Gabriel's nervousness slowly melted away from his face, leaving nothing but seriousness in its wake. He closed his eyes and pictured his sister, with her short hair and big eyes, smiling up at him. He opened them again and stared blankly at Nico.
"I'd bring the building down."

A very faint sort of smile spread across her lips, clasping her hands in her lap. "I see. Thank you for your honesty." She said softly, a tear rolling down the hidden side of her face. She brushed it away as she gathered her bangs behind her ear, uncrossing her legs. At least.... she had done the right thing. Some part of her would probably always wonder if she should have kept one alive, but in reality she knew she had done the right thing.
chuckling a little, she scratched the back of her head as a nervous sort of grin spread across her lips. "Hehe... Sorry for asking something so heavy so suddenly."

The atmosphere had gotten lighter again. Taking a long, deep sigh, Gabriel leaned back in his chair again, facing Nico with a soft smile.
"It's all good," he said, putting his hands on his lap. "We all get one hypothetical, the way I see it. The time may come when I as you one myself!"

Jane wobbled out of his room, sick of his dreamless sleep. Finally wandering into Nico and Gabriel, he opened his orange eyes, smiling lightly. "Hypothetical, eh?" He said, making his presence known. Raising his eyebrows at Nico, he made it evident that he'd heard the whole thing. And he knew that it wasn't only hypothetical. So that had been what she'd been upset about earlier. "Let me ask: does Jane get a hypothetical?" He joked in third person, even though he was completely serious about his question. He really wanted to know.

Nico smiled softly, tilting her head as she thought about that. Chuckling, the smile turned to a slight smirk, cracking her neck. "Oh I've had more than one. Perhaps we don't really have a stock of them hm?" She asked, though she was soon distracted by Jane's arrival.
Her smirk fell and her expression became unreadable, so now he knew. She hated eavesdropping. Whether it was someone else doing it upon her, or if she ended up doing it by accident. Call it a pet peeve if you really wanted to. It felt somehow dishonest. "I suppose, what is it?" She murmured, faking a slight smile easily. She had to treat her teammates civilly at the least. Whether or not they would do the same.

Finally done soaking, Amaya got out and got dressed again. She simply wanted through the base, silently smirking to herself everytime she'd pass a person, who would immediately move out of the way for her. She wasn't interested in any of these people, she was only interested in seeing Dreamer's Industries taken apart. She passed a room and heard Nico, Jane, and Gabriel in there. She could feel a sense of annoyance off of Nico and it made her laugh darkly. Nico didn't have to share a room with the idiot. Everyone was an idiot in Amaya's eyes. Even herself sometimes.
"You all are pathetic." She finally said as she leaned against the door frame. "You let your emotions in the way. All that will happen is your swift death...then again...you know what? Just keep going the way you are, I can't accomplish more without you." She growled to them.

"What would any of you do if you just suddenly woke up, and couldn't remember anything- not even your name?" Jane asked gently, after Amaya had walked in. He tended to ignore what she said at this point, as it was normally negative.

At first, Amaya scoffed at Jane's question, but it seemed to sink in anyway and she hung her head, folding her arms across her chest. "I'd probably be happy for once..." She murmured quietly as she thought about everything that she'd never be able to forget.

Gabriel adjusted the seating in his chair, turning to the new company in the room.
He stared at Amaya as she entered. "Well I mean, it's hard NOT to feel anything isn't it?" he said, slightly frowning his eyebrows towards her. "I mean, I wanna take these guys down as bad as you do, but it's a bit hard to forget that we're sometimes going to be dealing with innocent people here."
He turned to Jane, pondering his statement. "Well," he stated after thinking for a moment, turning his head up in contemplation. "I think I would just start writing everything down, you know? I would write down everything. Everything I remembered. That way, when I forgot, I could just go back to wherever I wrote stuff down and I'd be up to speed, just like that." He straightened his lips and nodded a couple times in self-confirmation; the words had been well pondered.

Nico looked up as Amaya appeared in the doorway, somehow her presence washing away some of the annoyance she felt towards Jane at this point in time. "Well, sometimes I'd like to think that emotions keep me human. And I unfortunately need them for my powers." She commented, falling silent as she listened to Jane's question.
Propping her elbows on her knee's, she touched her clasped hands to her lips in thought, taking a moment as she listened to the others answers. What would she do..... "I honestly don't know. I would hate having to rediscover what my parents are and what they've done. I would probably begin to do what Gabriel would. Or consult Gladys. If this is in a different area then make a fresh start." She finally answered, leaning back in her chair again. "Sorry, my answers all over the place." She gave a slight chuckle, but well she really had no idea what she'd do if that happened.

Gabriel nodded slowly, leaning even further back into his chair and putting his feet up on a nearby desk. He looked towards Jane; he was hoping he'd helped. He chuckled slightly as he listened to Nico. "Doesn't sound all over the place to me!" he said, chancing a smile. "Sounds pretty spot-on, actually!" He adjusted in his chair again, deciding to stretch out; he lifted his arms wide over his shoulders and placed them behind his head. For some reason, the conversation had put him a little more at ease. The uneasiness about his dream seemed to have lifted.

(( Sorry guys, I got impatient with waiting. xP ))
Nico blinked, and smiled with a slight chuckle as a sign of her relief. "Well, glad to know." She said softly, starting to sit back when she paused and touched a hand to her earring. Gladys was bringing something to her attention, her expression softening. "Thanks. I'll head there immediately." Rising up from her chair, she shut down her terminal.
"Please excuse me, I have something to attend to. G'night all." She explained, leaving the large room, taking a moment till she finally walked past Amaya in the doorway. In reality she was seething, that emptiness starting to creep in again. The truth was, Gladys had analyzed something for her and had something to report. In private. So she didn't waste any time getting to the dorms, walking at a rather fast pace.
Closing and locking the door, she was glad the rooms were sound proof, turning and pressing her earring so Gladys interfaced with the computer on her desk. She listened as she typed, pulling up a few vids. It was security footage of the facility. When they began to make the clones.... test them out... what they did to them.... She sat as still as stone, until she saw one woman pop up on the screen. So far it was confirming her suspicions as well as what that man had said as being true. Then her eyes almost seemed to turn a blazing crimson, the dark aura seeming to extend from her in her anger. The man on the screen spoke, "Excuse me, Dr. Minoru?" "b***h. How dare you!!! How dare you... to your own son...." Tears of rage and pain and.... well a whole bunch of things escaped, punching the wall nearest to her. Just because it was sound proof, did not mean that it was soft. Her hand was already bruised, and now was bleeding, but she didn't feel it. She wanted to scream. She wanted to kill. She wanted to beat something to a pulp.
But she didn't. Instead, she gritted her teeth and swallowed it all down as hard as it was. Sure, this increased the amount of tears and pain she felt, but it was better this way she believed. "Thank you Gladys..." She whispered in a strained calm, just trying resist the urge to rip the place apart.

Jane sighed lightly. Of course Gabriel's response would be best-for the events of short term memory loss. But amnesia? Nope, that wouldn't help. He closed his eyes, walking off towards the kitchen. Beginning to cook, he tried not to think about anything, not to cry from not knowing who he actually was. Jane? His name? He'd remembered it at least five hours after he'd woken up that horrifying first time.

Seeing the room empty and not really finding any more reason to be there, Gabriel threw himself out of the chair and headed out the door, back down the dank hallway he had just shuffled down. It's so odd how everyone just appears and disappears so suddenly, he thought. Kinda like a flash mob! Hmm... Now what to do? I guess I'll just look around some more... He thought he should start somewhere familiar, so he began to make his way back to the room.
Something felt odd as he passed his dorm, however. "What is this feeling?... This feeling coming from here? he said to himself, edging closer to the door. He put his ear up to the cool wood, attempting to catch a sound. He heard nothing at first. Then a deafening rumble. Something was amiss. He tried to turn the handle on the door, but it was locked on the inside. He pulled a throwing knife out of his pouch, slid his key in with his other hand, turned it, and thrust the door open with his shoulder.
Walking through the threshold of the doorway, he saw Nico sitting at her desk. At first he relaxed, but then hardened again when he saw her hand bleeding.
He wanted to leave everything the way it was; he relocked the door as he entered. "Nico," he started. "is everything alright?"

As she heard the knife in the lock, her eyes shifted to the door, her hands shaking as she forced them to remain still. No... At a couple of words from Gladys, she merely lowered her eyes, the screen going black as she punched the wall again with a slight roar. By then Gabriel had come in and locked the door behind him, her body trembling. Dammit, her powers were roiling around. Whenever the Staff of One emerged, she always had to remember a dark memory and ended up feeling like the was tearing a piece of herself away. Now was similar, just no purpose to summon the staff.
Falling very, very still as he spoke to her, she straightened up and removed her hand from the wall, letting them both hang at her sides. Her tears patted down to the floor as she bowed her head. "No to be quite frank. Everything, is not alright." She said in a very low tone, still fighting all of the dark urges that she wanted to commit. Hell, she wanted to slap Jane for eavesdropping but that would solve nothing and only add to their problems. Besides, it wasn't worth it, and he didn't need the aggravation right now. It was a petty reason to anyways. Walking to the bathroom she found the first aid, wrapping a bandage around her injured hand. Wiping at the tears, her cheeks and eyes still stung, but they felt like nothing.
"Back at the base. Something.... personal happened. I know who committed it, and I know their reasons as to why. They are still unfortunately out of reach." She murmured, walking out of the bathroom to sit on her bed. Clutching at her head, she heard that voice echo in her ears, the warmth of his hands upon her in that last embrace. "When I find them, it won't be a pretty sight." She hissed, starting to go to punch the wall again but she stopped herself, falling limp as she stared at the floor.
