"Yes, thankfully they do have practice rooms here," Scarlett said, walking over to her bag. "They've been very hard to get into though."

Opening the wardrobe, Scarlett emptied the contents of her bag onto the floor. Inside the door, she placed her practice shoes on the lowest shelf. The pale pink pointe shoes looked lost in the sea of brightly colored dance shoes. Taking out a hanger she hung up a vividly colored, long green and black skirt. She hung it on the outside of the cabinet. Taking her laundry bag, Scarlett tossed it into the hamper beside her desk.

"I've luckily been able to start better study habits," Scarlett said, turning the bag inside out and hanging it in the closet. "Sometimes, the waitlists are really long."

"Interesting." He said in a tired fashion, still semi pissed off. He couldn't imagine there would be that many who would want to use the dance rooms. Scarlett was the only dancer he had met so far. Not that he had met that many people.

He realised what with studying and other events he hadn't sat down and chatted to Scarlett for a while.
"So, anything interesting been going on this week?"

"I've been accepted into a special 3D Art seminar with Professor Vonnegut. My portfolio was approved, so I get to learn digital art and sculpture!" Scarlett said with enthusiasm returning to her voice.

As she talked, she went to her desk and started slipping the texts and notes into their places on the bookshelves. Her room wasn't particularly messy, but she felt the need to tidy with Ra visiting from the other side of the wall. Looking at her things, she found her letter to the Astrology Club and her computer club notes. She looked at them with mixed feelings. They were things she could talk to Ra about, but wasn't sure if she could or not. Opening her top desk drawer, Scarlett laid them inside carefully before shutting it quickly.

"Other than that... just helping with stuff for the dance, and thinking of ideas for my Computer Club project. I haven't been too social this week."

"Sounds cool." He said watching her tidy all of her textbooks away. Good job she hardly ever saw his side of the room. It was a state. Ra hadn't actually been to any of the clubs he had signed up for yet. He was a bit nervous, although he loved sport, it was through sport that most of his bullying experiences occured.

Rugby and hockey were good covers for "accidental" kicks to the head and broken fingers.
"I need to put in appearence at my clubs, I've been too preocupied, I almost forgot I signed up."

"I am really excited about the dance, but I haven't been able to get a hold of Eri lately," Scarlett said, returning to drain her cup.

Sitting back she realized how much more involved she was at Aquila than she ever was at Our Lady Hope. With the restaurant and all the bullying, she never stayed after school unless it was necessary. Living on campus and not having work to run to, severely cut the number of places she could hide. At least she was trying new things and keeping up with some older ones.

"Which clubs did you sign up for?" Scarlett said with a playful smile. "Been too busy chasing girls to make an appearance?"

"What can I say, girl chasing is a full time job." He half joked running a hand through his hair nervously. Considering the events of the past week it wasn't far from the truth. "Uh...I joined Sports Alliance, at least I think that's what it is called, kendo, Science club for extra credit. I'm considering Archery actually, it looks cool. I signed up for a couple of waiting lists."

He helped himself to more tea. This school had so many cool activities on offer he wanted to try a bit of everything. Yet he'd probably signed up for way too many.

"If you're in archery, you can hang out with Ceara more," Scarlett said sitting back down on the floor. "She's really cool! We have two classes together."

The clubs Ra joined were pretty much the opposite of what she would have picked. Then again, Ra was intelligent and athletic and Scarlet was anything but. Seeing him all the time, she forgot that they were in separate grades, so aside from social things, they were somethings they couldn't really talk about.

"Which waiting lists are you on? I'm still waiting to hear back about Student Council," Scarlett said, helping herself to tea. "I finally got into one of my other waitlist clubs the other day."

"Yeah, I've been meaning to talk to her about it actually." Ra placed his cup on the floor and leaned back on his hands.
"I signed up for Astrology. I thought it sounded pretty interesting. Though I heard it's really tough to get into. Which club did you get into?"

"You applied for Astrology, too?" Scarlett said surprisedly. "I have no idea what they do though. I'm hoping it'll show me how to read star charts and my horoscopes."

Scarlett was unsure about continuing the discussion further. Despite it's long waiting list, Scarlett managed to get in but her roommate hadn't. She finally understood how Ceara reacted when asked about it. As mysterious and interesting as it was, the students in the club weren't supposed to talk about it. Biting her lip, Scarlett racked her brain trying to think of a way to keep the conversation natural.

"Are you hungry?" Scarlett said, feeling her own stomach growl. 'That wasn't natural at all...'

Ra looked up at the clock and picked up his cup.
"I'm not really hungry actually. I'm going to go out for a bit." He'd had enough of small talk and was still harbouring resentment towards her earlier insult. He needed to get outside where the anger could burn away. He didn't want to cause tension with an argument.
Standing up he picked up the mug and the teapot.
"I'll se you later, maybe." He said half smiling as he grabbed his coat from the back of the door and headed out to the hallway.

"All right, see you later, Ra," Scarlett said, watching him leave.

Going into the kitchen she washed the mugs, leaving them on the counter to air dry. Looking back on the conversation, it was probably the closest her and Rashne ever came to a disagreement. She didn't like it at all. Picking up the unread cooking magazine, Scarlett tossed it in the bin before settling at her desk to do her homework.

"I guess, there's only room for one of us to be angry," she said, rolling her eyes. "That's unfair, isn't it?"

Ra had just reached the door when he realised that he had forgotten his lighter. Turning round he entered the room again only to catch Scarlett's last comment.
"What?" He said harsher than he had intended it. "What have you got to be angry about?" He asked slamming the door and folding his arms. He didn't see what he had said that could have made her equally as angry as he was.

"That's not a proper greeting, you know," Scarlett said flatly.

She kept her nose in her book. She hated when door slammed. It reminded her of the time, she was beaten and locked up on storage closets at school. He asked her, what she thought and he got all bent out of shape when she answered. Closing her book, she took a deep breath.

"I'm not all sunshine and rainbows, Rashne," she continued, looking over her shoulder at him.

"Congratulations Scarlett." He said sarcastically. "But I really don't see how the ******** that gives you the right to insult my girlfriend, who you barely know."
He stared daggers at her and tried to control the temper that was bubbling up inside him. "If you're pissed off at me then I want to know why, as I'm obviously missing something." He stayed put waiting for whatever answer she could come up with.

"Wait a minute, there! I never said Chiitra was the sort of girl who was shallow enough to obsess over Valentine's Day nor did I ever say I was angry at you," Scarlett said, rising to her feet.

Pushing her chair in, she leaned against her desk. Crossing her arms, her face flushed. She hated when people raised their voices and swore. She didn't take too well to those sorts of intimidation. A knot grew inside her stomach, she really didn't want to have this argument with Rashne. However, she wasn't content with sitting there and being bullied either. She had left that part of her life behind.

"Sorry to disappoint you, but my life doesn't revolve around you and your girlfriend, so don't assume everything's about you!" She said icily. "Trying thinking about other people for a change!"
