Hello, my name is Gary, and Iw as invited by Amitzah, who I have proclaimed as my first Gaian Jew-Friend biggrin *I <3 you Amitzah*
I don't really do too much on gaia these days, though I;ve been around for a while. I mainly post in my guild, but have been known to lurk the Q&A as well as the GD depending on how desperate I get for entrtainment.
As a child I lived with my grandparents, where were VERY jewish, and belonged to a Hasidic (sp) congregation. and for the first part of my life I lived by the restrictions and rules of the teachings. My mother however does not choose to Identify with her Jewish roots and when she moved from my grandparetns house, I lost all Ties with my heritage.
so I guess technically that makes me a non-practicing jew...correct?
I'm not sure how incredibly helpful I'll be in conversations as I don't remember my teachings very well *if at all* but I will try biggrin

Do we have any other members who have ever been Hasidic? Anyone know? I don't really have time to find out since I'm going to be at sleepaway camp in a little over six hours. But whatever. Trust me, you've probably forgotten more than many people ever learned, and it all comes back to you. I left my JDS upbringing for public school a few years back, but when I went to Israel for a vacation I remembered all the Hebrew. I doubt that this would be any different.

Kiashana Tsuto Why I joined? I got sick of all the J3BU5 GU1LD5 spread about Gaia, and wanted to start a Jew guild, only to find one already here. Woot. And I totally found the guild that way too. Or I might have clicked on someone's 'Yehudi' button. ninja *WINZZZZZ* Welcome to everybody. I swear, we have fun here. ;-;

SodapopZ I'm not Jewish but I hope to convert (to Reform, ahahaha) someday. Though I often get confused for being sephardic... of course, I also get confused for looking arabic or pakistani... Is there anything wrong with being mistaken for being sephardic? rolleyes

(I sound like a TV ad) Chatting for the sake of chatting is for the most part kept to the current threads such as the JPYP or the Jew Above Me. We try not to go off topic in our other threads. ninja

I just thought I would've heard of your camp because we've been planning the thing for next year and your camp is on the list of camps we might visit. I can't do gymnastics. I tried. I have trouble with being upsidedown. So I switched back to dance.

I am still in Yeshiva and will be until my year after highschool when I plan on going to an American college, only after being in Israel for a year. I just graduated out of elementry school, S.A.R (Also known as Salanter Akiba Riverdale Academy) and I will now be attending Westchester Hebrew Highschool for the next for years, bezrat Hashem. Oh yeah, I didn't read the rest of the form before. Silly me. Occupation: I will be in ninth grade next week Hobbies/Interests: My computer, reading, writing, ice-skating, playing piano, going shopping... Favorites: Let's see... My favorite book is Court Duel by Sherwood Smith, I adore the tv show Young Blades. My favorite type of food is chinese, preferably from Eden Wok in Westchester.
