Remus, who was right up in front of the large crowd of fauns, looked behind him at the human half of Kaok speaking. He turned back to face the fauns again, slowly lowering his hands. He wasn't sure what exactly was being said, but if something happened he wanted to be able to grab his weapons as quickly as he could.

Emma had retreated back towards her husband, allowing Kaok to take center stage. Her eyes were still glowing a faint violet as she monitored the Faun-possessed human, a healing spell at the ready for when it (eventually) became necessary.
One hand rested on her cane-sword as well, ready for battle.

Made up my mind to make a new start,

"We're tracking her, if you value your hooves-." She gestured. "-You'll let us go so that we can capture her."
The males that had come forward, slowly stepped back, all except one. The Faun would be familiar only to her. He stared at the group, then at the human, to the ruined altar and then back to the girl. He didn't openly refute her story, but didn't appear to believe it.
"Really now?" He asked.
"Really." And the human shot him a look that many troops once dreaded, filled with all of the hatred that she'd ever felt for the place they were in. The satyr stepped back, mouth shut tight.
"That's goddamn right."
Under different circumstances she would've spat on the ground in front of them, but she just motioned to her companions to leave, and-. That headache had really grown significantly, hadn't it? She rubbed her temples as they prepared to go.Someone told me theres a girl out there

Remus had no idea what just went down, but apparently it seemed like the human part of Kaok had just scared everyone in the village. The Imperator looked at the village folk and then back at the party, a little confused.

Both nobles stayed silent, hands clasped together and waiting patiently. Emma watched Kaok with concern, knowing that she was in pain.
"Go back, Kaok, before you kill her."

She didn't want to, but being trapped a little longer certainly won out over this body dying. Inside, the worst effects had already started and Kaok didn't want to make them worse either. She relinquished her control, the human stumbling a bit as its own mind returned. It still felt as if she were going to burst though, with all of those thoughts inside her.Someone told me theres a girl out there

Remus slowly began to back away from the townsfolk and turned to walk back to the party. He was a bit relieved to be a distance away from the hooves that could have stampeded over him and the horns that could have gored him. Rejoining the group, he placed a hand on the human Kaok's shoulder.
"Are you alright?" he asked, a bit concerned at seeing her stumble around.

Chris watched all the commotion and was worried over. What was she to do? She couldn't help at all. Hopefully she wouldn't be asked to speak because she could not speak Greek.

Emma watched Kaok fade into the background again, lowering her eyes in an imitation of mourning for the lost Faun.
Lost and to be found again.
"Remus, can you follow the tracks?"

In retrospect, waiting until she could speak a single sentence without faltering would've helped her prove that more, but oh well. She spent the next few minutes avoiding the eyes of Dr. Cairndeer, who seemed ready to spring into action at the drop of a hat.

Remus nodded to Kaok, glad to see that she was alright. He then turned to answer Emma's question.
"Yes, it shouldn't be a problem. It seems that she just left minutes earlier, so they are as fresh as they're going to be."

"After you." Emma gestured to emphasize her point, indicating that Remus should lead. Her posture was straighter somehow and she looked far more dignified than she had in weeks.
Emma was starting to get some of her old self back.

The doctors and the human girl both appeared ready to follow Remus' lead, though the latter was still vaguely disoriented.
The tracks would lead into the forest, and were the only set going in this direction, Fauns didn't appear to enjoy traveling that way.Someone told me theres a girl out there

Remus lead them them out of the village, looking back one more time. He would have liked to have given some of those fauns a piece of his mind, but that would have just caused unnecessary violence. It's not like they could have understood him anyway.
