Terry nodded and pick a finger to his lips. "Shh. The story isn't quite over yet." He then continued. "As the years went on, the elder brother started to crave intimacy. But he couldn't do such a thing with his younger brother. And thus, he would sneak out every few nights and visit single women who accepted him, much like his father did. One day though, he found a woman he wanted to keep. He brought her back to the brother's cabin. The younger was totally against it, not to mention hurt that his brother didn't consult him. But the three started living together regardless." He gave a heavy sigh. "The younger brother never like the woman. He always felt somethign was off with her. And he was proven right. She had sent message of the brothers' cabin to her village. The men then came to kill them both. The brother fought with all he had. But in the end, he ended up dying. The spear absorbed his will, though, and flew back to the younger, and in the younger's hands, he was able to defeat all the villagers that came."

Terry shook his head. "Not exactly, just his will to protect me." He looked up. "Huh? What are you sorry about?"

Terry was slightly shocked at Kenshin's words. He let him self be hugged in silence. "You're...I shouldn't have, but I did." He was a soft smile. "Now, it's just another story of my past..." He looked at Kenshin. "I don't like being pitied, but hearing such words from you, make me feel a bit happier."

"Oh? That what would you call it?" Terry asked, curious to hear the half-daemon's answer. He gently stroked Kenshin's hair.

"Caring, huh? Haven't that for a while... Heh, thanks, Kenshin." Terry said with a smirk.

Terry laughed. "Oh really? What happened to all those yawns you had not too long ago?"

Terry gave a deep chuckle. "It'll take more than that to convince Kenshin." He tilted his head to the side. "Besides, I have work to do. Just because it's night doesn't mean my work is done." He ruffled Kenshin's hair.
