Jaiden managed to get back to being upbeat almost instantly, Jaiden had waited for Blaine to speak before allowing herself to speak. "Really though, if you'd like, I could show you my actual powers. They're actually not all that scary, unless you make them so. They're all based on you. Of course, that's only an offer, don't feel forced." She showed a catlike grin, seeming proud of her explanation, feeling her reassurance would be helpful for the kid. Oh, you really do not need to be sorry. I mean. Kaiden is absolutely the scarie-" Her speech was interrupted as her shadow seemed to hit itself in the side of the head, which caused Jaiden to turn her head as if she had been struck, quickly lifting a hand to a reddening mark on her cheek, "Ow, okay, okay.." She chuckled to herself raising a hand in the air in defeat, while her shadow stood with its hands on its hips.

The fact that Jaiden didn't lash out at him made Blaine really believe that Jaiden would be a good friend. Blaine only listened until Jaiden was done then began to think things through about what the other had told him. Was it a wise idea? Maybe Jaiden would be able to help him out. Nodding to himself he looked back to the kid in front of him. "If you can. I...ppromisse not to be a** sscared." After he spoke he went back to looking down. He was actually nervous about this that he even began to fidget in his seat but it wasn't too bad of a thing. His mind was at 'if he could control his powers he would be able to live his life more normal' kind of thing.
Taking a deep breath to calm his nerves before looking back at Jaiden. "I'm ready."

Jaiden smiled again, a hand reaching out, not to Blaine, but instead above him, "I need you to focus on one particular power you know you have. Think about how it would grow, consider what it could do when you're older. You have full control over which skill of yours is affected." With a reassuring smile, the air began to grow cold. The smoke that she had waved away seemed to return in from the openings everywhere, cabinets, under the couches, the vents, the ceiling, through the windows, a dark mist swirling down onto the ground, gathering at her feet, before condensing into small clouds that covered the floor around her, hiding it from sight.
"The spirits of the world and of the dead have heard your acceptance. They have come as I called, and shall grant you a boon." Jaiden's voice echoed, both her and Kaiden speaking at the same time, her smile gone as she spoke, "The only terms you must accept is that you may not use your powers to harm anyone, unless it is in self defense. If you break this term, then you shall lose the spirits blessing. Otherwise, you will maintained your strengthened state for sixty minutes. Do you agree to this term?" The colored mist around Jaiden would gather along her arm, and begin floating towards Blaine, as it awaited his answer.

The hand made him flinch but seeing that the other wasn't going to actually touch him he calmed himself a bit. Blaine made sure to listen to the other and began to think as he closed his eyes. The one power that came to mind, his deadly touch and how he hope to one day be in full control that even if he was touched or touched someone else they would be alright. The thought was making him cry. It was something he wanted greatly, to not harm others while being with them.
Taking a gulp he nodded. "Yess I agree," Blaine said, still closing his eyes as he continued to do what the other asked of him. He didn't want to mess it up.

The mist violently moved from Jaiden's out stretched arm, bits of the mist entering every opening exposed, ears, mouth, and nostrils. It was, however, insubstantial, and did not even leave a hint of wetness as it rushed into him. As the last bit of mist disappeared into him, Blaine could feel the rush inside of him, as his the poison touch grew more powerful.
"The contract is confirmed. You shall be strengthened for a period of one hour, or until you break the terms of our contract."
Jaiden blinked, holding her head as her expressions went back to normal, watching Blaine, waiting to see how it would affect him.

He could feel something weird enter him which scared him but he dare not move nor open his eyes. It was a little hard to keep focused but he tried his best. Shivering and nearly crying as the odd feeling in his body but the moment he felt the rush his eyes popped open wide as Blaine jumped and fell back with a scared look on his face. Heart raced as he wondered what had just happened, well he knew what was happening but he wondered why he felt the strange rush. Was he suppose to feel that? Looking to Jaiden for a moment Blaine then sat up as he brought up his hands and looked to them as they shock. Could he now control his power more? Would he be able to touch someone for the short amount of time that he had? He didn't know, he only kept staring at his hands as he wondered.

"Mhm. Well." Jaiden scooted away from Blaine, letting himself fall back onto a couch that was out of his reach. "I have no idea what you can do now, but I suppose I should hope you have fun with it." She laughed softly, staring at him, "Remember that if you hurt someone, it'll go away. So... try not to do that." She nodded sagely, as if that was the best advice that could possibly be given, "And if it works, I wouldn't mind a gift or two in exchange for the service." She winked at him, her hands going into her pockets, pulling out a golden pocket watch, "You might want to get a move on though. Limited amount of time to do any huggin' or whatever you want."

Finally looking at Jaiden, Blaine just stared before it finally hit him. He could possibly touch someone without hurting. Then the thought made him absolutely happy, filling him with excitement. Without a second thought he rushed on forward to Jaiden and hugged them, trying hard to control his power. It seemed to work or at least he thought so. "Thank you," he said before he release the other and turn to run off or tried to since he ended up tripping on a rug. A little embarrassed he stood up and dusted himself off before he ran out the door.
