Sprite sat down across from her and looked down at his food with a blush. "I managed not to get too much soot into it, I think... Buster always teases me when I cook at home. He says no matter what I cook it will end up tasting sooty anyway, and what good is a sooty aftertaste if it wasn't caused by an explosion." He shook his head. "Well I'll never fully understand Buster anyway." He started to eat quietly, hoping that she would too. He was very anxious to find out if Mosella liked his cooking.

Mosella let out a small laugh, "Sounds at fun house your." She quickly gave him a smile then took a bite of the chicken. Her smile wided and she swallowed quickly. "This is delicious!" she exclaimed as she went for another bite. It really tasted amazing, she thought to herself, he should be a gourmet chef.
[I'm a horrible person who just needs to be kicked in the head e___e]

Sprite blushed and smiled, looking down as his food as he ate. "Th... thanks.... But really I never would have learned if it weren't for Moofin. He... he had a lot of patience teaching me..." He was so relieved that she liked it that he let out a small sigh.

Mosella smiled and gave him a small thumbs up, "He whatever taught you worked sure! People'd good pay for money this food like" she said happily as she took another bite. "Taste any can't I soot all at either."

Sprite blushed again, smiling. "Thanks so much. That really means a lot to me." He finished his food quietly, trying to sort out his feelings. He liked this girl a lot, but he had no idea how to tell her, or if he even should. What if she didn't feel the same way, and he scared her off? What if she laughed at him? Sprite didn't think he could take the pain of a rejection from her.

"Anytime!" Mosella finished her dinner with a smile, he really was a sweetheart. He's been an amazing friend to her, she thought to herself as she went for a drink. He'd be a great boyfriend too... she started blushing like mad and coughed. Too early to think of things like that, no matter how much she came to like him... besides who would want to keep her around? She talked weird and she didn't have any amazing talents...He deserved someone great like him

Sprite looked up, worried. "Are you allright?" What if she was choking? Sprite tried to remember how to help someone when they were choking, but at the moment his mind went blank. He stood up in a panic, only to relax when he saw she was ok. He breathed a sigh of relief. "I dunno what I'd do if something happened to you!" He cried out, noticing as soon as he had said it how overly-emotional it probably sounded.

Mosella looked at him and smiled, waving a paw in dismissal to try to reassure him. Quickly she said, "I'm alright! Went it down pipe the wrong just," and she quickly started laughing at how her voice sounded. She quickly quieted as she thought at what he said last, that threw her for a loop... She was seriously hoping she was hearing right. "Don't worry," She said as she reached over to grab his paw lightly, with a small grin "Let I wander won't that my like from on now mind," She didn't want him to worry about her, just for him to go back to smiling.

Sprite breathed a sigh of relief. "Promise? I.... I... well..." He stopped himself before he said anything he'd regret. He surely didn't want to scare this girl away. "Well I just don't want anything bad happening to you is all..." He yawned slightly and stroked his tail over hers.

Mosella nodded with her blush returning, "I promise," she really wanted to know what he was thinking, "You that worry don't to need about, I'll be.... careful" nodding. She felt bad that she had made him worry at all. "You getting tired?" she said with a giggle

Sprite blushed a bit more and nodded. "Yeah.... It's been a long day, I guess...Thanks.... thanks for letting me stay here tonight.... That's really kind of you.... You're.... I think you're the kindest, prettiest girl I have ever met." Sprite blurted out. He breathed a sigh of relief, glad to just get that out of his system.

Mosella's blush quickly deepened, "I-I'm really either not of those...but thank... you... so much..." she said. That was one of the sweetest things anyone had said to her, and the pretty comment completely boggled her mind. "So I'm glad spent day to the you with got I." She quickly brushed her tail against him then started piling the dishes in a pile, she'd clean them later.

She had never gotten compliments like that from anyone other than her family... probably because she didn't make any friends....well, other than Sprite. He didn't care how she talked, thank goodness, it would probably just break her heart if he did say anything.

Sprite nodded and followed her quietly. He hoped he hadn't said too much. The last thing he wanted was to scare her off or something like that. The truth was, Sprite had never liked a girl before. He didn't really have any friends, even his housemates usually ignored him or else forgot he was there. As he followed Mosella out of the kitchen, he took a better look of the house, marveling at its size.
