It was a rather lovely night, nature's symphony chiming in the background as little creepy crawlers scurried about. Though he would need to venture into the woods along the cleared path. Trees line both sides of him, their branches laced with dewy webs. One eyed bats hung from some of the tendrils, staring at him unfearfully. As he would walk, some of the webs were growing larger in size, that is if he noticed. In the corner of his eye, something moved, though it wasn't easy to tell exactly what it was...though it was large. Then it was gone and the same would happen on the other side. This charade would continue until he was deep into the woods.

As he ventured in, strolling along...the trees began to rise upward, One Eyed bats scattering every which way while releasing squeals. What in front of him was something dark, water spraying against the Lycan- which was odd since it wasn't raining. Something was groaning, sounds of rock grating rock echoed in the air. Suddenly the moon was blocked out. What was before him is a Guardian, a natural wonder that commanded the very forces of nature itself to ensure the safety and security of their wards. This Goliath have little patience for those who would defile their efforts, and offenders who fail to heed warning.

It stared down at the being, waiting for him to speak. What the Lycan was not aware of was the encircling arachnids that had been stalking him as he ventured in. They held off since the Goliath appeared.

"Gwaarrrrrr huurthlulu chickaaaa gwarrahh."

The Goliath spoke, though no one had any idea what it was that he said. He began the slow descent of turning. Since his speed was only 2, it would be awhile before he made his rotation. Water cascaded and fertilized the ground where it splattered. Tiny spirals of green life curled upward from it. Finally, after some time, it started to point east.

"Gwarrrrr itchatagoo."

If the Lycan could see above the canopy, he would notice a small blaze, far off in the distance. It looked to be a cave or something of the sort but it was difficult to tell exactly since it was dark.

The giant Ent was ever grateful, he eventually sat back down again, his form blending in again. The explorer was free to venture forward into the woods once more.

Darion was almost home free to the cave but an Arahcnic Lord had caught sight of him and it was not happy. Not in the least. Quickly it charged in like a thundering horse, piercers raised high as they aimed to impale the Lycan violently. As this occurred, it's torso opened and sticky web was shot out, hoping to trap the thing. The being was quite large and looked juicy. Charlotte had babies to feed!

Description: Instead of hassling and burrowing underground he will run at you with the speed of a horse and drive those spear like legs into the target. Usually he would cut the target open with the claws after impaling.

Sticky Web

Description: They spew out their stickiest silk from their abdomen and shoot it at the target. Though B ranked attacks can easily snap the web C rank attacks will get caught in it and will take a second C rank attack to finally snap it off. The web can suffocate the target if used on the face. They can either leave the web sticking onto them and drag the target around or just plain shoot or after shooting they can stick the other end of the web onto something.

The Arahcnic lord screamed in the turmoil of both missing dinner and at the sudden spark of flames. It recoiled but no where soon enough, it had been too slow for him and in that moment of haste, it found death. The bristles of hair smoldered while the body clawed and curled in upon itself. The only sound left was it's last breath. There were no other spider-beetles around though, so Darion was free to continue with ease.

Though it was no time at all for him to stumble upon the great maw of an unknown cave. Long vines cascaded over the stony pillars, masking some of the opening but from his position it was blatantly obvious that this was what the Goliath had pointed at. All around the arch were strange hieroglyphics, carved into to the solid crudely. As soon as Darion stepped under them though, they began to glow vividly, they knew somehow that he had great power and reverberated such. It wouldn't last long though, the luminance died.

The walls were contoured, encrusted crystals glistening in the barely visible light. Some random bones of previous explorers lay scattered about, a femur here, a skull there. They were old as no one has ventured here in a long time. If he stepped on one, it would turn to dust under his heavy foot. In the distance the sound of running water could be heard, most likely a waterfall. Giant stones also crowd the path, making him weave around them in care. Soon enough he would come to the water, it spanned a length distance though luckily he had a wooden log bridge that he could use to cross over with. Its rope hands threadbare, some of the boards whining against each step, some of them even sounded like they were cracking. There was on in particular that broke, and in the lack of a better build the next four planks gave way. Would he fall to the watery depths? Or catch himself in time?
