“Um Mr. Dravon sir, you can’t go in there! Governor Trufeld is on the comm. link!” The secretary stammered as Leowen grumbled, pushing past her, sending her sprawling to the floor. It was at that time that the security guards emerged from the proceeding hall, the red dots of targeting lasers dancing across Leowen’s face. At the same moment a shotgun in each of his steady hands was aimed at the group of guards. It was at that moment when the frosted glass doors of the presidential suite on the White Phantom slid open and Locke strode out, as annoyingly prim and proper as ever, it was no wonder he and pretty-boy Fedelki got together so well. Pathetic. With a wave of his hand, Locke’s guards lowered their weapons and marched back to their positions like the military dogs they were. As Locke held out his hand to the fallen secretary, Leowen barked “Listen, I’m making a run to Grand Vanguard in order to get the new mechs Cypher ordered. You better damn well make sure you’re customs department doesn’t slow me down for weapon transport or there will be hell to pay. Understand?”

Locke: Pulling the secretary back on her feet, he hands her a chip and whispers into her ear as she slowly brings her glasses back on with her shakey hands. She lurched down the hall against the wall quickly, trying to keep an eye on Leowen without looking directly at him in fear.

"I thought chivalry was the main principle of a knight.. ? Then again, that wouldn't be much like you, Leowen."

A stoical smile on his face seemed to ease the tension among the guards and the other crews on board, lured by the racket.

"So our army will be equipped with some of your machines? I'll be looking forward to the results. Also, I'll let the cargo transports and scan patrols know about this transaction. I'll also send you some credits to your account for whatever you'd like to use them for. Whether to use them on escorts for getting those transports done or for some new toys, it's up to you. Anyway, I'll be leaving now from the Axis for a while. I have to go deliver an invitation to this party to our neighbors."

With that said, he makes his way to the exit, back to the Aqua Valiance, while his phoenix pet trails after him in the air, flying past Leowen from above.

"Fine." Hah, chilvalry, a dead habit of those too weak to face the truth about life. Turning and pacing towards door, looked back at the secretary, his gaze softened before storming out of the room.

Leaving at a time like this, what an idiot. Pulling himself up into the cockpit of the Fortuna carrier ship. Just a damn kid, he's gonna get himself killed on this vacation. Typing in the codes for dock release, shaking his head Not my problem, all that matters right now is I'm going ot mkae a huge profit off of this transaction. "You're Clear to Launch Fortuna" Plotting the course to Grand Vanguard, the ship disengaged from the dock, throttle to 100%, Leowen smiled and left Mithril Legion far behind.

Lt. Col. Manas exhaled is he saw the Fortuna leave the base. As he eyed the marvelous heavens before him, he began to think about his family and what they could be doing. He had left so suddenly; he only hoped his letter had arrived to them just last week. Having decide it was about time to do something productive for the day, he left the viewing platform and walked down the corridor from whence he came.

This is the part of command they never tell you about, Ander thought dryly as he thumbed his datapad through the roster of newly transferred crewmembers. Well, I guess you can't be a commander if you don't know who you're commanding...what's this? Ander paused with the screen displaying the words "LT COL MANAS-SPEC OP". Ander quickly queued up a list of all the new ranked officers and discovered that Manas was the highest ranked of the newcomers, as well as the only one with the "SPEC OP" designation. Well, if a special-operations colonel has been assigned to the Mythril Legion, I'll have to meet him...and find out why he was transferred here. Ander keyed his computer for Colonel Manas' location, then headed towards the observation level.

Ander sensed Manas' presence a few decks away on the descending lift, and noticed that he was coming up the corridor towards the lift tubes. Perfect. This saves me the trouble of tracking him down. The lift stopped, opening its doors to the observation level and admitting a preoccupied looking man who Ander knew from his file to be Lt. Colonel Manas. Ander briefly considered waiting to see if Manas recognized him, then dismissed the idea. I've been here barely longer than he has, really. Can't expect him to know who I am when half the command crew still doesn't know what I even look like..."Lieutenant Colonel Kainen Manas? I am Ander Cypher, commander of the Mythril Legion." Ander smiled slightly. "Welcome to my ship."

Kainen, caught off guard a little bit by the commander, offered his hand for a handshake. He could feel a certain sense of let's see... wisdom eminating from the man in front of him. So, this is the Governor-General of the Mythril Legion... interesting... it seems he does have as much knowledge as I overheard the others saying, seeing as how found me here; not many people know I come down here... So, what is it that you desire of me, Governor-General?

Ander shook the offered hand and raised an eyebrow at Kainen's response. Such formality, even if I am his commanding officer...interesting. And unexpected. "Desire, Lt. Colonel?" Ander asked as he lightly probed Kainen's thoughts, releasing the handshake, "Nothing but your continued service to the Vanguardian military." He paused at the confused look on Manas' face. Maybe that was a little vague, but he is certainly capable... "I have only been commander of this station for a short time," he said as he keyed the lift to bring them to the command deck, sensing Kainen's unease, "I know roughly the capabilities of this station and her crew, but if we are to counter the Renegades effectively I need to know exactly what they are capable of." Perhaps now is the time to test that capability... Ander nodded in Kainen's direction. "That's where you come in, Lt. Colonel. I know from your file that you have special operations experience." Ander produced a datapad and handed it to Kainen. "In there you will find a list of individuals who I have selected for their various attributes that would contribute to a special operations team. If you are willing, I would like you to assemble and lead a 12-man elite squadron for me. There is also a list of new equipment that I have ordered with which to equip said squadron." Kainen accepted the datapad with a questioning look at Ander, who gave him another slight smile. "I do not intend to allow the Renegades to get the drop on us again." The smile faded as Ander looked out the lift's window at the main hangar bay below. "Next time," he said quietly, "we'll have more than just a few Zakus with which to retaliate." The lift gave a chime as it arrived back at the level of the command deck. Ander turned to face Kainen. "So, Lt. Colonel Manas, will you accept this command?"
