((All righty! Let's get this thing moving again! One thing, though. I thought of names for the gods of Rodicia. ^^ I'll post them on my first post after the profiles post so everyone can see them.)) Later that night... Aki sat under a tree, a little away from the camp they had set up, but still in sight of the others, his thoughts preoccupied.((Um...This is a pretty bad post, but whatever.))

Bjorn sat up, near the fire. He was characteristically quiet, the only sound being the rasping of a whetstone against his blade. After a long moment of this rhythmic rasping it stopped, replaced now by almost total silence. He put the stone back in his pack and pulled out a cloth, cleaning off the blade and examining his reflection in the flickering firelight.

Laptus Borielle Azure Warrior/Mage/"Speak or Spells"/'Thoughts'/ Actions/Describing "My prayers go up to Bevaita..." The fire in the middle of the camp crackled merrily. It's warmth spread over the camp like a comforting blanket. A breeze flowed through the camp, causing the fire to flicker here and there. Crickets chirping their hypnotic melodies to the unknown crowd. Laptus' brain was now overflowing with theories and postulates regarding the current stuation, but he ignored the thought. Watching the others set up camp, he decided to set up his own. "Risa un blelnr menotuwar" he mumbled flicking his wrist. His pack began to unfold and tarps with other equipment glided to an empty spot and began to make a tent by itself. Magic was always his weak spot his instuctor told him. 'You are too careless when you use magic! Use the wrong word and you may as well die!' He smiled as his energy ebbed at the exspence of the spell. "Yes I know..." he quietly whispered. The others began to start eating, so he slowly moved toward the fire, hoping to gather more warmth. There he gazed into the fire lost in the crickets endless symphony... "And may my heart bleed for you..."

Franken Stein and Maka Chaka (Or Shanton and Marion Harding) He is all... Such an irritant...
Maka shifted her weight to one foot, then the other. She held her hands behind her back, and her eyes glanced around the room nervously, never quite meeting the doctor's gaze. She heard the impatient tapping of a foot. She knew it was the doctor's. She swallowed.
"U-um...doctor, this is, ehm...Eric. He, uh, wants to, um..."
Stein's eyes narrowed, giving Maka the impression of a bored cat, the type that makes you feel very uncomfortable. She swallowed again, trying to moisten her dry throat and mouth. She hadn't really thought about this when she had told Eric he could be a part of the famoorii. She'd forgotten that the doctor really, really didn't like people, as a general rule, and inviting another one into their...no, HIS home, which she was leeching off of him like some...some... some leech, was just downright disrespectful. Not to mention, it was a man who, all too recently, had defended the doctor's least-favorite person, the old king. She fiddled with her fingers behind her back and cast her eyes down, digging a small hole in the dirt with her toe. If only it were bigger, and she could hide in it...
"He...he..." Better say it fast. If everything Maka wanted to say came out at once, maybe this would be less awkward. "Hewantstobeapartofourfamoorii!" She closed her eyes and confessed. The hole her toe was making was bigger, as she had begun to grind her heel into it to make it so.
Stein looked completely unshaken by the sudden explanation, save for slightly widened eyes, that might have come about from shock. However, it was probably his eyes just getting tired of being narrowed. His arms, which had been crossed in front of his chest in a very parent-like way, returned to his sides, his hands sliding into his pockets. He blew out, the embers on his cigarette glowing slightly before returning to their usual ashen gray color. When he finally spoke, it was in a normal, calm tone. "Did you just say 'famoorii'?"
Maka, expecting something angrier, blinked in confusion. "Er...yes...?"
The slap came suddenly, and it stung. Across Maka's face, turning her head to face the dying grass across the road. She vaguely heard her uncle's voice instructing her. "Now, spit on the ground three times." Maka complied silently. "Now, say 'family'."
"Family." Maka's eyes widened, and her gaze returned to Stein. "I can say it! I can say 'family'! Doctor, you're amazing!"
"Not really." Really, it had been a trick of the psyche. Because Stein had instructed her to do something to do with 'cleaning the mouth', Maka had thought it would work, and thus, it worked. Nothing truly special. "As for your question, sure he can stay. This house is too quiet. Besides, don't you need an older brother?" Stein shrugged, then turned to Eric, ignoring Maka's cries of happiness at getting the doctor to bend to her will. He held out his hand as if for a handshake. "Doctor Franken Stein, at your service. Just Stein, if you would. And you are...?" I have left.
I wanna dissect you.

sitting up in a tree, she sat with her arm resting across her lap, and her hair draping over her shoulder. she watched the others set up camp, she sighed slightly and looked up to the sky and began humming a soft mellow tune.

Hana looked at James, who was sitting in silence, just staring at the flames. "James, you don't have to come with us. Things will get a lot more dangerous than they were before. The enemy isn't bandits. They're trained soldiers," she told him. "I know...But I want to come," James said. After a few moments of silence, he said, "Did I ever tell you the real reason my mom left me with you?" Hana looked confused. "No." "Well, my brothers were both in the Faren army. I, on the other hand, was too afraid to join the army. My brothers were killed in the attack on the castle. My mom was proud of them for having sacrificed their lives for Faren, even though Faren still fell. But she wasn't too proud of me. She left me with you guys because she was embarrassed to have such a cowardly son." "But you were only thirteen. You couldn't have been expected to join the army at that young age," Hana said. "How old were you when you joined the army?" James asked. "Sixteen, but that was because I was exceptionally gifted with the use of chi since a young age. If I hadn't been that gifted, I would have waited a bit longer before joining," Hana answered. Now it was James' turn to look confused. "Gifted with chi since a young age? But I thought it took people years before they could even do small things with chi." "It normally does. I'm not sure why I was able to manipulate it so easily, but I was. To be honest, I think it kind of scared my parents," Hana said.

"Your parents, were they scared, were not the only ones scared by your powers." Bjorn said quietly, looking over at Hana with a small grin on his face. "Enemies quaked in fear of your attacks...because it was different than magic, and just as ethereal." he explained.

Laptus Borielle Azure Warrior/Mage/"Speak or Spells"/'Thoughts'/ Actions/Describing "My prayers go up to Bevaita..." Laptus' eye wandered toward a nearby tree. The guy known as Aki as he figured out, was sitting solemly by himself. He seemd to be thinking about something. 'I wonder....could it be him?'. He could have peered into his heart if he wanted to, but he deemed it to be unwise. He glanced at Selina and felt the scar that he now just found on his neak. "'Yes most unwise' However it wouldn't hurt to get to know him. He slowly got up and walked toward Aki. He sat next to him as Selina, who was up in a nearby tree, said "You okay down there..?". Laptus echoed the same question. "You seemed troubled. I know you barely know me but I've learned that talking about things helps one find peace in themselves" As he waited for a reply he couldn't bear the suspence. 'Please forgive me.' He opened his mind to search Aki's heart. He tread carefully so that Aki would not notice this intrusion. The same pangs of pain attacked his head along with the same voice, only now more clear and vibrant. 'Big Brother!' a pause then a new voice emerged 'Don't cry Alice....It's going to be alrig-' At that moment, he severed the connection. If he went any further Aki would notice. He looked at Aki to notice he was looking at him, there Laptus sat waiting for Aki's answer. "And may my heart bleed for you" Art©http://lolitea.deviantart.com/

Hana couldn't help a small smile. "And just as deadly."
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Looking from one person to the next, Aki answered the question they both people asked. "I'm fine. Just thinking."

she caught laptus coming over from the corner of her eye,
She leaned back against the truck on the tree.
now fiddling with a bit of her hair. "well don't hurt yourself" she said playfully, trying to lighten his mood.
