Suto dared to step closer looking Riyo in the eye, his smile only growing wider. "Oh? You don't love him? Love comes in many different forms, Riyo. How a parent loves a child, how a spouse loves her mate, how a friend loves another friend. They are all different yet the same. So again...what is he to you? If you do not love him, then why do you care what happens to him?" For a moment the slits of his pupils were visible just before the light reflected off his glasses to where his eyes weren't visible at all. "If you don't want a single part of that...I would be happy to dispose of him for you, my Riyo. Or do you want to end him with your own hand?"
-----
The flames were finally out though the tech was obviously weak. He slumped to the floor the pain fading as shock took over. Barely aware that his head was moving, Blade's face finally came into view. "T...the blonde?: His brain was trying to work, really it was, but at the moment he couldn't seem to process. The wheels were turning but the only thing that came into view was the look of his comrade as his face melted away in the flames. Luckily he did not scream, he didn't do much of anything. His eyes only grew wide as he looked at Blade, everything felt numb. "T...the blonde?" He repeated.

With a sigh, Blade shook his head when the tech blubbered out an answer. He wouldn't be getting any information out of him any time soon. Closing his eyes he jerked his hands to the side to try and break the man's neck. No sense in letting him live when he was going to be dying a slow painful death anyway.
With that done, he pushed himself over towards the incinerator to sit up against it. Finally he had some time to try and recuperate where it was warm. As he sat there, he moved aside the tattered portion of his shirt to check on the stab wound. To his surprise it had sealed up somewhat; more so than he would have expected at this point. It confused him, but he didn't question it at the moment.
The thief needed to try and figure out where Riyo was being kept. He could only guess that she was somewhere not too far from where his original room was. His best bet was probably to go and just make his way towards there and check each room along the way, unless he could find someone to get that information out of.
His gaze fell onto the burnt labcoat, wondering if he could somehow use that to his advantage. Soon he'd have to search the bodies to try and see if he could find anything useful.
But for now, he just closed his eyes again, he relaxed as much as he could. He'd need as much strength as he could get if he wanted to find her and break them both out. Blade wasn't sure if he'd survive it all, but maybe he would be able to guide her to freedom and back to the rest of the group.

"H-he's my friend!" Riyo finally pushed out. She stared into his eyes for a short moment before they disappeared behind the reflection of the light. "T-they all are... Those people took me out of the woods when I was naked and, for lack of a better term, beside myself. They gave me clothes and a home, even though we never stayed in one place for very long."
She sighed and fell back on the hospital bed, her head hanging off the end. "Truth be told, I don't know what love is... You seem to know a lot about it though. So... What is it?"

"It's an emotion like anything else," Suto said simply. "Something that drives you. Like my love of knowledge." Okay, so he didn't grasp the love for people so much. How could a man when his love fell on opening them up? Stepping ever closer Suto reached out to place a gentle hand on the back of Riyo's head and draw her face up toward him. "But, I will bargain with you, my Riyo. Stay here by my side and I will ensure the boy's stay here is brief. We are destined for many things, he can no longer give you anything with a meager friendship. Not when I hold the key to what you like. Didn't you enjoy yourself today? Wasn't it...freeing? It's only the beginning."

To say yes was to end this semi-peaceful time in her life and let go of her inhibitions to follow this man into the dark abyss.
To say no would surely sentence Blade to death, she assumed. Riyo had an idea of how these kinds of games were played. They were deals with the devil. One of her family's weaknesses, considering the start of this whole mess of a life.
"D-don't do it Riyo! You can escape and take Blade with you, then go back to your friends so we can be happy again..." The childish voice echoed through her mind.
"Can't have your cake and eat it too. This way, we both win. Take the deal." Hissed a sinister voice from the other side.
"Well, what are you gonna do?" The man mocked. She was sure he could hear them too.
Riyo looked up at Suto, her face appearing troubled. This was what she deserved. Her friends should be out there, and she should be in here. She'd had her fun. Been able to experience the sweet fruits the world had to offer. Perhaps, not as much as she liked... But it was more than she ever expected.
"You'll let him go alive, right? If you make sure he leaves alive and well, I'll do anything you want as long as it doesn't involve them."

Having had some time to rest, Blade pushed himself away from the incinerator and started to search the tech for anything he might be able to use; keys, potential weapons, anything. He didn't have too much of an idea of how he was going to break Riyo out at the moment, but he'll figure it out as he went along. There were a lot of unknown factors so it was probably better he didn't have a set strategy for how to handle this.
However, he did go ahead and remove his jacket and put on the burnt coat for the time being.

Damn those stipulations. Very few ever thought to ensure that their loved one or friend would leave alive or even well for that matter. Oh well, Suto supposed it couldn't be helped, he was at least an honorable man and would keep his promise. It didn't mean that he couldn't experiment on the boy before he let him go. He still had some tests he wanted to run to see how the bonding of DNA had gone. "Of course, he will be alive and well when he leaves." 'Well' could be interpreted rather loosely Suto thought. "I think we have a bargain." Suto held out his hand to shake, a deal with the devil was being made indeed.
----
Several techs were out and about wondering the halls, not yet ready to return to their rooms to conduct research, file, sort, or whatever odd task Suto had them working on. None really ventured close to the morgue though there were a few stationed on that floor. They were few and far between though, only wasting time before they inevitably had to return to work.

Taking the keys off of the body, Blade went ahead and grabbed the glasses as well. He took out the lenses from the frame and put them on. That aside, he went ahead and pulled his hair down; small things but he hoped it would at least make people not recognize him right off the bat from afar.
Once he was ready, he dusted off the labcoat and took in a deep breath. His own jacket was bundled up to be carried under his arm. Now he had to get up.
Using the incinerator door to help him out, he gritted his teeth and pulled himself too his feet. As much as he wanted to stay near the warmth of the fiery machine, he had to get moving. The thief took a moment or so to collect himself before slowly releasing the door so he could start walking. He was shaky for sure, but it seemed he would be fine for now.
Carefully, to not push himself too hard, he walked on out of the morgue and began to retrace his steps. Still injured, he couldn't go as quickly as he'd like, and now and then he had to pause and brace himself against the wall. Hopefully with everything that was going on in this place, the sight of a labtech being injured might not be too uncommon.
Alright... now where is she...

It sounded too good to be true, yet there he had agreed to all the terms. Riyo didn't want to make a liar out of herself, or attempt to add more stipulations. That would probably only succeed in a voided deal and a dead thief.
When he held up her hand to shake it, Riyo sat up and thought to raise her arm to shake it, then realized that was a little difficult right now. The girl looked down at her arms, then back up at him. "Uh. There another way to seal the deal?"

A deal never made was a deal never broken. "Perhaps later, when you feel a little better. In the mean time I will check in on our young lad, maybe move him to a more comfortable arrangement until he is released." Suto patted her shoulder lightly, being sure to avoid possible sore spots. "I will return within the hour. Be sure to rest in that time." Turning lightly on his heels he headed for the door again.
---
Heading back to his dreary job a tech spotted Blade in the hallway. That was strange, he didn't remember seeing him down here before, but maybe he was new? People came and went in this place pretty often. "Hey buddy, are you lost?" As he began to approach the tech took in Blade's look, tousled hair, glasses with no lenses, burnt coat. "Woah, dude. Suto must have you working on something fierce."

Seeing a tech approach, Blade began to put up an act and squinted as if he was having some trouble seeing who it was (as the glasses had no lenses and all). Then, 'realizing' it was another tech, he smiled weakly and glanced around.
"K-kinda..." he said in a timid manner before looking down at his labcoat, "I had to help deal with one of the patients... he attacked and tried setting me on fire... Good thing I managed to get the coat off in time but now it's pretty wrecked.."
With a wince, he rubbed his chest some, "S-still he managed to get a pretty good hit on me... it's a good thing there was another person with me or else I could be dead now."
Blinking, he put on a look of confusion and looked as if he was trying to remember what he was supposed to do now, "Um... I think I'm supposed to help treat that new blonde cat demon girl person now.. I... can't quite remember where she was.."
With a frown, he shifted and looked fairly worried.
"She's kinda scary if I heard right.. I really hope she won't put up a fuss.. "

She didn't really want to have more time to think about this, but it looked like she didn't have a choice. "... Okay." Riyo said reluctantly, not having a particular desire to be alone again.
She glanced down at the bed before she readjusted herself and laid down, attempting to curl up as best as she could.

"Woah, sounds intense. You never know what you'll end up doing around here. One day you could be filing paper work, the next you're trying to give sedatives to who knows what." Thinking the lab tech tried to place where the girl might be.
"Yeah, I've heard the stories already. I didn't get to see anything for myself but I heard she's rather....merciless. You might take a taser with you if you don't have one." Tapping his chin the man tried to think. "I'm not entirely sure where she's at. I know at least she's a floor up, probably not far from the main lab. If Suto is still going through a testing phase he'll want to keep her close."
----
"Until later, my dear." Suto said in a goodbye as he closed the door behind himself. Well, perhaps he could still settle things. He would give it a while and check in on her. In the mean time he would return to his lab and check in with the techs that were supposed to take Blade to the morgue. With light strides he made his way back to the main lab and submerged himself in paperwork.

"M-merciless?" he repeated with wide eyes. Blade then closed his eyes for a moment, as if trying to recall where things were, "A-and thanks. I'll be on my way then. Um... good luck with your w-work."
With a nervous grin, he nodded and went off towards the stairs. His little facade seemed to work, but hopefully he wouldn't be running into more people. The thief just went on, nursing his wound now and then and staying close to the wall to make sure he had something to catch himself with should he stumble.
He wasn't too sure where the main lab was, but he at least narrowed down the possible locations. Gritting his teeth, he shuddered from the chilly air inside this wretched building.

Suto busied himself with paperwork for quite a while before be decided to call upon the techs. Pressing the intercom button he spoke clearly and with purpose. "Send the two techs to the main lab that escorted the young man from the arena down to the morgue." After that was done he continued to read over his reports until they arrived. Once he was a few pages in he realized no one had come. About to press the intercom again there was a knock on the door.
"Ah, finally. Come in." But the person who entered was not who he expected.
"Sir, the two techs....are still in the morgue. They are both dead, Sir."
Surprising the tech, Suto didn't look upset. He merely looked thoughtful. "Hmm....so the boy has escaped?" Standing from his seat and Suto moved toward the tech and motioned to the door. "Come, explain to me what you know as we go to the morgue." Opening the door to the lab Suto stepped out into the hall with the tech close at his side. Side by side they followed the series of hallways down toward the morgue.
