User Image (wow guys. You went ape crazy since I was last here. lol Guess it's time to play. ^'^)

Treachery was grateful for Sloths sudden interest in their enemies. It was rare, but he was glad he brought her. While they were distracted, he finished his preparations. It wasn't technically alchemy, but a combination of his own power and that of the gate from where all the dead gather. Alchemists strive to harness the gates power, Treachery only uses the element that the gate converts into energy. Souls.

Using the jar and the soil, he mixed it together with the hair from the girl and poured it on the stone slab in three piles. Then with the blade he slashed his palm, sprinkling his blood over the top. As a final measure, he placed a small pebble the color of amber in the middle of each.

"Come play with us now," he stated in a deadpan voice. Keeping a wary eye on the approaching alchemist, he steps around the slab, obscuring anyone's view.

Lightning sizzled off the overhanging branches, their dry leaves and swaying moss burning away as the alchemist Ace did a grandstanding. Taking a couple steps froward, Treachery eyed the man curiously.

"Looks tough, talks tough. Want to make a bet on whether it's soft on the inside Sloth?" he said in a low tone so only the other homunculus would hear.

"Files? My, the state must be bored out of their minds to be keeping tabs on us. And poor ones at that." Treachery let an easy smile grace his lips. "Come now. We may not be human, but do you have any proof of us doing harm? Aside from a little harmless sparing, we have done nothing to you or yours."

Catching sight of Ren, his smile deepened as if something pleased him. Something that wasn't pleasing to anyone else, but him.

"Is it a crime to exist now?"

Ace smiles "Yes it is when you aren't supposed to exist in the first place. Also you did assault two state alchemists so I guess that can be punish worthy enough."

Ren rolled her eyes the only files they had on these things where the once her uncle had fought before she was even born. She had dropped her guard since the fire had left her with a smoke screen. So Ren didn't see the hair shooting through. She couldn't fight off as the hair wrapped around her hands. Ren started pulling backward away from her enemy. Trying her best break free, then she remembered she had the gloves on.

Waiting a moment, she looked to see her smoke was still in effect. It was windless at this point in time. She was standing still like so her enemy would hopefully be caught off guard. Then with a hard tug she pull her hands out of the gloves. Now with out thinking she did several extreme back flips to get very far away.

"You can take me fire, but I have more then one element." Taking out her gun she began to shoot at random through the smoke. She wasn't aiming for anything. Then plan was simple yet she doubted vaguely it would work.

"Who's fault is that?" the boy asked with no inflections. His question could easily be misunderstood as a statement, but he let his eyebrow rise slightly. Methodical logic twisting was his specialty.

"Not ours. No babe can claim that they meant to be born. So you have no right to say we should or shouldn't exist. It was not our mistake to feel your redemption," he chided the man. Though Ace was older and much taller, Treachery looked at him as if he were a simpleton.

"I agree, in part at least, on your assault charge. Though it goes both ways. Sloth," he looked then to his comrade, eyes a darkened green that held no light. "I'm surprised you proceeded without orders." Looking back at the alchemist, he nodded in acquiescence. "She was supposed to only prevent you from harming us, not harm you." Darting eyes caught a glance at the girl before she pulled away.

"Your spy also assaulted my Sloth. She is using unnecessary force to subdue a target that has proven she is not trying to actually kill you. Merely on the assumption that she is not human. And again," he droned on as his gaze resumed their unblinking stare at the alchemist Ace.

"You have no proof that we have done any harm to anyone, other than this spat that has escalated partly due to your own trigger happiness. It's a shame Sloth isn't more bloodthirsty," he mused, though the tone lacked any real conviction. "She only runs on a defensive measure. But I'm sure the state has covered up murder before. That's what you dogs do, right?"

Taking a step forward, Treachery leveled himself evenly with Ace. Between them were a few flattened tombstones and an upturned dead tree. Sloth was to his left, her attention still on the girl who had appeared so suddenly. He knew it must have been the spy from earlier. It all made sense. They wanted to contain whatever was going on quietly and quickly. They had no idea what they had stumbled upon. But he knew.

User ImageListening to every word Ren jumped up on a pillar. "He's a dog, but I have no collar." Back flipping Ren came yard before Treachery. "I'm looking for the stone and I know you have one." Her eyes narrowed, "So what is it I give you my alchemy in exchange for a stone, or we fight and its a coin toss."

Ren did care no when she was this close. She was getting everything back or nothing. She didn't care how stupid it was, she just wanted to see her big brother again. She had lost everything, and she needed it back. "So what is it do you want my help, or not." She screamed tears running down her face. "I'll even kill Ace over there, please you grant my wish I'll grant yours." She had no other option she didn't care what the gate took from her they already had her emotions why did she need anything else.

"Take or leave it." If she could feel her heart would be breaking. This was the first time she admitted it to herself. Ren Aika could not feel human emotion. She was the perfect actor, the best human alchemy doctor. She didn't need emotion's she needed her brother. The one person who she had ever felt alive with in the first place. Ren had been after the feeling of love so it had been taken from her. If only they knew she failed at human transmutation. Her body had been taken, then given back. But she couldn't live without him another moment.

"Yes we do cover things up and it doesn't matter right now but before we continue how has Lust been since our last encounter in Nathal? Or do you not know here, she has to be here as this is a great opportunity for her."

The smoke was a liability, since it had blocked her view from who she was fighting. Still, she could hear decently, and could pinpoint exactly where her opponent was. "Soft." She replied to Treachery's bet, saying it in the same low tone he'd asked her in. She had taken some of her focus off of the girl to do that, and now she was out of her grasp. Sloth had not expected her to give up the gloves like that. Hearing a gun, she dodged most of the bullets, her wounds from the undodge-able bullets quickly healing. Her face made no sign of pain as she was hit.

"Sorry." She said in a low voice, not looking towards Treachery. She knew she'd be punished later, but that wasn't the main concern as of now. Tuning out Treachery's voice, she returned her attention back to the girl only… she'd been too slow. A tiny twinge of frustration popped into her head, then vacated it as quickly as it appeared. She swerved to focus on the happenings over near Treachery, but kept her emotionless face. She did not know what Lust had planned for the alchemists, especially this one, who seemed the key player in this current scheme of theirs. Her breakdown and words did nothing to move Sloth, and she gave a blank cold stare at the girl. Lust would surely know more about this girl than Sloth ever did; she was quite nosy like that. She stood still, statue-like again, waiting for a cue from Treachery.

"It is far beyond my reach to know the dealings of every homunculus in the world. If you wish to know how a certain one is, which would be entertaining enough to see you try without getting eaten or worse, then you must seek them out. Do not assume that we keep a network of connection merely because we are of the same creation," the boy countered with a slight tone if irritation. Even though in truth he knew exactly who the alchemist was talking about, he didn't particularly care to divulge unneccesary details.

Treachery then looked at the girl, his eyes glimmering with the sparks of fire from her alchemy. She just continued to amuse him. Even as he squared off with their commanding officer, she prevents any further verbal crossings by stepping between them with a proposition. Like Sloth he was not moved by her tears, but the deal was intriguing none the less.

"A dog is still a dog with or without a collar you know," he mused with no hint of amusement in his voice. Then he let his lips crack slightly in a smile that is the closest to sincerity he has come in a long while.

Taking a step closer he cocked his head to one side slightly and asked, "And what is it that I wish?"

Ren looked up if she could feel, her heart would feel heavy. She had pretended to feel emotions her whole life, yet she still came out cold. "To become human, just like every other thing like you." Ren said in almost a whisper, she had studied these things for a while now. She knew that was what they wanted it had to be. "If its not I swear I still help you with it as long as I get my wish."

She didn't have time to be careful like she should have. But when all that was waiting for her was just this close. She was going to reach for it as far as she could until she got it. The was just Ren. 'Either way it goes I still get to see my big brother.' She saw her goal, and this was her only chance to get it. She knew how to make a stone, even though two boy had taught her equivalent exchange wasn't needed, she still needed this.

"Because you would know all about being a dog, wouldn't you." Ren said with a smirk. "I'm pretty sure you two aren't on your own. So who's pawn are you then tell me. I'm sure they would love my offer. "

"Ren Get away from him now. I can't let you work with those two. I am already helping you too much by not telling anyone your secret and if you do this I can't help you anymore and will have to invoke my power as a military dog as you call us and arrest you." Ace says worried that she would help them knowing how far she would go for the stone.

"Ah, wishes of the many. Granted to the few," the boy recited with a hint of reverence. It was something his creator, better known as his late father, once said.

One silver slashed eye darted to Ace, hearing his words, but deeming them unimportant to him. She was already too close to back away. One move and the boy before Ren would easily be able to kill her, whether she knew it or not. Re-focusing on Ren, Treachery let his smile fade away to a blank expression.

"I work for me, no one else. And I don't work for free," he replied. "Your offer, however seems like it may compensate me beyond what I had hoped."

Reaching in his pocket he pulled out a small rock the color of red amber. When he looked at her, his eyes were devoid of emotion and life. Unlike before when he acted falsely cheery and friendly, he seemed more true to himself when shedding all the pretenses of being human and feeling such emotions.

"This is only part of one stone. Just as useful as a whole, but since its broken we have more to spread around and play with," he explained, eyes never looking away from Ren. He wanted to make sure she knew what his end of the bargain contained, and to make sure the Alchemist behind her didn't try anything while her attention was elsewhere.

"However, I can't harness it without the use of alchemy. As you know, all homunculus are bound from doing so. So use alchemy on this stone to use as you wish. All I ask is that you activate two more afterwords. One for me and one for Sloth." His eyes searched hers for any sign of agreement. "Deal?"

(I bet you're all wondering what in the world was up with the prior preparations? The ones everyone forgot about on the stone slab? Well if everything goes right, you'll find out in a wee bit. lol >.< Evil, I know.)

"I'll need live humans to make the stone's won't I," Ren asked her eyes focused on the amber stone. If you had been watching it would have look as if Ren hadn't listened to a thing Treachery had been said, but Ren heard every single word. "Tell me where do you want me to get the humans, and I'll be gladly to make you your own stone."

She was going to get to see her brother again. Ren was going to be loved again, she was going to fix everything. Unlike the Elric brothers she was going to fix everything this time. 'The truth never set you free Ren.' The little voice in Ren's head told her, but she was already reaching for her brother.

'To think they wanted me to settle down in that stupid town. Look at me now, I'm getting my wish. Brother I'll be there soon just hold on, I'll come and get you soon.' Ren had closed her eye, but they where open now. They had told her to heal, but she had shut down. With no emotion's after the failed attempts to bring her own mother back, but she had been fully brought back, and when she tried to get her brother's soul attached to armor she had failed. She didn't know where their failed mother went, but Ren didn't care anymore.

Ace has stone surround Ren so that she could not be harmed as he pulls out a gun aiming it at Treachery "I can't allow you to do this and I will be taking the stones back to central for examination." Ace says thinking they are just fake stones like that the Elric Brothers would usually find."

Catching Treachery's glance, Sloth shot her hair out at Ace. Like a whip, her hair snapped on the back of his wrist, causing him to drop the gun. A second lock of hair shot out and wrapped around his throat, squeezing him until he began to turn blue in the face. A single strand of hair wrapped around his throat too, though this one was placed slightly higher on his exposed neck. It was pulled taunt, threatening to slit his throat like a knife.

"Quiet." Sloth said, moving to stand closer to the group. Something told her that this alchemist was going to mess everything up if he wasn't incapacitated. She kept her grip on him, waiting for the girl and Treachery to finish.

Ace uses his blade to cut the hair and roll out of the way into a defencive stance as Ace starts to play with a battery. "I win good try though." Ace says as he points to another battery behined sloth with embers around it. With that Ace snaps his fingers and a large bolt of electricity and fire engulf sloth which would encinerate and destroy almost anything.
