"Really? You came for lunch? What about second period?" Mike asked, walking with Amber, hand in hand, to the cafeteria to find a table.
Mike found a nice and quiet one in the corner and led Amber to it. He pulled out his lunchbox; stuff that his mom diligently made for him. He then pulled out a second container. He slid it across the table.
"Here. Fried shrimp won tons from my mom," Mike explained, "She thinks you're too skinny."

Lynn did not turn around, but rather she froze in her seat. Her eyes darted to the side, her peripheral vision confirming that the voice indeed belong to Jay.
"What?" Principle Figgins stood up, then turned to Jacob with a furrowed brow, "You fed me a c**k and bull story? Next time you come here with another accusation, I will have you suspended!"
Principle Figgins turned back to Mr. Foreman. "Yes, I'd have to agree with you. You are one of the best teachers here. And Miss Wilson, do win another title at the Brainiac Competition, no?"
Lynn suddenly found herself outside Principle Higgin's office, hardly believing what had just happen. She turned to Jay, her mouth in a thin line.
"What the hell did you say that for?" Lynn hissed, "Now the whole school will think we're dating."

Amber merely shrugged still dazed in sleep as she sat.
"I guess I missed it," she answered simply then looked to the fried shrimp won ton Mrs. Chang had sent her. A small smile appeared on her face, almost laughing despite her being so darn tired.
"Tell her thank you," Amber smiled. "But I'm not that skinny."

Jay's breath finally caught up to him as he looked over to Lynn as Mr. Foreman walked off proudly.
"I guess we'll have to make it seem true then?" Jay shrugged his mind formulating an appropriate reason for his behaviour.
"You're a member of the Glee Club. We stick up for one another."

Mike shrugged, shoving his food down his throat.
"Well. If my mom is giving you food, she must likes you," Mike told her, "I don't know about my dad. You saying photography hurts him. He was a failed photographer. Well, failed, as in, no one understood the art in his pictures. So now he's a Account manager."

"Fine. We pretend then," Lynn frowned, crossing her arms, "You can do that much, can't you? Try not to be obvious."
PostPosted: Thu Sep 23, 2010 8:11 pm

"Oh?" Amber blinked now slightly more awake than before. She munched a bit on the won tons enjoying the different flavour from what she was commonly used to.
"So the few photos hanged up were his?"

"I can totally manage that," Jay smiled assuringly. The pair of them headed out of the office and Jay could hear it. Damn, the grapevine really did work fast. He tried not thinking about it, rather, he didn't really care since his mind was occupied by another thought. Why, why in the world did he really run to the office like that? He knew there was a true reason, but he wanted to believe his made-up reason.

"Yeah. I don't really get them. But, after my dad explained it, it made more sense. Photography shouldn't be like that right? They say a picture is worth a thousand words. But my dad still needed words to explain his pictures. Maybe that's why it didn't work out," Mike rambled on, thinking about it for the first time in a new perspective.
Mike stopped his shoveling. He had never really thought about his dad or even cared what his dad thought. He then realized that his dad was more subtle about things. Like with his passion for dance; was it not his dad who helped him with the studio? Mike made a mental note to ask dad what he thought of Amber.

Lynn gave Jay her textbook.
"Carry," she ordered as she opened her locker to get out her lunch.
She continued to walk, turning her head ever so slightly so that she could she Jay following. She went outside and sat on a bench under a tree. She took the textbooks and set it besides her before opening her lunch and pulled out vegetable sticks and the like.
"You can go now," Lynn told him.

Amber stepped into the decorated gymnasium, her face split into a smile. Currently she was sporting the complete Alice in Wonderland appearance. Pale blonde wig, black hair bow, blue dress, striped socks, and mary jane pumps. She actually really enjoyed dressing up like this. It was like she was someone else, well, technically, she was becoming someone else. Even for Halloween, Amber had left her camera at home just so she could prefect her alias. Upon entering the gymnasium, Amber spotted Kurt first, he was pretty easy to recognize, and headed over to greet and chat with him for a bit.

Jay shifted his feathered hat. He and the others on the football team and in Glee Club decided to do something together. Well, Finn somehow ended up being a Prince, while Puck, Mike, and himself ended up being the 3 Musketeers. The outfits were pretty awesome, they had to give Puck kudos for them. Don't be mistaken, though, Puck didn't make the outfits, he knew a mom who owned a costume store and gave them like super discounts. Jay walked about the gymnasium vaguely wondering where Lynn was, he was technically her 'boyfriend' now. But, truthfully, he just wanted to see what she had dressed up as.

At first Mike couldn't find Amber. But then he saw Alice and was very surprised. It amazing how an Alice outfit would make her look even cuter than usual. He drew his rapier and obstructed her from walking.
"Hey Alice. Aren't you fine tonight," he said winking jokingly, then sheathed his rapier again, "Your costume is amazing."
Mike looked her up and down, and looked at himself. His costume was impressive as well, but he was still dressed up as a musketeer. Whereas, Amber really did look as if Alice hopped out of the rabbit hole.

Usually Lynn would not even bother with such an event, but when Jay invited her to go to the Halloween dance, she spent many days in her bed all giddy and thinking about what to wear. She decided to be the Queen of Hearts. The corset was squeezing her, the low square cut of the top made her uncomfortable as it showed her cleavage as a deep V. The puffy skirt was cumbersome and the heels were a pain. A mini crown was perched on her curled up-do hair that took so long to perfect. But she had to say, she looked pretty damn nice.
Lynn was currently sitting at a table, enjoying her Halloween goodies. It was the only one time that Lynn allowed herself to consume sweets.

Amber eyes followed the line of the object that suddenly appeared before her. She smiled a bit more seeing it was only Mike. He was dressed as a musketeer, which suited very well if she must comment.
"Thank you Mr. Musketeer," Amber giggled lightly still smiling. Over the course of the October, Amber slowly had grown use to Mike's presence and was able to talk to him more freely. Though, she still had troubles approaching him directly, just with all the other jocks and Cheerios in Glee Club. It was definitely progress, though.

At last Jay found his target and what a sight it was! His mouth made a small 'o' in amazement, she looked spectacular. He began to titter for a moment at the irony of her costume choice, but he calmed himself after a moment and approached her.
"Nice to see you come, Lynn," Jay spoke tilting his hat as a gesture of acknowledgement. He then noticed the sweets that Lynn had been picking on. He hadn't noticed them before, a cookie suddenly seemed very tempting. Of course, Jay had to pick it up and took a bit leaving the cookie crying from its new injury.

Mike made a gallant bow and held out his arm.
"May I ask you to dance?" he asked politely with a boyish smile he knew she could not resist.
Meanwhile, Tina was watching Mike. Although they had broken up, she couldn't believe how fast Mike moved. But then again, she had moved from Arty to Mike really fast.

Lynn inclined her head to acknowledge him then turned her attention to picking off the raisins on the mouse cookies.
"I had to come. Well, I'm supposed to be your girlfriend aren't I?" Lynn reasoned with him.
Personally, she would of loved to be his girlfriend for real. For the past few weeks, Jay was like the perfect boyfriend. After all the crap that she gave him, he still managed to get her to take off her mask. He was patient and understanding. Everything she was not. She wanted everything in an instance and she hated trying to comprehend the idiots around her. But, after being with Jay, she realized maybe the idiots around her weren't idiots afterall. At least Jay wasn't.

Amber suppressed a laugh as she placed a finger on her chin.
"Hmmm... I'll need to think about it," she teased jokingly. In fact, she did want to dance with him. Over the month as Mike taught her she really did improve greatly, though, she didn't didn't quite seem like she was improving in front of him. In fact, she actually got some secret lessons from other members of Glee and she practised a lot in her room. Amber placed her hand neatly on his arm, her blue eyes shining as they looked down at him for once.
"Maybe, I suppose, one dance won't hurt."

Jay laughed.
"I suppose that's true," he answered finishing off the rest of his cookie. Truthfully, in the past month, Jay really grew fond of Lynn. Sure the rumours became pretty harsh, lots of them criticizing his relationship with Lynn. Even the other guys on the football team just believed he was with her for marks and asked him if he could get their homework done too. One would have the belief that Jay should've suffered a social nightmare, but somehow joining Glee Club was more of a social suicide for him. It was absolutely, positively... strange.
"Shall we have a dance then?" Jay suggested holding out his hand.

Mike smiled and led Amber to the dance floor.
"Oh. Just in time, it's a slow dance," Mike commented, before hugging her close to him around her waist.
He let his head be close to Amber, his lips grazing her wig. He swayed with her, enjoying the moment.

"Perhaps," Lynn answered, but followed Jay to the dance floor.
As she heard the slow dance music turn on, she froze. She hated slow dances. It reminded her of her ridicule in Junior High, when a guy said he liked her and she agreed to slow dance with him. In the end it was just a bet he made.
"I-I don't want to dance," she said childishly, then recomposed herself, "I'm going to sit. This music has no beat."

Amber, for the first time, was almost to the point of relaxing completely around Mike. Around a jock. Her unusual fear still remained, though, but it had slackened a great deal with Mike. Amber swayed with him, allowing her head, due to the close proximity, to rest softy on his chest area. She had to admit, this was a mighty nice change.

Jay raised an eyebrow as Lynn changed her mind.
"Why not Lynn?" He asked cooly following after her. "We're suppose to be boyfriend and girlfriend remember?"

Tina, on the sidelines, was watching Mike and Amber. If her face could change colours, it would be green with envy. She didn't hate Amber, she was just jealous. She wanted Mike. Why was she with Arty again?
Mike squeezed Amber tight. "Hey, my mom invites you over again."

Lynn scowled, "Fine."
She put her hands stiffly on Jay's shoulders and began to sway. In her a opinion, slow dancing was a bit of a joke. It was basically a two step and waving your body back and forth.
PostPosted: Fri Sep 24, 2010 8:58 pm

Amber felt a strange chill at the back of her neck, but brushed the thought off by Mike's sudden statement.
"Eh? Really?" Amber blinked looking up in surprise. To be honest, Amber was actually hoping for that chance to fix her wrongs last time she was in the Chang's house. Last time wasn't disastrous, but it was more like Amber wanted to actually talk and say the things she wanted to say before when she was shaking like a nervous wreck. In the last month she really matured, really began to understand people. Everyone from Glee Club were friendly and it was just about the real first friends she ever had in her whole life. It was a nice change.

Jay smiled himself swaying along with her. Luckily for him, her dress didn't cause too much trouble and he was still able to dance with her. Sometimes Jay actually wondered why he kept going on with the boyfriend-girlfriend charade because technically they could've broken up and people would believe it. It wouldn't be suspicious whatsoever. But, there was this part of Jay that didn't want to let Lynn go like that. To lose that closeness they acquired due to the charade. Jay unconsciously pulled Lynn as close as possible before the dress obstructed them. He was glad that he was the one to discover Lynn and he was the one to discover she wasn't so bad after all.

"Yeah. No doubt wanting to feed you some more, but I think my mom really likes you," Mike said.
He steered her through the dancers as he gave her a twirl and held her close again.

Lynn stared pass Jay's shoulders. She tried to ignore Jay completely.
"You know what? Why don't we just drop this act? We can break up, you know. Stage an argument. This way, we don't have to play this charades anymore."
