Alright! So, our show is almost done being designed (part four drill is still being written, 'cause we had a lot of problems with the transition from our ballad). The tile is "The museum will be closing in...", part 1 music is based off of Hajnal by Venitian Snares, part 2 is...something. I don't remember. xd Part 3 is Bella's Lullaby, and Part 4 is based off of Concerto for Soprano Sax. I have a solo in part 3 on soprano sax, and apparently I'm ending the show with another solo on it, too. :]

Funny thing is, I think Part 1 of our show has a Concerto for Soprano Sax in it too. Our show is called "The Web We Weave". So far it's pretty cool, but I don't like the way our music to Part III is just a higher, faster version of Part I. The beginning of our show is gonna be all choreography (sp?), but we haven't learned any of it yet.

Im trying to convince the bd to do Little Shop of Horrors for 2011. But one of my favorites is one I saw on saturday. It was a pirate theme, with a boat that moves and a (pathetic) swordfight on said boat. What pirate wields their sabre two handed?

our show is called "the artist defined" it's about 3 different art forms, the opener is about painting, ballad is dancing, & the closer is about literature, we are playing all Beethoven music. our show starts w/the band scattered & then we move into concert arcs during the 4 count part of a prep & the we blast the beethoven's 5th at you. in our opener the guard is pretending to paint pollock style on an old indoor floor, in the ballad a guard member is acting a martha gram & in the closer a lucky guard member gets to stand on a writing desk. there are a ton of solos (mostly in the ballad & all very short, mine's 1 measure). then at the end of the show we're in concert arcs & the a guard member (the drum majors boyfriend) conducts the band to the end.

My band's half time show this year was called Colors. Can you guess why? wink Our first song contains tidbits from the songs "True Colors," "Black or White," and "Pretty Fly for a White Guy." Our second song is a combination of "Yellow Polka Dot Bikini" and "Brown-eyed Girl." In song two we do this awesome singing part. The 'sha la la la" part in Brown-Eyed Girl. Song three we played "So What" by Pink and "I Gotta Feelin' " by Black-Eyed Peas, and then a return to "True Colors" in the end. It was pretty cool, I suppose. I was desperately wanting a Disney or Phantom of the Opera show or something along those lines before I graduated. I will never get it. crying
