Making it out to the forest had been a simple task, but navigating through it would be a complete different mater.
She was deep within the jungle..and most likely was lost, she had no idea how she would really get out, but she would deal with that once she came to it.
Right now her task was simple..complete the missions that the king gave her the option to do and do them. She had to complete a ridiculous amount of missions to just rank up..She blew out a breath she did not know she had been holding and kept walking.
"Oh well" she said to herself..thinking that the more time she spent complaining the more time it would take to actually do the missions.
Finding the critters that she would have to eliminate was easy..already she spotted most of them on the way here.

"Kill 5 Mushroom Monsters and 3 turnip monsters." she said softly..easy enough. Unlike her sister she had really no hangups with putting these nastys out..they wernt people..just creatures.
She walked upon to what she thought must be a den..or a sleeping place for the mushroom creatures. They turned twords her and began to saunter twords her..."Ohh im threatened" She joked as she felt the fire will to her hands. Flinging both hands out like she was flinging a blade, flame daggers ignited and whirled to hit two of the 5 mushroom monsters..they went up in smoke, one crashed into another lighting that one in flame. "3 out of 5..not bad" she said casually. Fire came to her hands once more as she tossed fire ball after fire ball..making sure her aim was true and to not hit the surrounding trees. The remaining 2 creatures went down easily...nothing in these forests stood up to fire attacks she thought.

She turned from the scene as she cracked her neck. A sound above caused her to whip her head around...but as she stared nothing was there.."hmmm" she mumbled..she must have attracted some attention. As she kept looking up into the trees..she almost missed the turnip monsters. 10 or so of them sauntered her way..to see what the commotion was all about. She was confident that she could take them, but she did not like that she was drawing so much attention upon herself.
Taking her Court Sword out of its scabbard on her right hip she held the sword in her left hand. "You creatures will all perish" she said allowed as she ran foreword..They tried to slip out of the way of her blade but she was simply to fast. Cutting them down with a flick of her sword..it was not messy, but simply a long thin cut ending there plantatious lives. "Four...five..six..seven" she counted as she spun to deliver a back blow to the creatures, aiming down to almost cleave it from head to foot...or..what would account for a top and bottom.
The last three stood in a perfect line...perfect for a fire assault. Aiming her Right hand forword she called forth her flames..a wave of fire engulfed the creatures..She snatched a large leaf off of a nearby tree and went to put the fire out on the turnipmonsters.
They where going to be apart of another missions to collect fruit/veggies..

Taking about half an hour Jocelyn gathered the 10 bodies she had slain and piled them neatly onto a large canopy leaf..she had no bag..so she would have to bundle this together with the vines she collected..it weighed about 20 or so pounds..easily somthing to be lifted. As she began her walk outside of the forest..she noticed that she had no idea where to really go..and that darkness was coming down on her..she would have to set up camp for the night and wait until morning.

She awoke with a start...she grabbed her sword that she had layed by her head and stared out into the darkness..her instincts screamed that somthing was there but...but her eyes saw nothing but shadows. It was daylight now, judging by the humidity but it was still immensely dark in certain areas. She stood up and looked to her left, the bundle that she had put together was still there..her bounty..her riches that would carrier her into the next rank.

Before she could leave back to the city she had missions yet to complete. She sighed as she stood up, knees cracking jointing poping as her body got back into motion. She would have to kill 10 more mushrooms..just to prove her fighting ability. "So stupid" she muttered..she knew she could kill the little pests with no problem..she shook her head, she was getting cocky again. That in itself had lead to her getting the s**t beat out of her. "Oh well.." she resolved within herself.
She placed rocks that surrounded the area in a way that she could light a fire...a fire that would be contained and be a beacon so she could get back here.

Willing the fire back to her hands she extended her hand to the wood she piled within the rocks..it soon ignited, satisfied with her results she walked away from the fire..

It took only a few moments to find a dozen or so mushrooms..they looked upon her in anger..somehow knowing that she was the one to kill there fellow..what Man? Mushroom? She would make this quick...forest living was not suited for her..her hair was a mess of tangles and knots..she was starting to smell from not bathing.. Point was she needed out.
Setting her hands in front of her she whispered. "Sorry....." and within moments they went from angry to fearful as they turned to run away...but fire..fire that spewed from her hands swept over them in an angry storm..engulfing them in seconds. She was happy they had no vocal cords to scream...just the feint popping sounds of them combusting was the only reminder that she killed a living creature. Deep down it effected her..they caused no problems for her..they where a mission..thats it. Maybe in the future she would find some other way to deal with the ranking test.

She looked behind her, barely seeing the fire..but seeing it nonetheless she started back, picking up wood she could bring back with her..another E rank mission completed..by just collecting wood. She smiled at the simplicity...her next stop would be at the Bonfire in the city..where she could drop off all of her bounty...being the final say in the mission completion.

Making it back to her little camp she hiked up the large twenty pound bundle she had and set it over her shoulder..and held the medium sized pieces of wood in her left arm..she checked around to double check she had everything..she had her knifes..her sword tucked away..all was set. Blowing a strand of hair from her face she set off through the woods to try and find her way back to the city.

"Here, maybe?" The boy said, as he let Sky down from his back. He was tired. Exhausted. And he could not walk anymore. He was not wondering if this was where the monsters would be -- he was wondering if this was the place he could rest. Sky had already slept during the journey -- as he mounted himself on his brother's back. But Hawk had no such luxury. He was in pain... but it wasn't such a big deal. One advantage to being two people is that when one was weak -- vulnerable, the other was always there to protect him. Such a thing had occurred many times -- predators in the night, where one was forced to do the fighting on their own. Hopefully, it wouldn't occur again. But if it did, he only hoped Sky, now stronger than ever before, would be ready to defend his brother from the blows.

He slid off of his brother's back and hit the floor hard. At first he was very groggy but a sudden pain shot through his rear when he smacked onto the ground. His eyes widen as he leaped up from his current spot and right back onto his brother's back. He reached around himself and took hold of a thorn which had wedged itself into his butt cheek. "OW!" he briefly shouted before getting off of his brother's back. He could tell how tired he was. "You can get on my back if you'd like," Sky surprisingly offered. He took his bow of off his back and placed it on the ground before taking his quiver off. He then attached his quiver to his right thigh and kept his bow within his hand. Now he'd be able to carry his brother, if he wanted to be carried.

There was a scurrying sound through the underbrush near the boys. But nothing seemed to be near them of what they were looking for.

"I..." Hawk watched with a sense of worry as Sky seemed to lump off of his back, his body jumping at the shock of hearing his brother scream. A thorn? Perhaps they were in the wrong place. But he could not move -- and he would not force this burden upon his brother. "...I, no. I'm okay. I've been watching out for you since we left. And I'm tired. But I don't need you to do all of the work for me. I only ask you do what you need to do -- and that is protect me. You and I both know the true reason why we protect one another... it's not only because we're brothers... it's because we are bound. The death of me would then become the death of you, and then it would all end... I ask you, because of this, to act on instinct... to protect me while I sleep -- while I ready myself, to protect you." There was both a sense of obligation, guilt and sadness in his voice. He could not understand why -- but the emotional hesitation, the fear and the pain had all carried on to him. He felt... weak. Unable. And he wanted to be saved from this. He knew he was relying on Sky for so much... but... he needed a helping hand, and he knew, that within the world, Sky was the only one who would give it to him. Because of this reason -- he constantly questioned if his emotion for his brother was only from sentimentality, from predetermined attachment, or if it was because of who he was as a person.

Sky's head snapped to his left as he looked around the bushes where he heard a sound. It obviously came from some type of creature. "Then hurry and get your sleep," he spoke to Hawk rather quickly. He needed his brother to back him up if anything went wrong and in his current state it was near impossible. Sky reached down and pulled an arrow from his quiver. He quickly readied it and aimed at the brush as he awaited whatever made the sound to come out.

The brush rustled again, seemingly drawn to their voices. Suddenly, the snapping mouth of a man eating venus flew towards Sky.

Sky pointed his bow straight at the open mouth of the venus. He let go of the arrow and let it soar through the plant. "Well that was...unexpected," he said to himself. He was expecting more of a small rodent or something. Luckily he had readied himself before it had attacked.

Akane Saito

Akane was in the trees, trying to hide from the creatures that may attack her. The place was still creeping her out, as if anyone could come from behind. This wasn't the first time she ventured here, though - she came to the Kusana city from Nocturne. This did give her some advantage, but the fear was with her while she was in this jungle. Akane did not forget the reason she was here, though - the queen's apprentice. The traces were seen from time to time, she still believed that she's going the right way. After hours of going through the jungle, she saw the water. It could be a lake or the sea, for all she knew. But it appeared that the boy took a boat and traveled somewhere through here. This made Akane's work way harder, since she couldn't possibly find any traces in the water. Still, she sat in one of the boats that were there and hoped that she will find somewhere to land soon.

Zevran walked through the dark forests of Kusana, the darkness not really having an effect on his sight as he saw beings through life force. He continued onward through the dense camopy of paper like leaves, his jet black combat boots muffled against the dense and mossy greenery of the forest floor. While his walk seemed unurgent and nonchalant, Zev was actually on the lookout for any of the spiders he was to be killing. He had to kill five of them, which seemed to be a pretty easy task. Spiders weren't very harmful right? After all, a ten millimeter round would be enough to stop a wild bull in it's tracks, he figured it should be enough to stop a couple of overgrown forest spiders. And if not, then there were also his shotgun slugs, which could punch a hole in just about any living creature.

Leaves rustling around on the tree tops. Of course Zevran knew who was moving about up there. Three harry spiders, sized as a dog hid with in the leafs. They notice Zevran moving along the forest and see fit that he makes a good pray. The peek between the leafs and spitted rounds of webs at him, almost at every direction to trap the young man.

Sticky Web
Rank: D
Description: They spew out their stickiest silk from their abdomen and shoot it at the target. Though B ranked attacks can easily snap the web C rank attacks will get caught in it and will take a second C rank attack to finally snap it off. The web can suffocate the target if used on the face. They can either leave the web sticking onto them and drag the target around or just plain shoot or after shooting they can stick the other end of the web onto something.

The gunslinger saw the spiders well before they had managed to get the jump on him. After he had heard the eerie and ominous rustling in the treetops, Zevran had looked up and seen the spiders. Right after he looked up, he noticed they all began spitting big globs of web at him, probably trying to trap him. He had to think fast as the silvery balls of arachnic strands fast approached him. Fire would be useful in this instance, but there were two problems with this. The first being that fire would more than likely set this whole jungle into a furious and glorious blaze. This would severely interrupt the flow of life, which Zevran could not allow. However, there was one element that would come in handy here; Earth. Thinking quickly, Zevran summoned a giant sheet of bedrock directly below his feet. The slab propelled him upwards, out of the way of all of the spiderwebs, and he drew his two guns. Standing on top of the slab and maintaining his balance, Zevran began firing off round after round of ammunition out of his chrome plated semi automatic pistols at each of the spiders, firing six shots in all, two shots at each spider.
