All Knowing | All Powerful | Really Annoying at Times...
Examining the pedestal, you saw the kanji 'rai' which menas lightning inscribed on top. Batting the kunai away effortlessly, Ton continued his pursuit before Reitenmaru released the mud river, forcing him to slow his advance. The young Genin had now performed at least a dozen jutsu, if not more...several of them rather high rank for his level. Ton would have figured his chakra would soon be depleted and wondered if the effects of his Curse Seal would ever end.
Leaping to the side, Ton sent another barrage of crescent chakra blade arcs towards Reitenmaru and Kai as an incentive to keep them moving.

I love fighting... Reitenmaru Senjuu Genin | Leaf | Mokuton  Reitenmaru watched as Ton approached, but before the river happened. He carefully pushed Kai back, he was actually starting to understand the Puzzle. As long as Ton would push them either side, it would happen to be a hint. He continued forth towards the other pedestal, while on his way, tapping Kai's shoulder twice, signifying for him to move. He rushed to the other pedestal, and looked if it had any kanji on it. But, even if he needed to go all out in chakra, he would still reserve chakra for a last Jutsu in that day.

Assassin | Sharingan | Bloody Mist Kai rolled to the side when Reitenmaru pushed him, narrowly avoiding the flying chakra blades. Looking at the pedestal Kai had a sudden realization, he's still trying to keep us away! Kai quickly performed several hand-seals then cried out, "Nagare Isou no Jutsu!" Electricity began to arc around Kai's hand as he reached towards the pedestal and transferred the electric current directly into the it."Only through struggle can we grow."

As Reitenmaru ran, he was able to dodge the chakra blades and reach the column easily. On this column, there were actually two kanji... 'do' meaning earth and 'sui' meaning water. Ton immediately charged at Reitenmaru, ignoring Kai for time as his blades flew towards him, but was soon interrupted in his assault by Kai's incantation.
As soon as the lightning left his finger to enter the column, the jutsu was immediately absorbed, lighting the pedestal up instantly as the "Rai" kanji began to glow a bright yellow. Without an instant's hesitation, a beam of yellow whip-like energy shot out of the column towards Ton, wrapping itself around his waist, stopping him short as he was bound to the pedestal by the glowing yellow tether. Immediately, the aura that had engulfed him was dismissed and the sigil on his arm ceased to glow.

Assassin | Sharingan | Bloody Mist Kai's eyes widened as he realized what they needed to do. He looked over to wear Kurocku was still standing by the first pedestal and shouted, "Fire! Use fire on the pedestal!""Only through struggle can we grow."

The fire from the Kurocku's jutsu began to be sucked up by Ton's chakra blade's Man what a pain. Kurocku made a sour face at Ton, as the thought pass through his mind. Reitenmaru began to to assault Ton giving Kurocku the chance to scramble to his feet. The adrenaline pumping through Kurocku's ceins unable to move the young genin watched as his brother Uchiha attacked the pedestal. The destruction of the pedestal gave away Ton's weakness, feeling his body being able to move again Kurocku heard the order barked out by Kai. Kurocku made his hand seals going through the same motions of any ordenary jutsu "Housenka no Jutsu," he called out shooting several blast of fire at the pedestal.

Reitenmaru smiled, he was under the the column, reading the kanji. He started performing hand seals. " Uo Tsuba (Fish Spit) " he said first, as he spit the water to the column. Then, he performed another set of hand seals. "Kajuu No Doro (Mud Weights)" he said, as two mud balls shot at the column. He wasnt sure if he needed to combine the two, forming wood, but still gave a try, if nothing happened, he would use Mokuton.

As soon as the fire technique struck the pedestal, the jutsu was immediately absorbed, lighting up the "ka" kanji, whi9ch began to glow a bright red. Without an instant's hesitation, a beam of red whip-like energy shot out of the column towards Ton, wrapping itself around his upper bodyand arms, pinning his arms to his body, disabling any ability for him to use jutsu.
Reitenmaru's techniques were both absorbed by the pedestal, but the kanji only illuminated briefly with a soft glow before disappearing.

He held his sword at the ready to block any attack that Ton through at him, in case the bindings weren't as secure as he thought."Only through struggle can we grow."

Ton didn't like Cobra's little trial at this point and he liked it even less that he felt almost helpless. As the Genin approached from behind, he was not yet ready to give up however, even if he only had his legs left. pushing his body forward a bit, he felt that the energy strands were somewhat elastic in nature. Though he couldn't move forward by much, or side to side, he imagined that they would allow him to at the very least move forward and flip in place.
As Kai reached for the scroll, Ton pushed backwards, flipping over the energy cords as he was able to bring his right leg down on the Genin's arm, pushing it down as he brought his left foot across in a strike towards Kai's face.

Reitenmaru performed hand seals swiftly, he was surprised, so he needed to put Mokuton in the Column. "Jubaku no Jutsu" Reitenmaru said, Wood emerging from the ground and helping to be restrained. Reitenmaru rushed at Ton, bringing his right leg up, and trying to kick Ton near the face, his wood hand grew in length, and went towards the scroll and grab it.

Kurocku watched as the pedestal released some kind of energy, before he could do it Kaiwas already attempting to grab the scroll. The moment that Reitenmaru rushed in Kurocku did the same. Being a simple method of bum rushing the jounin might actually work. Kurocku's feet kicked up a small cloud of dirt, gaining speed his eyes fixed upon the scroll hoilster that would end this exam. Out of the corner of his eye Kurocku saw that Reitenmaru was reaching for the scroll. Awwwww screw it. He moaned internally still approaching the jounin. As he drew near, Kurocku lunged for Ton's legs in the attemt to lock his body around ton's legs.

As Reitenmaru released the wood technique around the column, it was instantly absorbed into the stone as the kanji began to glow a bright brown color, which shot out of the pedestal in the form of a brown energy whip which wrapped itself around Ton's legs as he was in the process of attacking Kai, restraining him upside down and unable to move. "Oh man... Inferno better not be watching this..." at this point, as soon as Reitenmaru and Kurocku tried to attack Ton, when their attacks were about to touch him, a shield of unseen force stopped their attack mere millimeters from Ton's body.
Once recovering from this oddity, Reitenmaru was able to grab the scroll, and once he did several very large clanging noises were heard as the cavern around them began to echo sounds of moving joints, with large bangs and noises that sounded like latches being undone as if something was being pulled apart. In an instant, the ceiling of the cave fell, dropping over 90 feet from the air, before stopping abruptly less then 5 feet above the group's heads. After another few seconds, the walls closed in as well, crushing the pedestals as they passed, releasing Ton from the binds, as he quickly caught himself from falling by catching himself in a hand stand, before pushing off on the ground to flip in the air and land on his feet. Stuck in a box now, the lights then suddenly went out as a large amount of shifting could be heard, as if they were being buried by pounds of dirt dropped from the sky.
The group then felt a sudden upwards movement as it felt like they were being lifted up high into the air. It was completely dark from a while, but you suddenly saw a bright blue light glowing in the shape of the familiar dragon tattoo as Ton's tattoo began to emit enough light by way of the to illuminate the small sphere they were within. "Master Cobra is having fun I see. He tends to get a little too into stuff like this and loves to play tricks on people and scare them. Good work, in general, even if you were a little slow to figure out that it wasn't about combat. Don't feel too bad though. Very few people figure out the easy way. No sooner had Ton finished speaking then the movement suddenly halted, jarring everyone for a second before they heard muffled cheers. The dome of earth they were encased within then dissolved from around them, falling to the ground and sinking into the earth as they found themselves in the middle of the arena, surrounded by the screams of the crowd. Looking around quickly, Cobra could be seen speaking with a woman who quickly turned and ran to Outou, having noted her wounds, and immediately began to heal her.
Cobra could be seen talking to another group that apparently had just arrived as well, but on seeing you, he turned with a smile, "Ah, so close together these two... Congratulations Team 2! You were the fourth team to complete Phase 2! If you have any questions about the test, please let me know... it will be ending soon."
