Alewar's head came back on his serpentine neck as he regarded the blind woman in front of him. He tilted his head to the side as he twisted his body around to check his tail, keeping one eye not only on the girl but on the one who had stepped on him.
"I..am fine." He was still suspicious, especially as the one carrying guns had remained quiet.

 Liliana unwrapped one of her burned arms. "Are you sure? I wouldn't feel right to leave someone I accidentally hurt to just limp off." Liliana looked up at Cain, thankful he wasn't being trigger happy this time.

"I am quite fine missss." The sibilant hiss came out as Alewar noticed the burns. They were caused by an unnatural fire, but not a dark one. He turned fully to her, sizing up slightly so that he was as tall as her.

Cain peered through his white cloth at the dragon, still staying close to Liliana, almost inbetween her and the dragon.

She wrapped her arm back up. "I'm sorry but may I touch you? Your energy keeps changing sizes and I can't tell what you are," she said, timidly offering a hand forward.

"It would probably help if the other was not in the way." When the male had stepped forward, Alewar had backed up, treading into the alleyway that he had been laying across.

Liliana gave Cain a scolding look. "You need to be nice. If he meant harm, we would have already been fighting." She stepped forward, going down to her knees since she didn't know how big he was. Holding her hand forward, she still gave him the choice of contact.

Alewar twisted his neck down and brought the end of his nose against the palm of her hand. He wasn't quite sure what to make of this woman - polite and kind, yet apparently unobservant. Those burns were also still bothering him.
"Tell me girl, how did that happen?"

Liliana blushed. It was a dragon she was talking to. "I had to force Fire to submit to keep a group of students from burning alive," she explained. "One of the younger ones tried a spell with fire that was a little too advance for him to handle. The area caught on fire and I tried to talk it down. When it wouldn't listen, I forced it to save the others."

"Interesting." The dragon pulled its head back and picked its wings up for a moment as it curled its torso down and sat, twisting its head back so that it was staring at her. It pulled its head back so that it could see both of them, though its focus was more on the girl.
"So you can tame fire? An intriguing power indeed..."

"She saved my life because of it as well..."
He remembered what happened only by a little bit, how the fire had caused him to lose his mind, remembering the horrorific event that occured in his childhood.

No, sorry. Not a tamer. I do work with Fire though," she said. "Only a mutual respect between the user and the element can yield a proper result that doesn't harm others." She was interested now. All she had heard about dragons had been... not too kind. But this one seemed nice enough.

"Entertain me a moment lass. Try working with this fire." Alewar let out a thin trickle of white flame that hovered in the air just above his snout as his eye locked onto the girl. Such a power and a willingness to sacrifice herself for others was a good thing for the Dragon.

Cain watched the fire appear as his mind returned to the scene that day when he was a child. The scene of his village burning, his parents cut to shreds by bandits and his neighbors burned alive. He removed his cloth to look at it, blood on it from his burnt left side of his face. Red tears of blood came from the empty eyesocket where he had been scorched by a flamethrower. Still, he wouldn't lose his sanity this time, he would let his dead eye cry its tears of blood.
