Liplopman Ravenclaw, 2nd Year
He wasn't sure why she was thanking him either, but felt a surge of something when she did. Perhaps guilt for undeserved thanks or... a satisfied sense of worth? He smiled at the humorous term in this situation. He cleared his throat. "Just, um... the discussion in Muggle Studies made me start thinking about my dad for some reason."
He looked up and saw she would need more to go by. "My father was my main prosecutor at home. I don't suppose you remember exactly, but," he loosened his tie and unbutton the first few buttons on his shirt, then pulled it down the side to reveal his shoulder. It was quite dark and badly bruised. "He gave me this curse as a parting present. Any time I make contact with someone my skin burns, bruises and cuts... it's more severe the longer they hold me and the more affection they do it with. That's why I didn't really want to shake your hand, and why I whimpered when you touched my shoulder." He pulled his shirt back up and straightened the rest out. He hoped to god she realized he was doing to illustrate a point, not for pity. "... it's so I won't go around touching boys while he's not looking."
He sat back and sighed, feeling as though he'd just released a weight. "Any way, you can imagine what kind of a guy he is. There are a lot of reasons thinking about him is... unpleasant."

I look at the small text I had removed from my bag. I take a deep breath before opening the book. I take out my wand and tap it while whispering "Kagegetsuoni Nabimaru Laufia Kamakaze." I watch as my family's history appears on the pages.
I turn to the history book, I flip through it until I find the section I need, the section on my family.
I read through the section intently, seeing if there's anything that jogs my memory. Nothing does.
I turn to the family history, my history. I flip frantically through the pages. The year Voldemort came to power was non-existent. And I still couldn't remember anything.
"I had hoped there would be a clue..." I mumble to myself. Its so frustrating to not know if I had blood on my hands or not.
I growled in frustration.

Goddess Callysto A gasp escaped Callysto when Nam revealed to her, what must have been, a very difficult secret to keep. She closed her eyes and breathed in deeply. Unconsciously her fingers curled into a white-knuckled fist. She growled and slammed her fist into the table, creating a crack in the worn wood. How dare that man! Her mind screamed at her to do something, anything to protect the boy.
Her rage as she pounded the table yanked Nam from his relief. "Callysto..." He wasn't sure if he was moved or frightened. "... please understand. Where I come from, if any one else had found me they would have mutilated my body and hung it up in front of the town hall like just another hunting trophy. My father is being... very merciful with me. He's protecting me. My time here has skewed my perception. I was being ungrateful." He bit his lip. This would not ride over too well. "My father loves me. That's why he did it."
He heard the voice of Kage a row over. This was not the time. "...fine." he replied stiffly, eying Callysto.

"Mmm k." I called back a bit distracted. I was flipping through the pages rapidly, I had to find something. I needed to find something.
Maybe I can find someone to take the memory charm off me...I paused, turning the idea over in my head.
"No..." I dismiss it almost at once.I'll find a way to do this myself. I can feel tears of frustration gather in my eyes. Its time to leave. I tap my wand against the family book whispering my name again before packing it away.
I rush out of the Library with an insane need to hit something.

"My... here has skewed... my perception. I... being ungrateful...My father loves me... why he..."
Anger coursed through Callysto's body. Her eyes blazed with fury as she squeezed her fists tighter and tighter. Callysto was furious. Her mind shouted at her so fast she was incapable of forming English sentences. She began spewing words in her native Elvish tongue.
'Don't you ever say such things again! That beast does not love you.'
"Everything ok over there?" Someone called but all she was able to do was hiss in response.
'Have done that to the boy?... The boy...'
Callysto stopped. The boy. Nam. She turned toward him, her dark eyes showing the sorrow she felt for him. She wanted to pull his lanky frame into her arms and protect him from that man. But she knew she could not, hold him that is. She would protect him.

Callysto was suddenly wielding as much ferocity as a storm at sea. She spoke in a commanding tone that could have been some sort of divine wrath. And then it all came to a stop as fast as it had come. And her eyes - her magnificent eyes had that look as though she was mourning a great loss. Nam did not know what to say. "I am truly sorry Callypto. I did not know how cruel it would be to show you this." He stepped around the table until he was next to her and took her hand, wincing for only a moment as he did. "But all the same, I feel you should learn this culture. I'd like you to remember there are places we are regarded as demons and killed on sight." He smiled up at his idol. "I am alright now."

Goddess Callysto When Nam took her hand and spoke so calmly to her she couldn't stop her eyes from tearing up. "Yes," she said softly, "you are." Callysto smiled at him, shocked at the admiration she saw in his eyes, she was sure it was reflected in her own. Yes, she admired the boy; she admired his strength, his bravery, his insight, and his awkwardness with others. She chuckled, "I'm quite fond of you, you know?"
Nam sported a dreamy grin. The pain in his hand intensified, but it was nothing, he was in complete ecstasy. This was the first time he felt love for anyone but his mother. "And I you." He probably had never met some one with a bigger heart. She had shone more compassion than he had seen in the 13 years of his existence. And yet she wasn't a sap - she was quite stylish in her casual approaches. He decided from this moment on she was, in his mind, his sister.
A bell tolled in the distance. "Strike me down - I should be in bed." He held up her hand and held it between both of his. "Goodnight Callysto. Thank you." He slipped away and up the stairs, passing back many gleeful and appreciative glances before he rounded a corner out of sight.

"See you soon, Nam." Callysto watched as he exited the library, turning back every so often, and smiled. Her grin remained even when he was out of site.
She sat in silence for nearly a half-an-hour tapping her fingers on the old wood. There was no doubt in her mind, this boy was special to her. She desperately wanted to help him -- to spend her life without contact would destroy her; it nearly had just recently. She stood up, picking up her bag and made her way to the Headmaster's office. A pass to the 'restricted section' was just what she needed.

It wasn't long after breakfast that Emma strode into the library. With the hunger of the body silenced, the hunger of the mind always came forward quickly. In her 2 days at Hogwarts, she hadn't once entered or even peeked in the library and because of that, she was awarded with a breathtaking view now.
'This... is huge.'
This library was nothing like the village library at home. It had enormous bookshelves with books on it that were at times living, moving things. All of them seemed to call out to her at once.
After a few minutes and many students that bumped into her on their way in or out--as she was blocking the entrance--she picked a heavy brown book from the nearest shelf, settled into one of the big chairs next to the tables in the middle and started leafing through it.

I walk in and send a longing glance at the restricted section.
I should ask Headmaster Sing about this. I think as I walk in the opposite direction from the off-limits section. I seek out some more books about the war. Its hard because they're all very vauge. Finding nothing I find a chair by the window and plop down.

Seventh year Slytherin studentDaemon strode into the libary, walking to the charm section, looking through the books. In his bag was an iPod. Grasping a few, he went to a large table, sitting down, wondering if anyone would join him.

I look up and watch Daemon walk into the library.
"One more time.." I whisper to myself getting up and once again making my way towards the history section. I nod a Daemon as I pass by.

I walked into the library and into the Charms section, that’s when I saw Daemon sitting behind a large stack of books, he somehow beat me here, oh well. Walking over to him I said,”Hey Daemon, I’ve come to join in the experimentation, hopefully it’ll work after we get done.”I dropped down into the seat next to him, and grabbed one of the books and began flipping though it.
