped, like it had been a normal house by weird things got crammed onto it as time went by. Tarot knocked on the door and watched it inch open. A furry boy looked at her, then slammed the door closed before she could say anything.
Tarot was tired, so wasn't all that disappointed by lack of candy. She did wonder how the boy had gotten so furry though, and what was up with those fangs and claws?

Another house Tarot would have avoided came up. There was some crazy guy in a white coat shouting a bunch of words and phrases she didn't understand like "science", "expirement", and "effects of sugar on the brain relative to costumes".
You'd think she'd get candy from this place. But no, all she got was a bottle of something liquid. The man had been bouncing around all this time, so it probably wasn't good anymore. Nonetheless, Tarot tucked it in her bag and moved on.

Vance happened upon a normal looking house, walking up and ringing the bell. There were no decorations at all, but why not try. He was soon greeted with a very excited woman dressed as a sexy soldier. Vance thought she was just scary looking. "Trick or treat." He said shyly. The woman fawned over the boy, giving him a couple of regular sized Mars bars. After more cooing, the woman went back inside. Vance quickly left to do more trick or treating.
At least he got candy.
