Gully was nothing if not honest, so he nodded. "Yes sir, you have... spikey thingies coming out of your eye brows." he said, obviously awestruck.
'Can I touch them?"

"I -" Grencia paused for a few moments, obviously considering the words of the bear for quite sometime before conceding that he was right. As much as Grencia would loathe to admit it, Grencia did in fact have 'spikey' things above his head that would be considered as 'having something on his face' - he had really walked into that one without thinking.
"You have a quick wit." He murmured faintly, a hint of a smile fluttering onto his lips as he lowered his head somewhat to oblige the bear in his request, "And of course you may touch, but do not pull as it is really quite painful." He confessed in a somewhat sheepish manner.

Rearing back so he could reach, Gully sniffed lightly at the strange.. feathers? They sure did look like the golden feathers Marahute sported...
"Feathers huh? Are you really a chicken then?" He asked without thinking, settling back into his usual splay legged sitting position.

"No, I'm fairly certain that I am most definately not a chicken - I am simply a soquili with..." He hesitated as he glanced at his wings. He had many little quirks from the plumes in his tail to the whiskers on his head and sometimes it was a little difficult to find the right words to describe them. "Many different appendages, and odd ball if you will." He continued, offering a wry smile as he continued to speak.
Ensuring his head remained close to the ground, he kept his gaze on the young bear and arched a brow. All in all, he had met many sociable creatures in his time but seeing a bear outside a human abode was a little...odd.
Very odd actually.
"Might I enquire as to who you are, Sir Ursine?"

"Gully" The bear responded cheerfully, still enamoured with simply watching the feathers dance lightly in the breeze. Many times he had watched Marahute's feathers dance like this, but the old bird would have never let him touch them.
Tetatively, Gully reared back up, reaching forward with one carefully rounded paw so as only one black nail stroked the reddish-orange appendage. "They are so pretty..."

"I am Grencia." The soquili stallion responded softly, he seemed to appreciate the delicate touch of the bear. He hadn't expected something with such large paws to be capable of it, but Gully had proven him wrong - apparently there were those in the world who respected the boundaries outlined by those around them.
"And I will admit that I rather like them myself, but they have their problems." He confessed. It was much easy to talk to someone he didn't know - but how horrified he would be when he discovered that Gully was well aware of who he spoke of.
...Or worse still, that Gully was a bit of a gossip!

Still running a claw over the silky feathers, Gully turned his violet eyes fully on the stallion, mustering as sympathetic a look as he could despite his joy at being allowed to touch what most deemed untouchable. (At least for a predatory bear)
"What problems? These don't have problems.. they are pretty and soft." He was obviously stumped that such a "pretty" thing as the feathers would cause the stallion trouble... He was so big after all, what could they do? Smother him if they started to grow over every part of him?
An involuntary giggle escaped at the mental image of the regal Grencia covered in his own feathers.

"Mm, not everyone appreciates them though." He pointed out, smiling appreciatively as the bear seemed to enjoy his appearance. For a predator, this creature was certainly a very tame and very pleasant individual to be around. Whoever had tamed the creature must have been either very strong or just a good thing - although there was a tiny part of this stallion who had the suspicion that Gully might very well have adopted the soquili in question.
...Almost as though the soquili didn't have a choice.
"But thank you for the compliments, Sir Ursine - I don't suppose you might be able to inform me of my location?"

Rocking back on his haunches, the bear's mobile face screwed up into an expression of deep thought. Not that he was confused by the question... it was just he really hadn't the foggiest idea where the teepee was in relation to anything else.
He just knew where it was.
"Well Sir, I'd hate to steer you wrong, so I'll be honest and say I'm not to sure where we are myself. I just.. um... know how to get here." He said, grinning broadly again.

Well, that certainly didn't help at all...Grencia had never encountered someone who was prepared to admit that they were well and truly lost. Most would feign some type of knowledge, pretend they knew where something was but it seemed this bear favoured brute honesty. While Grencia would compliment him on it, it really didn't help him all that much in relation to being well...lost.
He did need to find his way back after all.
"Hrm, well this causes a few problems." He mused at last, flicking his ears as he glanced about his surroundings, perhaps it was time for a new strategy or approach?
"THen perhaps you might know how to get back out, on to the slopes?"

" 'Course I know how to get to the slopes." The bear replied, tone bordering on the offended... as if he had just admitted to not knowing where he was.
But then again, this was Gully; he had his own logic.
" Just take that path right there and keep walking.... ground'll start rising and BAM! You're there."

[[ Tai and Esper ]]
Bloody_Buffy Rp Between Tai and Esper]] Creme mane, touched the side of a pale neck, as she shook her head, trying to get the sleep from her eyes.
She had a full nights rest, but she still felt tired. She wasnt sure why, but maybe age was creeping up on her. She lifted a foot, and used it to propel herself up.
She wobbled for a brief second, before her body found its original weight distribution and she smiled.
Hopefully today would be good.Celeanor
Shaking out his heavy golden mane, Tai watched with mock interest as Edelsteine and Celei's hawk Marahute played a rather deadly game of cat, bird and mouse. Honestly, he could almost feel sorry for the little field rat... it had two predators after it... and they were working together.
Eventually Marahute let out a happy creel and landed, claws bloody, wings mantled over her kill while the mountain lion cat-grinned impishly, having scored a second kill when their game had flushed out a rabbit.
"Enjoying yourselves?" He asked, his own characteristic grin quirking the corners of his muzzle. While he wasn't a fan of the hunt, he could appreciate why his two companions enjoyed it... the thrill, the success, and the good eats after.
Almost like berry hunting.
Bloody_Buffy Esper walked slowly as if savoring the day. She took everything in as if she walked too fast, she would miss something by the mili second it took to happen.
The stream was cold this morning, as it was usually every morning. It was teaming with fish and other life, but that didnt really concern her.. Maybe Anusha would eat the fish.. but she had no use for it.
Gingerly, she bent her head down to lap at the crystal, taking in the reflection of the world around.
She wondered where her children were.. Marahute, Biscuit, and Tsayuli.. She missed them, and she missed Tai. Where had he gone off to anyway?
She lifted her head, and began walking. Celeanor
Speaking of berries...
Hunger pangs clawed at the insides of the stallion's stomach, demanding immediate attention. Flame had always said the stomach ruled the brain of growing colts; but now fully grown; Tai really wondered about that. Up until this moment he had been loathe to leave his sun-warmed nest in the tall grass.
"I'll be right back Edel, Marahute; stomach's a'rumblin' at me." He said cheerfully, pulling himself to his feet.
Bloody_Buffy The mare walked, not really knowing of her destination, and she figured it didnt matter too much. Where did she need to be anyway? Absolutely no where..
She flicked her tail at her body to get rid of the fly that dared land on her.
As she was walking, she felt a familiar grumble coming from the pit of her stomach. She was hungry.
"Breakfast.."
She said, angling her head to see the small berry bush she had come to favor.
"Mmm" Celeanor
It didn't take long for his hunger sharpened senses to find the right place.
Took even less time for the dark stallion to plunge head first into the surrounding bushes in search of the smaller bush he could smell but not see. Hunt indeed. His mind thought happily, as he sniffed and snorted his way through the offending leaves; eyes closed.
Bloody_Buffy Her eyes stopped on the red berry.
Bingo.
It looked good and almost as if it had a target printed on it in bright blue.
She lowered her muzzle, to get the prize berry. Celeanor
Sniffing experimentally, Tai paused when his nose encountered something altogether unexpected.
It was warm..
Kinda fuzzy...
Really familiar....
"Esper?"
Bloody_Buffy Esperanza pulled away as if struck, sneezing a bit.
Her eyes were wide. But she knew that voice, and it only startled her until she realized she knew it.
"Tai?!"
She gave a kind smile, and ran to him, offering loving nuzzles and a kiss or two.
"It has been awhile my love. Much too long."
She flicked her tail, giving a wink.
Celeanor
Half buried in the brush, Tai could only giggle uncontrollably as his mate's nuzzles sent the bushs a'wigglin' down his sides. "Esper- Esper-stophehe-ESPER!" Tears were beginning to spring at the corners of his eyes while he tried to back up; aggravating the situation even more.. and then she winked at him.
Unfair.
Bloody_Buffy She smiled, knowing full well what she'd done.
She gave a little snort, and she couldnt help but smile wider.
"Im sorry Tai.. Did you get tickled?"
She felt so playful. SHe hadnt seen anyone in so long, and here was her love, the one she loved more than life.. She gave another nuzzle, seeing that he was out of the bush now. Celeanor
Reclaiming his breath, Tai managed a crooked smile for his soulmate; mind already spinning down the road of revenge.
She just had to be ticklish somewhere.
"Sorry indeed. Come here." He rumbled, grin taking on a mischevious twist. With that he returned the nuzzle, taking in the scent of her that he had missed so much during their seperation; almost forgetting to nudge every inch of her in search of that spot.

[[ Amarinne and Ignacia ]]
`Swirly 'Naci was still a baby. Wrong-o. She had grown up so much over the past year and a half that she hated being called a child by her loving albeit over-bearing mother at times. Lovey Dovey still fusseda t her as if she'd tumble and fall at any given moment. In reality, 'Naci was very much sturdy. Her mane and tail still consisted of blue flames that styled themselves quite nicely unless she took a swim.. Then it would hiss and pile itself up ontop of her head and smoke like crazy. Blah.
Shaking out the mane in question she stood beside a steam and just stareda t herself. Strangly enough faint markings had begun to grow into her coat and her fiery mane and tail seemed to be lengthening.. All-in-all.. she was growing up.
Celeanor
Travelling had done little to improve the delicate mare's opinion of her herd and of the decision that forced her departure. Not that her current predicament was as bad as.. say.. being held captive by a pair of trickster tree spirits. Nor was it quite as bad as being caught out on an open plain during that fierce thunderstorm a few days ago.
But staring at her reflection at the stream's edge, it was becoming increasingly difficult to convince herself of those facts.
Her long braid had started to come loose, showing all the signs of being dragged through the mud and through trees; while her tail was anything but a tail... no it resembled a briar patch more then a proper soquili tail. And her scarf, the legacy of the two-leggers who had cared for her herd, was sullied beyond repair.
"I never thought of myself as vain..." she whispered, more to herself before the presence of another intruded on her self-pity. Looking up the unicorn thought of running; but found she just didn't have the energy anymore.
`Swirly 'Naci continued to look into the water when something at the edge of her vision caught her attention and held. Looking up she saw a mare that was, well, quite filthy not too far away. Aely always took proper care of Lovey's hair and her own mane required nothing. When it rained she would hide inside and nothing happened out of the ordinary.
Taking a few tentative steps the young mare made her way over to theo ther without too much fear. One because being afraid only served to make others feel bigger than they were and two because if the mare attacked she'd end up charred.
Pausing long enough to paw at the ground, 'Naci fussed for a moment over whether or not she ought to get closer. Bah, it wouldn't do her any harm to be a bit friendlier with people. As of late some of her adoptive father's reclusive behavior had seeped into her.
"Oi! 'ello there! What're ye doin'?" Blinking two still-innocent amber eyes, she waited. Celeanor
Amarinne tensed at the voice, and after a moment she looked up shyly; almost surprised to see a yearling rather then the mare she had thought she had seen.
Must be the hair... She thought absently, before chiding herself mentally for such a base thought. She was not in a position to judge based on appearances!
"Hello..." she managed, keeping her head down so her hair fell around and concealed her face; politely ignoring the second half of the greeting.
`Swirly 'Naci just stopped and propped up one of her hind legs. So it seemed that the mare wasn't really in a talkative mood, or she was shy? Neither of those two words would ever be put next 'Naci and fit comfortably.
Her eyes blinked slowly and she tired to decide whether or not to keep talking or if it'd be wise to leave the mare alone. Bah, being wise wasn'ta ll that fun.
Shaking her head again, "Hello yerself.. aye-aye... Are ye nae in a mood fer comp'ny?" Might as well just double-check. Celeanor
Company?
The sudden pang of lonliness took the young unicorn's breath away, and she had to reassert herself so she wouldn't weave on suddenly unsteady feet.
"Company..." she echoed faintly, finally looking up. Yes... yes she wanted company, and she wanted to be clean, and she wanted to be cared for, and she wanted to be understood...
Dammit she wanted to go home.
But home hadn't been any of those things for two years, and in a sudden (and altogether unwelcome) revelation she realized she never would go home. Her thoughts were not the thoughts of the Great Spirits, she wanted physical things now, she wanted to know what love was...
"I'm.. always in the mood for company." She said softly, hoping her desperate thoughts did not show in her eyes. "My name is Amarinne, what is yours?"
`Swirly Oi...
'Naci's hair flamed slightly when the mare seemed to go breathless. The yearling wasn't overly used to people acting in unusual manners and she was tempted to just bolt away from here.
"Aye.." Maybe this mare was hard on hearing and needed to repeat things? The desire to shake her head again was coming onto her. Almost like shaking her head would make things make more sense for her.
Was she the only sane one? or.. was she insane and they weren't?
Pawing at the ground, 'Naci just snorted loudly. Lovey always said that she didn't have very much lady in her blood and that probably was true. Watching an angst-filled mare was boring and she'd have none of it. Just when she was about to get cranky and let the other kn ow that she sounded like a raging fool she spoke and it was at least a step towards being better.
"I'm glad ye like comp'ny. me name's Ignacia, but most all jest call me 'Naci." Celeanor
Amarinne smiled softly and bobbed her head, careful to avoid striking her new companion with her horn. "The pleasure is mine Ignacia." She said, suddenly and forcibly reminded of her old friend Swidd when she took note of the expression on Igancia's face.
Swidd would have swatted her by now, come to think of it.
"My apologies, I have not been.. myself."
