Cat shook his hand once, firmly, then let go, still smiling a little. This was strange. Normally, upon hearing that someone fancied her, she'd be the first to start teasing that someone about it in... various ways. Something about this situation, though, made her reluctant to try it. Michael needed a friend; she didn't want to complicate that. "Good," she said, sounding as though she meant it.

Michael drew his hand back, still smiling. He kind of wanted to just sit here and talk for a bit, but he really didn't know what to say. He wasn't really that good with small talk. He didn't really want her to be the only one starting conversations either. He glanced down briefly at the plate in front of himself, then looked back up at Cat...erm, Felicia. "Um...the dishes kind of take care of themselves, if you want to...do something else. I'm not sure where Edel's at right now, but it should be safe if you want to look around or anything. And there are plenty of rooms upstairs if you need to rest from...everything. This whole place is on the outskirts of New York too if you want to leave or anything."
Ugh, hopefully that didn't sound like he was wanting to get up and do other things. He just...not good with starting actual conversations.

Once the two reached one of the large private bathrooms of the house, Edel led the goddess inside and began pulling out what she would need. ”The closet should have whatever kind of clothing you would like when you open it, and the same with the soaps when you pull back the curtain to get in. Simply turn on the faucet and the water should adjust to your preferred temperature on it’s own. If you’d like music to listen to while you’re here, all you need to do is think of it and the room will start playing whatever you’d like. Most everything in my house does most of the work for you. Towels will be out and waiting for you when you’re done.” Edel said as she took one of her small boxes over to the large bath. She opened the box, and began pulling out the small stones that were nestled in velvet inside. Carefully, she placed each one on it’s own little shelf around the walls of the bath. Stones sometimes had a habit of having their own healing powers on the body and mind. Ones with a little extra enchantment could do wonders. Add that with a little aroma therapy, a relaxing shower, and some comforting music, and the goddess should at least feel some weight lifted from her by the time she was done.

Once she was finished, Edel turned to address Alcina once more. She found her standing in front of the large round mirror, staring at her reflection as her fingers slid across the edges of her crown. Edel paused for a moment before speaking again. ”You can simply put your jewelry and clothing here in the corner. I can have them fixed up and cleaned for you later.” she said, motioning towards the corner.

”Oh.” Alcina replied distractedly. ”I…actually I was wondering if you’d like anything in return for your hospitality.”

The door creaked open on it’s own, and Edel quickly shot it a look while the goddess was distracted. ”Normally I would expect something in return for my services. But as I said before, you are one of my guests. I don’t expect anything in return for this. If you still feel as though you want to give me something in return, I won’t refuse it. But that can be thought of later. Right now, you only need to worry about yourself.” Edel replied, walking over to her and placing a hand on her shoulder. ”Take as long as you need. Try to relax. I’ll have tea and dinner ready for you when you are done.”

With that, Edel excused herself from the room, and gently closed the door behind her. As she turned to walk back down the hall, she gave another look towards the wall. There was nothing visibly there, but someone did actually speak this time.

”She wants to get rid of them…” a man’s voice said, no louder than a whisper.

”What did I say about going back to your room? If you use up any more of your energy, you won’t have a physical form for months again. And if you keep following her around, she’ll figure it out. She can sense what little of you there is. I know how your feeling, I know what her headpieces really are, and I know how much it hurts. But you need to go back to your room and stay there for a while. Let me take care of her.” Edel whispered back, then continued down the hall.

After a few moments, Edel entered the kitchen area. She looked up at both Michael and Felicia, gave them a smile and a nod, and moved straight towards a large china cabinet at the corner of the room. ”I hope you’re making yourselves at home. I apologize for not being a better host, but I have more guests right now then I believe I’ve had in years. Two of which need to be taken care of.” she said as she opened the oak and glass door. She pulled out a few large round silver trays, and a few covers nearly the same as Michael and Cat had used for their food. She stacked them into a large pile for easier transport, then gently closed the door. ”If you do need anything, don’t hesitate to let me know. If I’m indisposed, then a servant should…well…just appear.” she continued, looking back at them. ”And if you want to leave, please don’t feel as though you need to stay. I have plenty of transportation if you need it. If not, feel free to stay as long as you want.”
With that, she disappeared out of the room and down the hall.

Edel entered another large dining room that was about three halls down from the kitchen Michael and his guest were in. Victorian era wallpaper, French tables and furniture dating back to when France still had Kings and Queens, a large crystal chandelier centering the room, Ming vases, white silk curtains draping over the archway….not too terribly different from the antique flare of the rest of her home, but clearly a room that was off limits for anyone other than special guests to enter.
With a slight wave of her free hand, a white silk table cover materialized overtop of the table. As it drifted into place on the table, a few flowered vases and candles drifted into being onto the table to make it a little more presentable. Carefully, she placed one plate and dish cover on one side of the table, then placed another on the other side. Holding the last dish carefully in her hand, she looked around the room. Alright, the food should make itself once she touched the handle of the dish. Literally. The room was clean, bright, and elegant. It should make most people feel rather special having dinner inside. But the goddess wasn’t most people…and this wasn’t quite enough. At least not as far as making her feel better. One box she had in her pocket was for the tea, and the other wouldn’t be used until the woman was ready to get a good day’s rest. Perhaps she should bring some gems into the room, as well as some subtle aroma therapy. Not enough to clash with the smell of the food and tea, but just enough for her to be aware of it. Those could be placed at the corners of the room. And the gems? Suppose she could place them around the flower vases and candles, as though they were simply decorations as well. They’d have to be something that went with the room then, rather than the mix. Perhaps picking ones that were white, amber, or violet to go with the flowers.
Satisfied that most of the preparations for dinner was done, she turned and exited the room. Walking down the hall to travel deeper into ever-changing home. Provided her other guest was in bed where he should be, she’d simply need to take this dish to his room so he could try and gather some of his energy back.

Meanwhle, in one of the rooms on the upper level, two more serving trays sat on a glass table. These two, however, had already been opened, and the food inside already eaten. Edel sat in one large white chair, while Richard Blackstone sat in another across from her. Neither were…very pleased. But they weren’t exactly in a terrible mood, considering where the conversation could have gone. What they’d gotten themselves into since the new world came to be…what they planned to do now…Sapphire Spider…Vandal Savage…It was safe to say they were both feeling pangs of jealousy at this point, even after everything had been cleared up after Edels jumping to conclusions.
Now, both were simply sitting there. There conversation concluded and replaced with an earsplitting silence.

Richard, never being one for sitting in such uncomfortable silence unless he was purposefully holding his tongue, made the move to try and get a conversation going again. Or, at least talk about what he’d originally come to talk about.

”Well.” Richard began. ”I know that neither of us are in much of a mood for pleasantries. But, there is a supposedly high-class affair that will be taking place in Gotham not too long from now. Many of the wealthy and upper class are expected to be there. Many from various cities. It’s supposed to be a promotional thing of sorts, for both the establishment hosting it, and whoever is a businessmen there.”

”You’re referring to that Iceberg Lounge…” Edel said quietly, still staring quietly at the table in front of her. ”…and you’re wanting me to go with you. As someone else who knows you and can verify your existence as who you’ll be claiming to be.”

Richard grinned a bit. ”Do you still read minds, or does it just sort of come to you naturally now?” he asked.

”Both.” she replied. ”And I’m really not sure about going. As of right now, I’d tell you no. But…who knows what my plate will look like by then.”

”At least keep an open thought about it.” Richard said. ”I don’t want you to just come as someone who can be my witness. I want it to be…a bit of a date. We haven’t had one in so long, and despite what I feel for Misty, I still love you. I want to spend time with you.”

”It just didn’t work between us…” Edel mumbled. ”All those years trying…and it just didn’t work out.”

”It might this time. This isn’t our world…its possible the curse will have no power here.”

Edel was quiet for a moment. Thinking. ”That’s…possible. We could at least pretend to try again. Before we both do something to push each other away again…” she said, then blinked and stood up. ”Which reminds me, stay up here for a while. I’ll try to put you a ride together. Right now I need to go take care of one of my other guests before she roams and gets lost inside my home.”

”Do you want me to stay here so I won’t be a distraction? Or because there’s someone downstairs that would find me unfavorable?” Richard asked with a small smirk.

”Both.” she replied honestly, heading for the door. ”Please, just stay up here.”

”Alright.” he replied. ”I’ll keep myself confined to this floor.

It was at about that time, Alcina emerged from the large bathroom. Her burned and tattered outfit had been replaced with a simple white dress that covered more than anything she’d worn the entire time she’d been on earth. Her thick black hair was pulled back into a loose bun at the back of her head, and the two jeweled crowns she usually wore in her hair dangled from one of her hands. Her deep blue eyes peered around the hallway, then the proclaimed goddess carefully made her way down the hall. Towards where she believed others were. She still didn’t feel like waiting in one room by herself, but she did feel much better than she had prior to the shower. She wasn’t quite sure what the woman had used, but she was sure a simple shower wouldn’t make her feel so rejuvenated as she did right now.

As she came to the end of the hall, she paused next to a room that she sensed someone was in. Well…more than just one person actually. But their life auras were very dim compared to the one. It was actually rather strange. She usually didn’t sense auras like this unless it was from possessed objects.
With curiosity eating away at her, Alcina carefully pushed the door open just to see who or what was inside.

She found a woman, more specifically the hostess’s daughter Natalia, sitting in front of a large doll house, surrounded by dolls. The room was…odd given the apparent age of the woman. One wall seemed to be nothing but large doll houses for someone to play with, the drapes were lacy and white, the walls were bright yellow and pink, a small bed sat in the corner, and the rest of the walls were lined with shelves that were filled with dolls. It seemed as though it was a child’s playroom.
The young woman turned, looking over at Alcina with the dark eye that was not curtained with hair. In one hand, she held a Black Canary doll. The same on she had brought with her to the Laboratory and used to ward off some of the Blood guards. In her other hand, was a Green Lantern doll…a dark skinned man. Lying across from her was another Lantern, this one with a small green mask and dark hair. Also on the floor was a Green Arrow doll…Cat Woman, She-Hulk, Punisher, Dare Devil, quite a few others.

ENTER Ghost Rider from New York City
ENTER Hades from Hell

Edel rounded the corner of the hall, and spotted the Goddess down on the other end. Standing in front of her daughters room. With a frown, Edel took a few hastened steps towards the woman, then stopped abruptly. A low, loud hum rumbled in her ears. A motorcycle…had to be. No one in her little town had a motorcycle to ride, witch meant she had yet another visitor. Edel glanced over at Alcina, who had not moved from the doorway, and did not seem to hear the motorcycle.

Witch meant that it was a visitor for Edel, if she was the only on that could hear it.
As if to confirm this, her doorbell rang only a moment or two after the engine had shut off.

With s sigh, Edel turned to glance back down the hall, and nearly jumped out of her skin. A man with dark, well combed hair and a signature black leather jacket stood in front of her, blocking the doorway.

”Good afternoon, Edelweisse. Hope your day’s been better than mine.” Hades said with a small grin.

”I’ve seen quieter.” she replied. ”This world’s sorcerer gets kidnapped and all of a sudden everyone starts coming to me.”

”Well…I imagine you would be the next best thing. I believe one of the Fates said something about you being our universes equivalent.”

”They do know I don’t DO half the life threatening work that he does, right?”

Hades shrugged. ”No, but I am getting the impression that you may need to rather soon.”

”Oh, you came all the way here on your hot rod just to tell me that?”

The doorbell rang again.

Both Edel and Hades turned to glance down the hallway. ”No…” Hades replied. ”Actually…I believe you have a….spirit of some sort at your door. I’m getting…a spirit of vengeance or something of that sort.”

Edel let out a long sigh. ”Right…” Closing her eyes, she mumbled something quietly under her breath. Two bright blue orbs floated out of her and headed off in opposite directions down the hall. One towards Alcina, and the other towards the entrance of her home. Easiest way to be in three places at one time right now. ’Well then…what did you come here for, Demitri Kronos?”

”Actually…his is a Hades problem.” he answered, then rubbed the back of his neck uneasily. ”I…kind of need you to move my home and everything in it. Something about Dreaded ones turning my spirits into slaves.”

Edel just stared at him with a blank expression. ”….Excuse me?”

"I think you'll get more information if you look at your little crystal ball. I just need you to move everything and everyone, pronto." Hades replied with a shrug.

Edel stared at him for a long moment, then pushed past him and started down the hall at an urgent pace. "Follow me." she ordered. She HAD been away from any form of watching the rest of the world...so she could be missing something bit. After all...Hades didn't come to anyone unless he REALLY needed something.

Outside the large old fashioned building, Danny stood with his arms crossed staring at the door. Felicia was in here...he knew she was. He'd lost her clear back in New York, and it took a good bit for him to track her back to this place. After the whole thing with Azazel, he was afraid she was going to be...someplace else. Well, he wasn't loosing her again. Not this time.

This place though...there was something...just not right about it.

Hades sighed and tapped his finger against a stone chair he was sitting in, the origin he couldn’t quite place, next to a brown Pyrgos chalice…early Minoan if he remembered correctly. Not exactly the type of finery the witch was known to show as hospitality…but she had warned him that she kept very little fine possessions in her “basement.”

Edel’s basement, as she called it, was actually under her socially accepted basement. This one was about two levels underground, perhaps more given how long it took to descend the stairs, and how the very air felt around them once they entered the stone doorway.
It was all stone, a vast, wide open space, and several tunnel vaults secured in early Roman arches which he could only guess led to other rooms or storage areas. They had stopped in the main room, the vast open area, and Edel had magically sealed the doorway. A single stone slab lay in the center of the room, which looked more like a sacrificial table given the ambience of the room, and several seats lay against the wall. Everything was either stone or wood. Something about everything needed to be organic for certain spells or they would be destroyed.

Whatever the case, Hades now sat in one of the stone seats against the right wall, and Edel stood in front of the stone slab. Which now had been lit with a rather impressive golden glow that made the entire slab seem made of gold. And the room, well…it no longer had the grim, dungeon ambience it had when they entered.

Everything was covered in a blue haze, and the room had become very dark. Above the slab, was a large, glowing, cerulean colored orb that looked very much like the earth. There was quite a number of bright golden spots on the Earth; markers for “important” or “interesting” things, as she had explained it. Floating about the rest of the room, were other glowing blue orbs; presumably other planets. Some outlined in gold as a marker. And other floating…well they looked like black holes. A few of witch had a single gold dot in the center of it…while a few others were practically glowing in gold.

Edel stood in front of “Earth”, her face illuminated with the blue glow, and a very hard look in her dark eyes. She had been staring at the “black holes” that were glowing gold for quite some time before she turned her head over to the Earth again. She was silent the entire time, and didn’t answer Hades anytime he inquired what she was really looking at, or how long this was going to take.

[ENTER from NEW YORK CITY]

In a flash of mystical light, Sandra Roberts, her son Lucas Ellison, and Lucas' partner and companion Alex Skyler teleported outside of the shop Edel Condulmer called home.

"I sense a great many enchantments on this place," Sandra said. "It would be very difficult for me to get into the building itself if I attempted to bypass these defenses. So... We'll just do the socially polite thing, and..."

She knocked on the door, using the "Shave and a haircut; two bits" rhythm.

There was a bit of a pause, then very slowly the door opened. Standing on the other side, was a middle-aged woman in a rather Early American inspired dress. Plain colored, and very concealing. Her gray eyes darted between each guest before resting on the mother. "Yes, may I help you?" she asked, her voice aged sounding.

Sandra inclined her head respectfully. "Hello, ma'am. We're here to see the owner of this building, because we need help in finding some people and feel that she may be able to assist us," she said politely. "May we come in?"

The woman paused a moment, then smiled and nodded politley. "Of course. Come in." she said as she stepped to the side, allowing them entrance. "I'm afraid the lady of the house is being host to a few other guests, but you may wait here in the shop portion of the house until she is able to tend to you." she replied.

"Thank you," Sandra said, and she stepped inside with the others.

"Whoa, this place looks pretty cool..." Lucas said, looking around with much interest.

Alex quietly and carefully followed in behind Sandra and Lucas.

The woman smiled and looked over at them as she shut the door. "The lady loves to collect old treasures and items of great use. This part of the house is where she sells what goods she owns. In another room over there she preforms readings for those who need." she said, walking over towards a large dark oak door to the far end of the room. "And the rest is the actual house. I shall inform one of the other attendants to come tend to you until the Misses can see you."

The woman nodded and politely excused herself through the door. Waiting on the other side of the door was a man in a black leather jacket. He seemed to be waiting patiently enough, but there was something anxious behind his eyes. Not that surprising. The man was after all anxious to find Black Cat and make sure she was safe. The spirit of vengeance residing within the man was probably just a tad anxious with all of the magic practically permeating the very air around him.
He turned and said something quietly to the woman, who nodded her head and motioned him down the hall. Another attendant turned and walked into the shop from the hall. The man was dressed in early century garb as well. He closed the door, then pulled out an antique chair that was against the wall and sat down. Waiting to help the new guests with anything they needed.
