Ebony could plan and plan and plan. She could plan all she liked to stop Scarlet from attacking her and beating her, but it wouldn't really matter.
Not when a gigantic, hand-like wing smashed across her body and sent her hurtling through the air.
The action was just as quickly followed by one strong, massive flap of the Lugia's wings churned the air, causing the entirety of the cathedral to rattle under the force of the winds. Almost immediately, a sheet of rain came crashing down onto the Cathedral's ceiling in perfect unison before dropping to a small and subtle thud.
"Enough!" The Lugia took a quick glance at both parties before quietly muttering. "Calm the hell down Scarlet."
He'd restrain the Flygon with psychic if he needed to. She wasn't going anywhere whether or not she wanted to.
Desmond turned towards the crash site of the Lopunny and began shouting his warning.
"Leave! Killing you might be dangerous, but stay a moment longer and I'll snap those little twigs you call arms and legs."
It was a dangerous threat and it was one he could easily follow up on. Lugia used psychic for convenience... their real power was much more primal in nature.

Scarlet
Desmond's entrance was quickly met with surprise and then just as quickly anger. Scarlet was a sweet Pokemon, generally if her temper ever did show it was kept well under control,but her only response to the Lugia was a angry squawk-like sound in his direction. She had everything under control! How dare he just show up and let....and let this horrid creature walk away!
She was usually against killing as a method of solving ones problems but tis Lopunny was just-she was just so vicious. How could anyone be so cruel? Scarlet flicked her tail and paced angrily as he addressed Ebony, the Flygon was trying very hard to restrain the urge to rush over and take a bite out of the rabbit's neck, but she couldn't do so with Desmond there anyways. For whatever reason, the Lopunny was needed alive apparently.
Grudgingly she awaited Ebony's answer, but if it were the wrong one she'd do the leg breaking before the Lugia even had the chance.
Arceus, where was Barcel when she needed him. It was usually his voice of reason she'd listen to. The Empoleon was brash at times but held a very stable calm in such situations. She missed him and maybe that was one of the reasons she reacted so badly to the rabbit.

 EbonyEbony didn't have the time to cry out, before she was partially buried in a pile of heavy rubble. She was lucky to be alive after such a strike, and she knew it well. If she had landed another foot in any direction from where she lay now, she would be dead. Crushed to death beneath the ruins of a cathedral did not sound a pleasant way to go.
Crimson eyes narrowed dangerously, staring hard at the larger being. "As it happens, I was already leaving," she hissed furiously. Slipping her weary, injured form out of the rocks, she rose to her feet. Her chin was tilted up, and her shoulders were thrown back. Proud and defiant. "Keep your pet in line."
She walked out on her own, blasting the doors open with a swift Dark Pulse, and striding into the sunlight.
As the first rays hit her dark fur, she seemed to evaporate into thin air. She felt the familiar cool of the shadows, happy to be back where she belonged. She didn't leave immediately, taking the opportunity to get a good look at the Lugia who'd struck her down. As it happened, she had a lot of training to do, anyway. It would only take a few minor adjustments to her routine, if she wanted to combine a few Dark and Electric-type techniques.
If her father was to succeed, this Lugia would have to fall. He was too powerful an ally to the Guilds, for her to allow his survival. In any case, Darkrai would hear of this as soon as she could reach him.
The shadowed Lopunny was gone in the blink of an eye.

Desmond watched the Lopunny blast the door open and walk out. He kept a careful eye on both women through psychic. He could track their movements easily... if Scarlet tried to give chase it wouldn't work the best and if Ebony tried to do a u-turn to kill them he'd make good on his threat. He would be all to happy to snap her little arms and legs before delivering her back to the guilds.
Luckily enough for all parties involved, the insane little brat was smart enough to take her leave and Desmond relaxed the psychic watch he had.
"You're lucky. She would have ripped you apart... that was Creaus you were fighting."
Desmond was a little bit angry with Scarlet and his voice reflected that. He didn't care that she went off to fight Creaus. She couldn't have known that. What he did care about is the fact that she went off completely on her own with absolutely no warning to fight someone that was part of an army that vastly outclassed her in strength.
She could have (and SHOULD have) been very easily killed and the act only served to make his life harder.

Scarlet watched with some disdain as the Lopunny made her exit and she turned to face Desmond with a frown until he spoke. So, that was Creaus? Interesting. She'd expected a bit...more.
The Flygon stretched her wings out slowly before folding them back behind her with a wince. Her back ached, she could still feel the ice that had frozen over her wound crack as she shifted. The dragon shook her head once before turning away towards the door.
"Apologies, but all the same..." Scarlet took a moment to choose her next words, "...I don't regret my choice. May have been spurned by anger, but she'll not forget me any time soon." It was over now, no need to continue stressing over it. She'd be more careful but...
"...my dying wouldn't have mattered anyways, if anything it'd have helped you." Barcel would have stopped at nothing to avenge her. They'd gain themselves a ruthlessly determined ally.
With nothing further to say she trotted out the destroyed door.

"Barcel's role is to make the shield. Nothing else. No amount of 'motivation' will help him do that."
It was obvious enough that that's what she was suggesting. He didn't really care.
Desmond blinked out and reappeared in front of Scarlet, blocking her path and very clearly forcing her to listen.
"There's two people that can keep that kid safe and sane. You're one of them. The other one has a hell of a lot more important things to do than keep him happy."
To put it more plainly, Scarlet wasn't important because of the fact that she could fight or her relation to Barcel. Not at all.
What made Scarlet important and useful was the fact that, so long as she remained, Tolin needn't focus on Alfred. He had other things he needed to do.
Desmond put a wing around Scarlet to grab a hold of her in preparation for a quick teleport to the entrance of the Infirmary.
"Now, we're going to go. You're going to get stitched back together. And then you're going to keep an eye on Alfred."
It wasn't so much a request as it was a command but either way the two disappeared into thin air, leaving only the slight drip of rain behind.
