"Ugh..." She scowled, "Ignore me why don't you?" This hot-headed blonde didn't like to be brushed off, not a bit, and she wasn't afraid to show it either. Walking away in a hurry, she left Lake to go search for supplies in the local shops. They needed food, clothes, tools and weapons too, probably.
It didn't take Dahlia long to finish her shopping and make her way back to the ship. She strode up the gangway with a load of shopping bags, paused when she spotted the rather... strong looking guy, and raised a thin brow, "Who's the muscle?"

"James Uac is the guy I call my enemy", he revealed, unaware that this boy may be related somehow. He frowned, "For the bounty of this pirate, he left me and m' mom alone, to help us get some money, like a man should do. He's the one that made my life tough from the start." From the stance and the scowl, he clearly wasn't backing down on this. It would be hard to figure out exactly what his life had been like until now, but he clearly had a thing against the "Uac" name, the kind of thing that wasn't going to dissapear with a kind word or two.
When the girl asked about him, he nodded, pointing proudly to his chest, "I'm Franklin Armando, son of Armando the Axe." Though his gruff nature and somewhat grumpy look were apparent, he was oddly polite. All part of his beliefs on what a real man should be, hammered into him by none other than his older brother, the notoriously superficial and judgmental Luigi Armando.

"Tell me kid, what does this James have to do with you and your mom?" Jerome asked now getting curious on the relationship between his father and whoever this kid was.

"That guy sunk my dad's ship at sea, leaving my mom alone to take care of me and my big bro. Years later, when Lou is ten, he decides to get revenge on James, and bring the bounty home, leaving with the Navy before anyone could stop him", Cliff took a seat cross-legged on the ground, going on, "I was left the man of the family, 'n my mom --Bless her soul-- tried and tried to provide 'till the day she couldn't move another inch. That's why his name is my enemy." He gave a firm nod, as if to put a closing on his words, and to say that he was finished.
ooc// By the way, changing their names and ages. Felt like it suited them more...

Kai ran back to the happily. She was incredible happy with what she'd brought. When she'd seen it she couldn't help but thing about her uncle and buy it. As she came up walking up the deck she now had a stuff animal bear backpack, a loin hat, and a pair of tiger gloves and shoes on. She laughed singing, "Lions and tigers and bears oh my."

"I'm sorry..." Jerome apologize. He always had a habit to take the blame for others. "Punish me as I am a Lanam, Jerome Lanam, punish me for my father's sin though it won't possibly be enough to what he put you through."

Fixing the goggles atop her head into a more comfortable position, she gave Cliff a quick look over, as if she could figure out what kind of guy he was. "Dahlia Thorne, daughter of that's all you need to know." She replied in her usual witty tone, then gave both boys a toodle-loo wave of her fingers before disappearing into the hull.
She put all the food up in their specific cupboards, put the weapons in storage, layed out everyone's spare clothes in their room, and finally returned to the deck.

For a second, Cliff still scowled, but soon grinned, unfolding his arms, "I like your style, Jerome. You've got a manly heart, willing to accept another's pain." He laughed, "Tell you what, you can repay your debt by getting me out of this town and its bad memories. I'll even work on your ship, since I am a carpenter 'n all. He stood up, and told him, "Just give me a second to say goodbye to mom and dad, and I'll keep your ship in full order." Cliff was a rare kind of guy, able to go from enemy to friend in a second, for what seemed like no reason at all. Still, for a heart like that, one had to give the lug some credit.
In just a few minutes, not waiting for an answer, Cliff was down at the gravesite of his parents, just behind his home. He muttered, looking down at them both, "I'm going to go be a man now, like you said. I figure it's time to forgive those Lanams, since the one I met wasn't half bad." With a melancholy smile, he stood for a minute, and went to grab his tool kit, not thinking for a second that the pirates would go without him, or go against his wishes. Truth be told, Cliff was just extremely trusting like that, or at least he didn't think enough to realize the alternative.

"Then welcome aboard" Jerome smiled as he turned his head toward Dahli. "What's bothering you this time Doll?"

Tool kit in hand, Cliff started back for the ship, not too far away since he lived close enough to the docks to be an effective repairman. He stepped aboard the vessel armed with his tool kit, already checking for any repairs that would need to be done before they were operational. He called to Jerome, "We're rivals now, so don't forget my challenge. As a man, I won't let you free just yet."

Swiveling on her heel, she gave Jerome a funny look, "Nothing Jerry." The girl wore an obviously fake smile. Jerome knew better than this, didn't he? He should know by know just how fast Dahlia's mood would turn sour over the lightest thing. For example: Being called Doll. "I'm perfectly fine, but call me Doll again, and I'll have to hurt you.."
She knew very well she probably couldn't hurt him, but that really didn't mean anything. Her mood seemed to flip once again, as a cute smile spread on her lips, "Okay?" (( I thought we needed a bi-polarish character. Ta-dah! xD ))

"Alright my rival, first order of business is the galley is making this strange creaking sound everytime we go in there so can you please fix it?" He said with a smile and turned to Dahli yet again. "Alright Doll I understand" He teased as he ran to no where in particular even though he knew Dahli will catch him eventually.

"Hey!" She screeched angrily, chasing after Jerome like a cat does a mouse. They often had these little exhanges, even as kids when Dahlia finally started growing into her own person. Lake and Jerome would find a way to tease her, she would get angry, she'd hit them, that is how it had always been.

Cliff got to work, routinely going over the boards and replacing what needed to be replaced. He'd have to go deeper than this if the problem got worse, but he trusted that the loose timber causing the creak were the only real problem at the time. In a short while, he'd be satisfied with his work.
