"Oh." Jaxx swallowed hard. Where were is cheesy pick up lines that made girls blush and giggle? Where was the smoldering look that made just about every female he'd used it on fall for him?
"You have pretty hair," he blurted out.
Oh Styx. Did he really just say that? He sounded like one of those nerdy guys who couldn't talk to a girl with out making a huge fool of himself.
"I... I mean," he stuttered.
But what could he say to make that better. Gosh he was such an idot sometimes.

Jaxx groaned to himself when Rayne didn't reply. Yup, she thought he was an idot. He banged the back of his head against his head board.
"Stupid, stupid, stupid," he muttered.

"Yes... I think," Jaxx sighed. "Sorry about the... uh... hair comment. What I meant to say was 'Aphrodite herself couldn't be more beautiful than you' but it came out wrong." He grinned.
Maybe that line would make up for his earlier akwardness.

Ilrochè appeared in the infirmary via shadow travel. Alexis's unconscious form was cradled in his arms. He placed her on the bed farthest from the other patients, who were chattering amongst themselves. Satyrs and nymphs immediately began doing some sort of treatment. What it was he couldn't tell. He sat on the bed next to hers waiting for them to finish. He looked at Alexis's face. He noticed the color returning, causing him to sigh in relief. She was going to be okay.
Ilrochè considered leaving, but just as he got up to leave the satyrs and nymphs left their places by Alexis's bedside. He had a random idea, but he wanted to give it a go, despite the fact it wasn't normal for him to do something like this. He leaned over her form and gave her a light kiss on the forehead. He flushed with embarassment and turned on his heel to leave the infirmary.
((Wake up and stop him, or something along those lines ;0 ))

Alexis's eyes opened when Ilrochè's lips brushed her forehead. She saw him turning to leave and immediately felt distraught. Without thinking, Alexis grabbed the sleeve of his shirt and tugged gently. She wouldn't meet his eyes. "Don't go," she whispered, her voice almost inaudible.

Jaxx gave a sigh of relief when he saw Ryne's smile. He decided to strike up a real conversation.
"So Rayne" he asked, "who's your godly parent?"

Ilrochè felt a slight tug at the hem of his sleeve. Could she be awake already? He flushed a bit deeper and turned to face her bed. He couldn't meet her eyes after his small violation of space. "Why?" he asked earnestly.
