Megeira's heart sank but he allowed her to leave. He couldn't hold her captive here, and he clearly couldn't do anything to change her mind. The best thing to do was probably to stay where he was and let her have her space. He didn't want to see her anyhow. Not now, he wasn't sure he could bear it.
"What's going on mom?" Talon wasn't slow. He knew his mother had been crying. He also knew that there was no good reason to leave right now. Not unless. "No." His eyes widened, he was scared and becoming defensive, "Mom no! Why? He's like the best thing that ever happened to you!"

Fitz laughed aloud, "Ha ha! I know, I just wanted to make you say it." He leaned forward to steal a kiss from her and got almost close enough before his phone rang. He sighed, "Really?" Before he looked at the text and sighed, "Oh s**t." He handed the phone to Porsche before she could ask and sighed once more. "I guess I go get her."

Sheila didn't want to argue. She wouldn't be able to handle it, she was already a mess. "Talon please, babe, I really don't want to fight." She had to take a deep breath, help steady herself. "I am also your mother, do as I say and pack your clothes."

"I'm going to kill you, drown you in this hot tub." She said vehemently, as he leaned in she thought about pulling him in and making him pay. That was of course before she saw his text. "If I were you, I'd just pick her up and drive her around, let her calm down. I bet she's going to regret her decision. Give her some time, she just needs some space I am sure."

Talon tried not to look angry. He really tried. It probably didn't help that he slammed everything he touched as he packed his bags. He loved his mother, sure, but god did she make some stupid decisions in her life, and here she was, making another one, and he wasn't allowed to argue because she was the mom. He shoved past her when he finally had his bags packed and sighed, "You're my mom. You'll always be my mom. But I'm not sure how long it'll be before I forgive you for this one." He turned away again and walked for the front door. Enough was enough. He was sick of moving around and having to start over again every three months or so. It would be especially hard now, after he had finally gotten everything, and now the rug was being pulled from beneath his feet.

"Sounds like the torturer in a horror film, but I guess I could pull that one." He heard the phone again and sighed, "Impatient. That one." But it wasn't Sheila this time, it was Megeira. "Take her wherever she wants and put her up somewhere, then take the weekend off, I'm not going anywhere. - M" Fitz stared at it for a moment, muttered "s**t," and pocketed the phone once more. "I'd better go get them. I'll be back asap."

Shela felt more tears run down her face as she followed Talon down the stairs. She wasn't going back into their, now Megeira's room, for clothes, she wouldn't be able to face him again. "We'll be ok. I'll take as many jobs as I need to to keep you here, in this town and in this school. I promise to you Talon. We won't be moving again." She said softly, and she meant it, no matter what she wouldn't make Talon move again. She'd work herself to death before she made him leave.

Porsche frowned. "You know what. I am going to go talk to my brother, you get Talon in on this, or get her back in the house tonight." She stood and stepped out of the hot tub, grabbing a towel and drying off, then snagging her sun dress and pulling it on over her head. "Both of them are making a stupid mistake. Her's is trying to walk away, and his is letting her. It's up to us, normal people, to set them right." What was this? The little spoiled princess actually trying to help someone? No way.

Talon ignored the woman. She could be his mother, but he certainly wasn't going to listen to this. He waited for Fitz to show up, and when he saw the car he opened the passenger door and sat in that seat, folded his arms and stared out the window angrily.
Talon was in the car before Fitz had a chance to step out and open the door for either of them. He did so anyhow, to open the door for Sheila, but he figured the best thing he could do for her was not to say anything. If he were going to fix any of this, they had to do it with a plan, later.

When Megeira heard them drive away he sighed heavily and stood up, then took down the stairs toward the living room. He noticed Talon had left all of the gaming systems. He certainly wasn't going to be using them. He began packing the systems up and decided he'd ship them to the boy as soon as he knew where that was.

Shela didn't bother to say anything to Fitz, she figured he was a little mad at her, after all Megeira was his friend before she was his. Oh god how her heart hurt. Sliding down she put her head down on the seat. More then anything, she wanted to go back, beg Megeira to forgive her and promise him she'd never leave his side again. But, she lifted her head a moment to look at the back of Talon's seat. She had to protect him, Talon hadn't asked to be brought into the world. She owed it to him to keep him safe.

Not wanting to risk running into Shela and Talon before they left Porsche waited a few minutes after Fitz left, then headed for her brother's home. Walking in she found her brother packing up some of the boy's stuff. "Megeira." She said softly walking up to him she put a careful hand on his shoulder.

"I don't want to talk about it." Megeira decided to stop her before she started, "Don't you have money to go waste somewhere?" He continued shoving the XBox's accessories into the bag with it and sighed, "I'd rather not talk right now."

"So, where am I taking you?" Fitz asked, looking up into the rear-view mirror to search for Sheila.
It was Talon who answered first however, "Straight back to the poorhouse if you can manage. Thanks."

Porsche, though she actually meant well, had no idea how to go about being a caring person. "If you love her, you'll go after her. She's scared. She needs you to be her rock." She said folding her arms and looking at the man. "You'd be stupid to let her get away. For ******** sake Megeira, you kill people, making her suck it up shouldn't be that hard."

Shela sat up straight, and quickly leaned between the two front seats to snatch Talon by the jaw so he had to look at her. " You are not the only one suffering Talon. Life is hard. We have to make sacrifices. I have worked my a** off since I had you, to make sure you had food, clothing, and a house." She let him go, she was angry but more hurt then anything else. "Walking out like that is the hardest thing I have ever done. So don't treat me like s**t because you had to leave some games behind."

Megeira scoffed, "I don't give a ******** about those people. Besides, that's the whole problem, apparently, I kill people. I'm untrustworthy or dangerous or something along those lines."

Fitz really didn't want to get involved in the argument, so he kept his mouth shut, although, Sheila hadn't named a damned place to go yet, so he had to pull over and wait for them to stop.

"No Megeira." Prosche stepped over to her brother, placing her hands on her hips. "She is scared for her son. Someone who has never been exposed to our line of work will take it badly." She sighed and shook her head, agitated with the man's lack of reason. "I still think you should have knocked her up before you told her, that way she couldn't leave." Her hands folded over her chest again. "Call Fitz tell him to bring them back. That women is likely to do something stupid."

Shela realized they had pulled over. "Take us to the nearest hotel, please Fitz." She said as nicely as she could, before returning to her angry argument. "Watch your mouth Talon! I am your mother, you don't talk to me like that!" She sat back slightly. "We had to, we wouldn't be safe Talon, there was no choice. Ok? I can't endanger you, you're my son. I don't care, you're what matters most to me. I would give up my own life if it meant keeping you safe."

Megeira sighed and placed everything to the side, shaking his head, "It's alright, Porsche, you don't have to pretend to give a ********, I'll still give you money." He stood and brushed himself off, then exited the room and headed back to his own room, losing the door behind him.

"Okay well when you don't tell me what's happening, what the hell to you want me think?" Talon kept his arms folded and faced the window, "Let's just move far away again, I don't want to remember this place."

Porsche sighed. Her brother was taking this harder then she had thought. "He's not going for it, I've never seen him this upset." She sent to Fitz in a text message.

Shela sighed. "I'm sorry Talon but the home of a mob boss isn't a good place to raise a boy your age." She sat all the way back. "But I'll keep to my promise. You have friends here. We'll stay. I am as tired of moving as you are baby." Not to mention. She hoped she would be able to see Megeira, not date him again, but if the fates were feeling merciful, maybe she would see him driving by. Since she would be back to walking every where.

When Megeira got into his room he decided to go straight for a shower, maybe that would help. AT least a little. He doubted it, but it was worth a try.

"What the ********? A mob boss?" Talon sat bolt upright and turned to face his mother, he then turned to Fitz, "A mob boss? Are you ******** kidding me? My potential step dad was a mob boss? Turn this ******** car around!" He reached for the steering wheel. Unfortunately for him, Fitz was good at his job, and even better at keeping other people's hands off of the wheel. He caught it with one hand.
"Don't touch the wheel, Talon." Fitz reprimanded him. He wanted to stay out of it, but he decided to look into the rear-view mirror to see Sheila again, "And anyway, Talon, your mother's right."
"What?" Talon sounded less than pleased.
Fitz just continued with a nod, "Megeira lives life on the edge, you shouldn't have to deal with that. What with all of the dangerous things he does like-" he paused, "-well, like, you know." He thought for another moment before he shrugged, "Nope, can't say he does anything dangerous. I mean, I've known the Andreacci's since I was a kid and nothing terrible's ever happened to me - or them." He nodded, "But, it's your mother's decision, and she's responsible for you. But, you should still call Megeira if you ever do anyhting stupid, he has a lot of pull with the police- just saying. He had to get that though, because he's a terrible ******** driver."

Shela sighed. "And that's why we left Talon. Because you would want to be part of his mob. I know you. I won't let you do that." She rested her head on the seat. All she wanted now was to do was crawl into bed and sleep the rest of her life away, live in a dream world where she was still with Megeira. "Your father messed around with people like that, he got into drugs, alcohol, and all that mess. It tore him apart. I'm not going to watch you crash down the same path he took."

Porsche went around the house, talking to every single one of the maids. If she was going to help keep Shela in the house, guessing she would be back, they would need any army to keep her from taking off again.

"That's what this is about?" Talon turned around again and pointed to himself as he spoke, "You think I'll turn out like that good-for-nothin'?" He rolled his eyes and turned back around in his seat, "For what it's worth - I'd have always taken a life without a father figure over a life with you and some guy - then I met Megeira. But nobody cares what I want anyhow, so I guess I'd better find a hobby in throwing rocks at dumpsters."
Fitz was officially trying not to laugh at Talon. Not only was he being obnoxious, he was doing it rather boldly. But he was right, in a way, it was kind of stupid for Sheila to- okay, maybe the news was rather shocking for some. Fitz really didn't know as he had simply figured it out on his own once as a child and been okay with the Andreaccis since.

There was a single gunshot heard from upstairs in the mansion, and many of the workers had stopped and stared wide-eyed in the direction of the top of the staircase. Many of them were being informed of the goings-on at that moment so they began to think the worst. But no one said a word. There was a long pregnant silence in the house before Megeira descended the stairs, as cool and collected as ever and announced that he would be needing a new television upstairs, and "******** that channel."
He was wearing his coat and had pocketed both hands as he strolled past the lot gathered beneath the stairs and spoke one more time, "Can someone call me a cab? I do believe I gave my driver the night off."
