Conor rolled his eyes at Keith – yeah, yeah. Don't burn it. Really, the guy was taking this cooking s**t too seriously. Sure, they wanted to win, but look! They were doing just fine! They just needed to beat that panda.. That was how it worked, right? Less points, higher rank? Well, the old chick – Keith's grandmother – had said their name fourth, so that made them in fourth place. Not that Conor actually knew what 'incremental order' meant.. What? Did anyone actually believe he paid attention during English? ******** that s**t. He knew enough to speak, didn't need fifteen different ways to say every damned word.. Oh, right, Keith was handing him some.. thin as ******** potatoes. They looked like slivers, but – well, what the ********. Not like it would taste any different. He nodded slightly at the guy when he told him the temp, sticking the slices into the oven for 400.. well, 450 degrees. Would cook quicker that way, right? Right. He let it sit open for a few seconds to enjoy that heat before slamming it shut. What, water? He looked over at Keith and raised his eyebrow – uh. He was really enjoying this. That was.. Conor wasn't sure if that was creepy or sexy or what, but he knew it was ******** weird. If Keith liked to cook that much, then why the ******** didn't he ever cook for him before?! Should be making him ******** sandwiches or some s**t.. He frowned and started to boil the water, pouring in the rice and.. then watching it. ..This was boring as ********. He didn't bother to pay attention to the potatoes, which, by this point, should be getting pretty crispy considering their size.. and the heat.

The panda had been studying said bowl for a long time, sloppily tilting it this way and that, until some of the mixture had gathered onto his paw. He let the bowl fall onto the ground with a clatter, losing more than half of the contents onto the ground, and turned his attention to his paw. Oh, that smelled odd.. Looked funny, too, and tasted.. really, really funny. He sucked on his paw, trying to understand just what that funny – oh. His stomach lurched and growled at him, his dark brown eyes turning down to look at his big potbelly. Florence, and probably Gaston as well, weren't aware that clams weren't in the usual panda diet.. and that these clams in particular were just a bit overdue. Or perhaps one of them was, for after a few hacking chokes, the panda coughed up the fish, shrimp, and whatever else he decided to munch on in the previous round into the bowl. He wheezed and shook his head, moving off to the other end of the station to flop down. That.. didn't feel good at all.. Ugh.. He lifted a paw over his head and rolled onto his stomach, laying down for now.

He looked back at the blond, German pair, smiling at them. “Cute kid. Probably be in this year.” He commented at Winnie as he turned back towards Gladice's direction. The scores.. well, they weren't so bad. Better than he expected, at least. Though, he really, really wanted to win this.. He frowned. Maybe he should practice cooking more? Though.. Winifred didn't seem like the most experienced cook. Not at all what he expected, but it was probably wrong of him to assume she could cook. Oh, well. Looks like it was up to Herman! Needed a man sometimes to do the right thing and he wasn't going to have his cute counselor die of shame for losing to a pair of teenage girls! Now..! Oh, entree? Well! Herman knew what to do there! He smiled widely, excited as he went over to fetch some – aha! Shark! He was hoping they would have some over here! The man wasn't sure what the local fishermen caught, but at least the folks seemed brawny enough to take one of these critters down.
Retrieving some of the meat and a few other ingredients, he went back to the table and started to cut it, handing the oil, orange juice, paprika, and salt over to Winnie. “Mix that up, sweetheart?” He asked while he went to cutting the oranges as quick as he could manage. He wasn't the best with a knife, but with how pumped up he was to get this one done right..! Well, he thought he was doing pretty good! “Let's see.. dip that shark into the bowl and toss it in the oven! Then, uh..” He paused – uh. What else..? There was something else.. he had to do.. ah. Well, it looked good like this! He went back to slicing up the oranges, “Just bake that for.. twenty minutes? At.. say four hundred degrees? Yeah. That sounds about right.”

Glare after glare after glare after.. My god, was Kim really that mad? Kade had just entered him into a contest! He puffed out his cheeks in annoyance – he thought Yoakim liked food! After all, he stared at the competitors last year so intently! ..Though, it was really just one competitor.. Who wasn't in the competition this year, but the hairdresser didn't take note of that. He was too busy putting his thoughts on making this dish the most beautiful one that mayor had ever seen! With the way he looked down on Kade's.. admittedly messy panda design.. It annoyed him to no end! Now, what did Kade have to work with? Hm? Lentils.. fish.. and.. oh, this didn't smell good at all. Too overwhelming, but.. for as bad as Yoakim was in the kitchen, he was doing pretty good here. Just his choice in ingredients.. seemed really, really off. But! Kade wouldn't question him! No, he was just here to make everything pretty! He rolled up his invisible sleeves once again and waited. He frowned – this was taking.. forever.. “Okay, done!” He chimed after his patience wore out and opened the oven. His first reaction was a small (very loud) squeak as he forgot that invisible oven mitts weren't the best for the oven. He blew on his fingers and shook them out, tearing up as he went to shove on the oven mitts. Why didn't Kim get it out?! Nevermind that Kade had leaped for the oven, the man should have still-! Oh.. That smelled kind of nice.. His hands still burned, but he did managed to tidy up the dish and make it look pretty regardless. What did he expect? His attention span wasn't the best, after all, and he was aiming to perfect this round!

Once the cooking was finished, Herman stood back and let Winifred fix up the dish the best she could. It didn't turn out horrible, but it wasn't the best either. Herman frowned - he really had tried this round.. But, hell, with a small sniff to the air of the different dishes cooking, it looked like everyone was doing bad. He wondered if it was just a bad day for cooking.. Was there some kind of fairy for chefs? Probably got stepped on or something. He sighed and hoped that Winnie could fix this up for them.

Gaston had opted to going first this round. After that.. disgusting round before, he was thankful to see the Sex Bullets rushed off to the hospital for some poisoning or other. At least that left him without having to try – oh, god, what was that smell? He crinkled his nose as he came to the first table, the scent of vomit touching his oh so perfect nostrils. God.. God, what was wrong with – oh. This was.. Florence's table. The man stopped before his lazing, beautiful panda, aghast that his pet could come up with something so foul. He wasn't sure what to think, but he knew.. knew that he couldn't leave his Florence's dish to be simply stationary! He had to try it! For Florence! So, the man knelt and took the bowl of mushy, raw clams and chunks of god knows what. He turned his head away for a second to get a breath of air before resigning himself to trying a spoonful..

..It was.. disgusting. It had came from his sweet, adorable panda, but – He gagged and carefully set the bowl down, holding a hand over his mouth. Oh, please, please – he didn't want to puke again that day. No, no, he could hold it. He didn't want to hurt Florence's feelings. He blanched as he moved onto the second station on his list, praying that they would be able to take away this revolting taste in his mouth.
Next was the German pair, the oh so disappointing pair from before. He glanced at the display and found it to be average yet again. Ah, such a disappointment. He was learning to dislike these commoners or at least just shove them aside as mere peasants. Pity, he had a commercial pamphlet photoshoot in mind for the pair. It looked like he would have to find another way to advertise Nirvani as picture-perfect. He shook his head and took a bite of the fish..

..Not bad at all. It did the trick and that certainly pleased Gaston. Hm, maybe that second chance wasn't so bad an idea after all. He took another bite just to completely wash away that.. he hated to think it, but that garbage he had tried from Florence earlier. Now, he moved onto the third station.
The Tepes boy had to come next, if only because of the wonderful display he had managed in the last round, the heavenly taste, and overall perfection. He smiled at the man.. men and glanced at the plate to find – ugh. Well, he certainly had slacked in this next round. Just look at how sloppy it was! The lettuce was all over the plate, mixing with dribbles of white sauce and so plain! Even the dish itself was annoyingly plain.. Fish tacos? Well, Gaston had never actually tried it, but he knew whatever was on the menu of his parent's fast food chain wasn't worthy of his tongue. He drawled a sigh and took one to give a small, very small, bite.

Hm. That was good as well.. Not the best he had tasted, not the worst.. But it didn't compare to what Dante had managed that last round. He set the dish down and went to the fourth station on his list.
The gay pair..? Well, last time they had fai- OH, dear lord! What was that?! That had to be the worst display up! Gaston looked over the hairdresser's work on the plate and.. he didn't know what to say. It was awful, that was the best word for it. He was going to give the man a second chance, something so rare from one such as himself, but now he couldn't think as to why he should have. This was.. it was as bad – nay, worse than the mockery of before! Now, they weren't just mocking his panda, they were throwing an insult onto Gaston for having view such a horrible, dreadful display of a dish! What was it even meant to be? Tuna? Salmon? He couldn't tell over the array of scents drifting off it and.. he honestly didn't want to know. Instead, he simply took a bite and hoped it wouldn't be the worst thing he had ever tasted.

Oh, this would have been perfect had Gaston not been so disappointed. Pity. He took a second and third bite just to double check - no, no. He was still disappointed. Not much a good flavor could do. He shrugged and went to the..
Fifth – oh. The ugly couple. They hadn't been.. so bad the last time he came here. In fact, if he remembered right, they had been almost the best. Below his panda and that Tepes man. Well, on his list, anyway. He glanced at their presentation and took a breath. No, no.. it was still just average. Hopefully it wouldn't prove to disappoint.. He shook his head and took one of the burnt potato slivers, examining it. Were these fries? Oh, he hated fries.. and any fast food. He had thought that with Dante, but it was true. He gave them a withering look before taking a bit of fish and rice as well..

Yet again.. this would have been a perfect dish if Gaston hadn't had such low expectations for them.. He walked over to the next table. This was beginning to be a bore for him..
Ah, Mystery Girl X. She had done decently in the last round.. Not first place worthy, but not the worst of the lot. She must be good, right? Of course! Just look at how she stands there, admiring her beautiful display! No, this had to be the best display he had seen this round! It certainly lifted his spirits to see it and he broke into a smile at the sight. Of course, it wasn't the 'best' the girl could have done, but it was still pretty and that was good. Good enough for him to appraise it for a few moments before giving it a bite – my, that was hard to cut into.. was this fish raw? ..Oh, well. He supposed sushi was raw, wasn't it? Perhaps it was a dish he didn't know of. Whatever it was, it had beauty and that was what counted! He took a munch..

Gaston had a palm to his forehead, drawing in a deep breath. Even the ugly people had done better than this! He twisted his lips into a frown, drooping some at how.. average this competition was turning out to be..
Here was the old man and young woman again. Now that he took a second look and that German pair was out of the picture, he wondered if perhaps they would be a better example of the community spirit here. There was a nice contrast of ugly.. senile old man and pretty, delicate girl. Both were involved in the school, right? It was perfect! Now, if only they hadn't frustrated him with this poor example of skill that was their dish! Had they even tried to make it look good?! The shark was dripping of oil and sat in a pool of it's own juices. He grimaced and gave them both a look before cutting into it for a bite..

Again?! How could – why – but! Oh, well, ugly dish, average taste. He supposed that was how it should go. He just hoped the last one would be better.. but he doubted it.
Haruka was last to try and he wasn't really sure if he felt like it at this point. The girl had gotten a close second place in the last round, but, in his book, she had been severely lacking. Looking at the halibut she had prepared only made that more clear. She was rather pretty and she was young.. but that didn't excuse entering a competition when she could hardly present her food! Sticking to her small, poor kitchen at home would have been better. He frowned – the peppers were uneven, the fish wasn't symmetrical, and the colors just.. clashed. He rolled his eyes and cut into it for a bite. Well, he had to try it, after all..
