Oh, ouch. That does sound pretty lame. Though I think I'd rather do that than what I was forced to do as a child (when it was my dad's choice. My mom just liked physical punishment lol)
I used to have to hold a quarter to the wall with my nose only for an hour, and if it fell or I talked, I'd have to start all over again... -.-
Oh, and pleasure to meet you Captain Liani. I'm not in your squad, of course, but I figured I should introduce myself incase I decide to pop in and see Zaine or anyone in the future lol. I'm Lerato (IC) and Kyro (OoC).

I used to get punished by having to squat over a spiky mat for an hour - if I fell, my butt would end up seriously sore.

~Brainstorm Challenge: Liani's Bankai~
Bearing in mind my Zanpaktou is based on manipulating the particles in air, and its shikai has the ability to create "crystals" of air, ideas?
Liani is thinking:
- Some awesome power that makes me turn into air... with drastic side-effects so I can't use it more than once or twice without risking my life.
I was thinking - if all the reishi that made up my body separated for a split second, I could dodge any attacks coming towards me; HOWEVER, the problem comes when I have to form myself back up again. The longer I stay in that state, the more likely reishi will escape from my body, leaving me with gashes where skin used to be, etc...
- By making a dome of crystals, taking all the oxygen out of the air within the dome, thereby suffocating the enemy twisted

@ Zaine: Cool - I've never RPed with Mirou actually... Except in his plot, which was just me oogling his uber-godmod arrancar character xD
It's not really wind, it's air in general... more like manipulation of particles in air. The Shikai freezes the air into a solid form, which looks like crystals and hence the name: Harikaze - "Crystal Wind". Actually, it doesn't really have anything to do with wind at all, except that the crystals are moved by wind.
Pad, Hinata can make that anyway with her Shikai. All she has to do is make the crystals into a cannon shape, right? ^^

Well as far as Bankai's go they are supposed to be A) Huge. B) Nigh on undefeatable(exaggeration) C) A super-souped up Shikai and D) Flipping awesome
The dome thing seems more like a technique you would use instead of your Bankai itself.
I have always been a fan of the Bankai bringing in something really big, don't get me wrong Bankais of powerful swords and whatnots like Ichigo's are cool, but stuff like Komumura's, Mayuri's, and Kuchiki's flower petals.

your Bankai is based on the crystals right? well its half conceived right now so I'll see if I can explain it.
When you release your crystals form everywhere and form a superstructure that basically becomes the field you battle on, it isolates u from other opponets, and you can basically control the enviroment completely inside since it's all made of your crystals.
Did that make sense? Idk I kinda rambled again lol

Let's start with the Bankai creation process.
Elements, Themes and Ideas: (The central thoughts to the Bankai. What is it based on and what sorts of powers could it use?)
The Emotion: (What emotion would it invoke? Some Bankais are graceful and serene (Byakuya's) wheras others are terrifying (Mayuri's). Some mix two emotions in together)
Once you've got those down you can start to think about powers and such. It's useless starting from 'I've got a load of great ideas' if you've got nothing to put them into.
So start with the foundations.

Elements, Themes and Ideas: I was thinking, since you control particles in the air while in shikai, perhaps you could use that same power in bankai, but to a degree where you can quite literally change the atmosphere surrounding your opponent. Like your dome idea, you'd be able to suffucate them by complete lack of oxygen, you could surround them with laughing gas (nitric oxycide) or you could increase the barimetric preasure to a point where it's a** if they're trying to move and breathe with countless oceans on top of them. You could seperate the elements that make up air (look up atmospere of earth on wiki for a list) to set up an attack from someone else. By this I mean you could form a ball of pure ozone (O3) which is extremely combustable and have someone else light it lol. Anyway, that's just my take.

The emotion to go with my superstructure crystal enviroment thing tht you control would be I have no idea, I jst think it's be big, cool, flashy, and it kept with your shikai, everything a Bankai should be.

Thanks, guys! I will draft it at the weekend if I remember.
I have loads to do this weekend. I have a school Open Day on Saturday (meaning I have to do Science demonstrations, show people around, take part in a concert, do speeches...) Plus my piano teacher just invited me to a concert at her house (-?!) which I am utterly unprepared for since I only knew about it this lunchtime...

You'd think it'd be easy after your exams were finished but I'm expected to help around the house.
