Oh well. Looked over the profile, awkward weapon might be a problem for me at first... Then it's just downhill for Raz from there.

Well, since he's using his shikai in the battle now, it's no longer a surprise. It's smaller and allows for less moves, but works on being awkward.

The true nature of it has yet to be revealed, and yes the scythe sword is a awkward weapon but i enjoy those types of weapons. As for "smaller"? I know not what you mean.

It looks like half of the sword takes a turn. So it's smaller than it once was, giving you less range.
