This 5th Generation is certainly new. My feelings about them are mixed, some are awesome looking, some are just plain weird. And the Legends don't really look that legendary (Aside from Reshiram and Zekrom). A couple look like cousins of Arceus. I like the look of the Ghosts, myself, and the new electric types (Such as Shimama and its Evolution) look to have great potential. Choroneko and its evolution look awesome, and are all the more so because they are Dark types. Ononokusu looks really cool, and while Gamefreak's evidence points that it will hit the Uber Tier, I really hope it doesn't. It'll mean that the Pokemon people just like making their Dragons overpowered.
The new Dark/Fighting type pokemon....Just...weird. Not what I hoped a Dark/Fighting type would look like.
I'm a little peeved myself that Pokabu becomes yet another Fire/Fighting type. Seriously, where'd the Starter originality go? At least the Grass starter looks awesome.
Looks like Kyrenx's Birthday came early: A Pure Flying type. Should mix things up a bit, seeing as Fighting types probably won't make much of a dent in it.

Serebii finally has a copy of the game and is posting info as we speak.
Currently on the homepage they have a pic showing a shiny Mewtwo with its new sprite. I'm glad it went back to badass after HG/SS made it look like an anorexic. Rotom now changes types with its forms in correspondence to their special moves.

In my opinion I think they need to re-work on some of the 5th Generation Pokemon. They don't have that Pokemon feeling (only some) and looks like some aren't really based on some animals , myth, or objects. Makes me wonder if this is going to be the last generation since it feels like some of the veterans may be disappointed but may be used for the newer players.
Going to say one last thing but the 5th Gen. remind me of Keitai Denjū Telefang (Telefang for short) since they have some weird creatures that could be related or used.

Tajiri plans to end the series with 1500 monsters. We're still a long way off my friend.

Also Zet heard something about lighting rod changing a bit like sturdy did. Now lighting rod also boost the pokemon's special attack when hit with an electric attack? Anyone else hear this?
Also the Rotom forms do not keep the ghost type instead the electric type is kept. Which in a way makes more sense but Zet would of liked it to keep the ghost type more.
Edit: also has anyone seen Meloia and Hihidaruma's new forms? Meloia becomes a crazy fast fighting type and Zet would love to see it. Or better question does anyone know how to get these different forms. Zet heard that Hihidaruma's new form is from rare ability (dream world maybe) that activates when hp is at 50% or lower.

I'm a bit disappointed with the ice type turnout for this generation DX I love the polar bears, but the snowcone thing isn't too good. It's starting to warm up on me a bit but I still don't like it much. Then I have no clue at all what that levitating ice type is. Maybe an ice cube? Then I was so excited to see the ice dragon legendary, until it crushed my hopes and dreams of it being cool. It doesn't even look ice, it looks more steel.
Kyrenx is getting a lot of cool flying types though.

Rotom loses the Ghost typing? This sucks, I was hoping maybe in this generation I could use the forms in Wi-fi. I'd heard about the type changing, but I assumed it would be the Electric part. Guess Rotom-A will no longer be premier spinblocker anymore. Which pretty much leaves it to Dusknoir, Desukan, or Spiritomb. The 1500 'mons thing I heard about in a thread somewhere. I can't remember which guild or who the poster was, but I don't doubt it.
