Her eyes grew wide at the mention of being given something shiny. Happily walking behind her, she practically glowed as she followed into the the room, wondering what she would be given. It wasn't like she was obsessed with shiny things. She just liked collecting them.

When Kira and Gin started off in a different direction, Isel went to explore the engine area. He walked up to a series of pipes sticking out of the wall. Not knowing what they were for, he grabbed a small wheel on one and turned it. A blast of steam instantly shot from a vent near his feet. Isel gave a shout that sounded like a bark of surprise and kicked the vent, hard, hard enough to leave a dent in the grating. The steam stopped...not because of his kick, but because there was no more steam to come out. Isel's ears flattened to his face and he growled at the vent for a moment, as if daring it to blast him again.

The next door down was different, larger and with a small hole in the centre, the sign above read, medical/storage facilities, "right don't touch anything in here, some of it might hurt you, okay?" She pushed the cube in with one finger until she heard a nice satisfying click, "now my locker was... four to the right." The door moved easily along some rollers revealing a large room with several partitions, the lockers were next to the door, she found hers and opened it quickly, "Hold out your hand."

She followed Gin closely and did as she was told, avoiding anything that even looked like it could hurt her. She didn't want to get scolded by Gin for being bad after all. When Gin got something and told her to hold out her hand she found it a little hard since her arms were full of stuff. Not wanting to put it all down, she said. "Could you put it on top of the pile? I'll be able to see it perfectly then."

Isel continued to explore the engine room, until he came across a locker, marked with a word he couldn't understand. He opened it, revealing a myriad of tools. He grabbed a large pipe wrench and examined the tool. He decided to keep it...he could probably use it some other time.

"Ohh, yeah, silly me," Gin got down oh her knee's so she was on eye level, "but this isn't something for you to hold," she held up a small thing that looked like a badge. It was in the shape of a water lily with a sword through it, a bright glistening yet simple metal finish to it. She pointed to her own, on her lapel. which had two swords and was a deep green. "This says that I fly the ship, and am good at it, this one..." she placed it on Kira's lapel where it stuck without any kind of pin, ".. is a thank you for finding the key, that was mine before I got my promotion."

She beamed proudly and giggled once she was given the badge. She would definitely wear it proudly. As she was admiring how pretty it was, she realized something. "If that one means that you can fly the ship, then what does this mean? Am I important now?" She didn't know what the badge meant but she did want to know. Maybe if they ever found a way to leave they could take her with. She really wanted to go to the stars with them.

"It means," Gin stood back up and flashed a broad smile as she turned back to the locker, "that you have a reason to be proud, you helped me a lot, even if it was an accident." She turned back with a small satchel bag, "what'll your parents think when you return with all of those things? and a good story too."

"Ah..." Kira's eyes lowered and her ears sank a bit at the mention of her parents. It was pretty obvious that it was a tough subject for her but even so, she tried to keep herself together, at least so she could explain. "I'm a stray..I don't have any parents anymore." She used the term stray, which meant that she had no one taking care of her. No home, no guardians, nothing but her few possessions. She would treasure the badge she was given, but she couldn't be happy for now as she recalled the times of her parents sickness.

"Hmm, Kira do you-" Gin saw the girl's saddened face and was about to ask but Kira beat her to it, "a stray? no par- Ohh..." she suddenly felt very guilty, understandably so. Although how was she to know, "tell me you at least have a place to stay?" she asked, "if not you could stay on the ship for a while at least, as long as you stay near me..." The captain probably wouldn't approve though, but it's not like anything was working for Kira to break.

Amy stood contemplating their accident. Gin was right. It wasn't very likely that a simple malfunction could bring the entire system down. She knew that even with her limited knowledge on technology. What else could it be? she wondered. Judging by the look on Elisa's face, she knew Elisa had another theory. Glancing around to make sure there were no more natives within earshot, she turned to the computer technician. "What do you think could have caused the malfunction?" she asked her. Elisa shrugged. "There could be many causes. But one in particular strikes me." She paused. Amy was instantly curious. "What?" "Sabotage." "Are you sure? Is it very likely?" Amy asked. She wasn't so sure that it could have been sabotage, but she knew it was still possible, so she didn't rule it out completely. However, she prayed that wasn't the cause. That would mean there was a spy back on Earth, one that knew about the recon mission and had access to the ship. Elisa nodded. "It is possible. There may be a spy back on Earth."

Kira shook her head when asked if she had a place to stay. The place she called home now was nothing more than a convenient shelter from the weather. Her ears lifted up on her offer to stay in the ship. That would be a great idea! She could explore all she wanted, though she would probably get scolded for it. The newcomers seemed really protective of the ship. That was reasonable of course. If she had something that broke she would want to keep it safe from anyone. Looking back to Gin, she said. "Gin..I would like that. If it's okay with you of course.."

Isel explored around a little, and made his way back to the door they'd entered. He'd seen enough of the ship for one day. He kept his newfound prize, the pipe wrench, in his hands, held limply by the wrench head, instead of the handle, as to not appear as if he had any ill intent.
Which he didn't.
"This is a fascinating airship." he commented to the strange folk, smiling.

Gin picked up another small piece of metal and placed it on top of Kira's accumulation, "Hmm, plenty of beds here, we had far to many anyway, even with the full crew." She brushed her hair out of her eyes and motioned to the door, "I've got what I need, lets go see if the princess is being good in our engine room."
Green span around aimlessly listening to the odd people and watching to see if anything interesting would happen on it's own or if she would need to do something herself. "What's Earth? is that where you live?" She leaned back and fell purposefully, landing with her head by Amy's feet. "I live in a cottage, which is like a small house, I only need a small house cos' I am ickle."

Kira followed Gin loyally to the engine room, happy that her small pile was gradually getting bigger. She was still wondering what she was going to do with it all. She had started gathering the stuff on a whim but now that she had a good pile of stuff she didn't know what to do with it. Maybe she could sell it to some of the vendors, but would Gin like that? This stuff really belonged to the visitors so it would be mean to sell it without asking.
