Sora ran through the maze, in his mind cycling through the events that lead up to this point, his first ever battle was against a Shinobi that was far beyond his level, although that fight was not nessicary a win for him, it was a pridful occasion as he managed to hold his own in a battle with such strength stacked against him. It was then that he remembered Jin, the seccond genin from his country to come to the exams. Had he made it to the finish yet?! As cocky as he was Sora did not doubt it, but what if he haddent? He thought about the fact that in this entire maze he could very well be the only one here alone, he had to secure some sort of aid if he was to continue onward less he be trumpted by an entire team, as much as he hated to admit it, he needed to find Jin as soon as possible. Sora stopped for a moment, trying to decide if he should go back or press on, eventually landing on his choice. He would head to the end and find out of Jin was there, and if not, time willing, he would head back and try and lead jin to the fininsh, fortunatly he had been tracking his route the entire way, so finding it again should be a peace of cake. Quote: 40 vs 100 = 46% Barrier Notice With a bored grunt, Jin shrugged the seal off. Seals were never his strong point, their complexity had always given him a hard time even back during study. Strategies, battle mechanics, probability, that was all easy. But deciphering strange symbols that could have been designed and modified into anything, by anything had always been a strain on him. It wasn't always something universal and because of that he was almost positive it would be his ultimate flaw in the future. Backing away from the wall, Jin slowly unsheathed his spear and spun it around until the tip was pointing behind him and the blunt edge was held in front of him. If all went well, he would catapult himself over and on top of the wall with almost a perfect ease. Jin took in a shallow breath and readied himself but quickly stopped and frowned yet again. Their was a gecko next to seal which once again brought his attention to the seal. There was just something about it that was troubling. 51 Lines

Yua grinned as she listened to Oasis' story about why she had no shoes, it made a lot of sense since she was from sand village why would she need shoes, Yua grinned. "Mist is very different there is little to no sun light that really get's through the mist surrounding the island, although being surround by water means lots of beaches." Yua said with a grin as they rounded another corner and Yua saw the center she smiled excitedly and ran into it, She then looked through at the boxs, there where only three that where not opened, Yua popped one open and inside was a small Kanji stone, Yua pulled it out and figuring it was important slipped it around her neck and tucked the stone behind her headband, then she turned to look back at Oasis.
[Got my stone, now to start the hiding!] [edit:Also Sai i noticed the barrier a while back]

Oasis grinned "I really like water, maybe some day I will need to visit there." she muses with a big grin as she spun around a few times before Yua noticed the center and ran to the boxes Oasis skipped after her and stood back when Yua turned to look back Oasis flicked her kanji stone out from behind her belt and grinned widely "I already got mine actually." she says with a smile "Sorry bout the little lie back there." she adds with a chuckle as she turned and faced the path she had already mostly figured out "So, good luck with the rest of the exam." She adds with a big cheery smile before whipping around and racing at top speed down the pathway vanishing from sight in mere moments. Oasis reached the path she was on before and took note that it looked like a deadend when she had reached the 'end' of that path, however it was different there was a spot that looked perfect for the kanji stone, she walked up and pushed the stone into the slot and the wall opened "oh woooow." she mused as it opened before noticing the attendant inside she grinned and waved "Hi there." she adds before stepping through the opening before it closed behind her.

Notwen had arrived at the beginning of the maze. Once there, he spotted a boy in a white uniform armed with a spear, which he began twirling masterfully. I wonder what he's up to, Notwen thought as the boy took a step forward. Then he stopped and peered at Notwen. Aw crap, i've been spotted. The gecko-boy stared athe boy in the white uniform, then pointed with his tail back the way he had come. Hopefully, the kid would understand the hint. Quote: Progress for Jin:210 vs 150

Yua smirked at Oasis' comment. "Only if i get to come visit sand right afterwards." Yua said as she looked at Oasis' Kanji stone and smirked, it was really nice of her to help Yua when she didn't even need to get back to the center. "Thank for your help, maybe we can hang out again after all the tests are done." Yua called as Oasis ran off, Yua smiled as she watched the girl go then Yua began to make her way out of the center and she needed to stay hidden, she was lucky to run into someone like Oasis, but she doubted others would be as friendly and with there only being two boxes left she was sure others would try to steal her Kanji stone.

Jin took a few steps closer to the seal and as such, closer to the gecko. Watching the small animal, Jin use the blunt end of his spear to jab at it's head. "Why can't you stupid animals talk. Show me the way out of this damn place." Jin murmured quietly to himself, his arm constantly shaking back and forth as he continued to jab and prod the small animal with his spear. Accidentally he missed the creature and put a little more force then necessary, causing the spear's butt to crack the wall slightly. "I've spent enough time here." Smacking the gecko one last time with his spear and forcing it to fly off from the wall, Jin walked down the path opposite of which the gecko had been pointing. Quote: Progress Check: 40 vs 150= 39%

Notwen watched as the kid walked over and started poking him. It was quickly beginning to get annoying. Why is this guy poking me with a spear? Notwen wondered, trying to cope with his rising anger, and the fact that his transformation was beginning to fail. Then the kid flicked him off the wall and walked off in the wrong direction. That's it!! Before he hit the floor, Notwen's concentration failed and a cloud of smoke enveloped his body. "Oi! You, What's the big idea?! Can't you see i'm trying to help to you?"

"No, but I can see that you are a Night Elf Mohawk, without the Mohawk." Jin said in rebuttal as he spun around to face the dark skinned shinobi with pointy ears. The spear in his hand quickly spun around until the point was in front of him and was aimed low but ready to be used in action. "Now tell me. Why would you want to help me?" Jin asked. Keeping his eyes on the person before him, he edged back and away to allow more space between the two. It didn't make sense for anyone but Sora, and even then, to even think about helping him. The exam had been going on for several hours now, if not longer, and he was still at the beginning of the maze. Not to mention that whoever this person was, was definitely not from his country. Geckos weren't native to Cloud Country but rather found more to the desert. If the shinobi knew where the center of the maze was, why was he still here? Chances were he didn't know and was trying to lead Jin into a trap. Or he did know and was still leading him into a trap. Whatever it was, it smelled like a trap. And that was something he couldn't afford to fall in, then again he wasn't going anywhere on his own anyways. Holding back the feeling to gnash his teeth at the shinobi, Jin looked at the seal once again. Just what was it for... Squinting slightly, Jin pulled back quickly and looked back at the new shinobi. A ******** barrier... Great. Guess the idea of climbing those walls are out.Quote: Seal Check: 40 vs 100= 46% Pass 84 Lines

Sora was getting frustrated, He knew where he was trying to go but it seemed as though getting there was harder than he had imagined. The walls were telling him that they were dead ends, but he knew that there was something that he had missed, something that he had not yet calculated in his plans to get to the center. His bugs told him that if he continued east he would reach the end of the maze, however, based on the markings on the walls, it would seem that no matter which way you went, you would eventually reach a dead end. The only way that could be true was if.. The goal was not at the end but in the middle!! Sora stopped running and slapped his head, of course, that would explain why his bugs continued to reach dead ends and follow back to him without showing him the proper soulution, because there was no soulution, there was no real "exit" nor was there a "gaol" there was simply a check point in which one must reach, this would explain why there were people still in the maze that where not heading towards what Sora thought was the goal. It all made sense and now Sora had to compensate for this knowledge. He was not looking for the end, he was looking for the center, and the best way to do this was to follow the walls, which ever one lead to a dead end, he would send bugs down, if they showed a dead end without any turns along the way, then that way was incorrect, if they showed a dead end with at least two turns along the way, then that way was the way to go. Of course his bugs all told him dead ends, it was entirely possible that they were simply passing over the middle goal and continuing in a straight line unto another tunnel that lead it back into the maze and ultimately into another dead end. He would now have to scout with his bugs, and keep up with them, so that if they did in fact pass the correct position he would be there to see it. This was the flaw in the Abrume clans bug tactics, at the end of the day, the bugs were only as smart as the person controlling them, they had no sense of reasoning to know that the middle was the goal, Sora had instructed them to find an exit, in which there was not, and so they had been giving false information because he had given them an impossible equastion, but now that he knew the truth, he was able to alter the equation and allow his bugs to return a more plausable result.

Sora found himself once again back on track, dispite his set backs he felt like he was doing good this time, although he had already had this exact feeling once before only to find out that his understanding of the maze was flawed, but this time he truly hoped that he was correct, he was getting tired of wandering around in circles trying to find his way, and he was starting to run out of time, every single moment that he was not at the goal was a moment that someone else could get there before him and secure the spot that he so passionately wanted. He couldnt allow himself to fall behind, what would it look like for someone of the abrume clan to fail at tracking and ware abouts while it would normally be something that he would excel at. Sora made a series of lefts and rights, pushing himself closer and closer to the center of the maze where he now assumed was his next point of interest.

"A Night Elf whu?" ask Notwen, trying hard to keep a cool head. This white-uniformed guy took every precaution to make sure he was in control of the situation. His spearblade was held low, but at the ready. "Now tell me. Why would you want to help me?" he asked. Notwen stood up, smiling to himself and looking the uniformed kid in the eye. "Well, as you might already know, there are a crapload of boxes at the center of the maze. I'm pretty sure you might want to pass the section of the exams. So between you and me, the last time i checked, there were four boxes unopened. Now there are three. I could take you there if you want."

Sora remained ever determined, the trails were starting to get longer and longer, this either meant that he was getting closer to his goal, or he had taken a wrong turn and was now going in the wrong direction, he checked the red bug above his head which was now circling rather than pointing in the direction that he had set for it at the start, this meant that even his bugs where confused as there direction leaving him for the moment a wandering captain without a compass. He stopped for a moment and climbed out of the coffen, rubbing his forehead and taking a few steps away from his puppet to get a closer look with his own eyes. He could see the walls, and he was sure that he was close but he could not tell for sure just how far away he was from the start or to the finish, he was at this point so deep into the maze that even going back the way he came would prove a challenge in itself. Sora sighed out loud before returning to the coffen and taking off forward again with the aid of his puppet, he was getting tired and was really hoping that the ending was close.

Sora took a final turned and stopped short, his heart pumping much faster, he had managed to reach the middle of the maze! He ran to the center, where he noticed a set of boxes, ten in total. Seven of which were already opened leaving exactly three left. Sora sighed in releif, this must be what he was searching for the entire time, this meant that he was on time and had a chance!. Sora ran to a box and grabbed it, opening it to find a stone with a kanji on it, attached to a string. Sora quickly dismounted his puppet and brought the stone kanji inside the coffen with him. This way he could keep it safe as well as fool others into thinking that he had not yet captured one of the stones. He then closed the box and placed it back, to keep up his ruse that he had yet to get here. He then stopped and turned around, it was now time to find Jin. Sora instructed the bugs to search out Jin, this task proved far easier considering Jin was at the moment not very hard to find, and also the bugs had already smelt Jins chakra signature before and knew exactly where to go to reach him.Quote: Tracking Jin :intx2(17) + 50 Innate buff vs 0 (he is not in stealth/ not resisting my tracking attempt)
