Looks great to me! The text is just a bit hard to read. Perhaps smaller/nonbold?

And yes, I'm finally going to get back to skillwriting. I have a concert today, so I've been really busy this last week.
(And the divorce has... been damn hard on me. So sorry, I'll be back in a bit.)

Name of Skill: Soul Crush

Posts to Learn: 25

Type: Active Direct

Description: They think they've got the advantage on you, but no, you've got an ace up your sleeve. They're quite literally stunned at your power!

Effect: When you're surrounded by multiple enemies, this skill will let you attack each of them at the same time with one roll. (NOT one roll each!) This also allows you to Stun them for one turn.

Limits: 5x per day.

Name of Skill: Defending Aura

Posts to Learn: 10

Type: Passive Direct

Description: Ghah, don't they ever give up?! You brace yourself, willing through sheer force of will that they won't hit you. You project your aura like a translucent shield in front of you. No hands needed!

Effect: Attacks against you will have a -1 (for basic levels, and further -1 for each level your opponent is higher) roll detriment for two turns.

Limits: 8x per day.

Name of Skill: Rally the Troops

Posts to Learn: 8

Type: Passive Direct

Description: "Oh you lily-livered cowards, can't you see they're getting weaker! Two more hits and they'll be down! C'mon, fight for all you're worth!" THIS. IS. SPARTAAAAAA!!

Effect: Up to five friends, but not you yourself, gain +3 to attack rolls for one turn. Does NOT affect your defense rolls, however, so keep an eye on your back!

Limits: No limits!

Iunno, I feel like I did it REALLY sloppily. Will try redoing today... if I get round to it..
PostPosted: Thu May 27, 2010 6:52 pm

I like the idea, but it looks a bit 'blah' to me right now (as my townsfolk so eloquently say) And it also would need a key to all the symbols, which might make some people dislike it

Name of Skill: Change Appearance

Posts to Learn: 13

Type: Active Indirect

Description: Perhaps you hate your body image? Perhaps you want different hair, but without the wait? Perhaps you want claws and fangs? Whatever your want, Change Appearance can make happen. Using magic, you change your body to what you want. Unfortunately, it only works for small things.

Effect: Change Appearance alters one's appearance. Acceptable transformations are hair growth/removal, changes to facial features, claw/fang growth or removal, and 'false' tattoos. Unacceptable transformations include anything that involves growth/removal of appendages (wings, tail, limbs, etc.) or a size alteration in excess of 1 cm (any body part)
-Change Appearance cannot be used if Negation is in effect
-Change Appearance's effects cannot be Dispelled, and never wear off
-Change Appearance can only be used on yourself

Mm, which is why I was keeping the symbols to a minimum. The two in taht one mean "can be parried" and "can be dodged," I've got a couple of others that mean "Proficiency" and "causes status effect..."

Eh, iunno, the idea was for people to have something they could easily clip and take around with them rather than having to constantly refer back to the guide...
PostPosted: Thu May 27, 2010 7:07 pm

((that expects them to have a printer...a good idea, but possibly -read, possibly- impractical))

Name of Skill: Minor Levitation

Posts to Learn: 10

Type: Active Indirect

Description: Gravity? Gravity? Hah! I laugh at gravity! See me? I'm laughing myself off the ground! ...woops, I hit the ceiling.

Effect: Minor Levitation allows you to float up to 3 meters -about 11 feet- off the ground. It can also be used to save oneself from hitting the ground after falling by simply Levitating once you get close.
-Minor Levitation cannot be used if Negation is in effect
-If Dispel is used on a person while they are Levitating, that person falls to the ground
-Minor Levitation's effects wear off after 3 turns unless recast
-Can be used to Dodge ONE (1) Melee attack per battle

Name of Skill: Transmute Property

Posts to Learn: 14

Type:Active Indirect

Description: 'Why can see myself in this concrete slab?' 'Simple, I Transmuted it to be reflective'

Well, you cannot recreate the object, but you can certainly mess with its traits! With this skill, reflectivity, color, flammability, and a blade's sharpness -among other things- are all under your control...With limits that is...

Effect: Transmute Property allows the caster to change an object's trait. For any use that doesn't have a combat or destruction-related use (think reflectivity or color) such a trait can be adjusted without limit. For any damage-related trait (flammability, hardness, etc) the trait can only be slightly adjusted, no more than 50% more or less than original (ex, wall can be made half as hard, or 50% more hard)

-Only bladed or thin, blade-like objects can be made sharper or duller
-Cannot be used if Negation is in effect
-Effects cannot be Dispelled, nor do they wear off

((gah, I hate how Transmutation turned out...))

Name of Skill: Reparation (Repair)

Posts to Learn: 11

Type: Active Indirect

Description: Practice has definitely paid off. Rather than fix dings and scratches, you can now fix the entire shattered window! No broken object is safe from your ultimate repairing skills!

Effect: Reparation allows large and/or complex things to be returned to their original state, such as a broken vase or collapsed wall. Nothing larger than a standard car can be Repaired at once. Repair can be cast on a small (bread-sized or smaller) object to provide continual, neverending protection from damage.
-Cannot be used if Negation is in effect
-Effects cannot be Dispelled
-If an object is Repair-enhanced, a cast of Dispel or entry into a Negation-active area will completely remove such enchantment.

Name of Skill: Transfigure Mundane Object (TMO)

Posts to Learn: 15

Type: Active Indirect

Description: Baseball? Grenade?!? What's the difference anymore? With Transfigure Mundane Object, only size makes anything different from anything else.

Effect: An object can be made into something of a similar size. Object cannot become money, nor anything of a highly valuable nature. Objects larger than a softball cannot be transfigured by this spell.
-Cannot be used if Negation is in effect
-Effects cannot be Dispelled
-Objects of an extremely hazardous nature (think radioactive waste or other objects that can destroy a lot) cannot be neither the original object nor the resultant. Small explosives (like the aforementioned grenade) are okay, but don't overdo it.

((looks like I'm perfect for these transmutation ones, because I can think of the dangerous loopholes and fix them before they can be used!))

Name of Skill: Walk on Water

Posts to Learn: 17

Type: Passive Indirect

Description: 'Oh...my...god...oh wait, it's only you. For a second there I thought you were a deity or something!'
Yup, you can now walk on water. Cool, no?

Effect: With this skill, you are able to walk on top of any liquid, water being the most common. Yes, it means you can walk on poisons, but just remember that an ever so tiny part of your foot still needs to touch it.
-If Dispel is cast on a Water-Walking character, or if they walk into a Negation zone, the character falls in.
-The character may still swim; they must simply desire to do so and the spell will cease working for a short time
PostPosted: Thu May 27, 2010 7:41 pm

Name of Skill: Water Breathing

Posts to Learn: 23

Type: Passive Indirect

Description: 'Flippers? Check! swimsuit? Check!...oxygen...CHECK! '
You're practically a fish now, amazing! No more must you come up for air when you go diving! Just remember, this spell cannot counteract the great pressures of the deep sea, so don't go too deep.

Effect: You can pull oxygen directly out of the water with magic, just like a fish's gills do.
-If a Water-Breathing character is the target of Dispel, or swims into a Negation zone, their oxygen supply is disrupted and they must come to the surface for air
-As your character is immune to drowning, they are also immune to the Dowsing spell 'Drown', and will not be affected by the drowning side-effects of many other Hydromancy and/or Dowsing spells

Name of Skill: Transfigure Living Object (TLO)

Posts to Learn: 17

Type: Active Indirect

Description: Sick of all those rats in your house? Turn 'em to birds for a nice wake-up call! Turn 'em to squirrels so they'll run into your trees! Size is the limit with this spell!
...oh, and you can also make your hideously ugly neighbor slightly more attractive if you so wished.

Effect: An animal can be turned into another animal of similar size, or alter another person's appearance (see Change Appearance for the limits of the latter)
-Permission is not required to change another person's appearance, but it is widely accepted that you will ask unless it is a combat/espionage situation.
-Cannot be used in a Negation zone
-Effects cannot be Dispelled
PostPosted: Thu May 27, 2010 8:04 pm

Name of Skill: Change Form

Posts to Learn: 26

Type: Active Indirect

Description: Pssh! You're still a human on the inside, right? So what's it matter if you've used magic to become slightly nonhuman?

Effect: Your appearance or physical structure can be changed nearly without limit. You cannot grow to more than 7 1/2 feet tall, you cannot give yourself gills (cheaters trying to get Water Breathing) and you must be more-or-less humanoid after use.
-Acceptable uses include, but are not limited to: Becoming very fatty to protect from a fall, webbing hands or toes, growing wings/tail, and altering appearance (see Change Appearance)
-Cannot be used in a Negation zone
-Effects cannot be Dispelled

((Finally finished!!! *Crashes after 1 hour, 9 skill uber-streak))

((any more work for me?))

Couple of extra skills for mab:

Strike of Flowing Waters
Icy Spear
Biting Mist
Silent Waters
Boiling Torrent
Candles in the Wind

Not many, I know, but I feel like they're all I should spare. I have a feeling I'll be devoting an entire day to skills soon, so I can catch up with ya.
