Raiden smiled at Tzeitel. "Nope, you're awake." He made a motion to pinch her before behaving himself. The teen held out the flask of water before frowning. "Well....we made it out." He finally replied before looking back up at her, "You did great too, but got a knock on your head there." He looked at his sister and Aaron before looking back up at the stars, "But let's not worry about the details, I'm just glad we all made it out alive."

Khalidah winched and pulled back her wrist was touched. The skin was quickly swelling and was tender to the touch. Tentatively, she held it back out. "Sorry." While he worked on her hand, the teenager watched him with apathetic eyes. She was too tired to really focus, but the repetative movements soothed her.
"You saved us today." She blurted, shifting her legs underneath her. "If it wasn't for you, we would all be dead. Could you...could you help me? Train, that is, so next time..." She bit her lip and let the statement hang.

"You're fine." After the wince, he took more care with her hand, but still wrapped as firmly as he could. When Khali asked for his help though, she was lucky that Aaron had just finished wrapping. He tied the end, but then his head snapped up and his hands back to sit on his legs. "Me? I- I didn't- I don't have any training. I can't train you." He ran a hand through his hair. "Train? No. You'd be better off with someone else."
Gladly accepting the water, she sipped slowly while Raiden talked. She did great? No, she'd done something stupid, something wrong. She knew it. ... But what was it? Probably what got her head knocked up. Had a bandit snuck up on her? She looked at Raiden and smiled. She would find out the details later, what he left out about what she'd done. Later. "Yes, we'll be fine. Though, how long have we been traveling?" 'In other words, what kind of burden have I been?'

"Not too long." Raiden shrugged, "Maybe most of the afternoon?" He frowned, "I just know the sun was up when we left....I'm sorry." The teen rubbed his chin and sighed, "I didn't know what time it was when you guys came, I was kinda kept in the dark there."
"Anyway, I guess I should let you rest." Raiden looked around, "Guess we're going to be setting camp up here." Looking over at Aaron and his sister he called out, "Should I go get some firewood or something?" He was missing the smithy where there was always something to work on. It felt wrong not doing anything.

Whether from exhaustion or his reaction, Khalidah burst out laughing. "No, no, no! I just meant as a partner. Like, maybe we could practice with each other until one of us knows what we're doing." The teenager used her hands to motion to the both of them as she talked, then turned her head to giggle. "Don't stress yourself too much; you'll get wrinkles."
She placed her newly bandaged hand on her rump to turn around and look at her brother. "I'll help you. I don't think I could sleep right now if I wanted to." Khali stretched her arms above her head with a yawn, pulling her left foreleg up with her until she shook it all out.

Feeling his face redden, happy that the darkening sky probably masked it, he gave a quick nod. "Oh, just practice. ...." While afraid he might accidently hurt her, he couldn't see a valid reason to deny her request. "...that might work." He laughed at her little warning. "You mean I don't already?" Looking over at Raiden, he stood quickly and walked over, seeing that Tzeitel was awake, letting the teens get the wood. "Hey darling."
Nodding only a little, she laid herself back down. They'd all been through a lot, but she wasn't certain she could stand to help without getting dizzy again. Looking up when Aaron arrived, she gave him a small smile. "Hey big guy."

Raiden frowned before finally nodding, "Alright then." He looked around before deciding on a random direction, "Let's get going." The teen started walking away and into the forest without another glance back. Honestly, he just wanted something to do. Something to get his mind off of the events today. Really what type of man was he anyway to have been captured?
Bending Raiden picked up several large twigs, "Looks like we'll have plenty of wood for a fire tonight." He commented searching the ground, "The drier the wood, the less smoke. Guess that would be our objective."

Khalidah laughed and halfheartedly slugged Aaron on the shoulder as she passed. When she saw that Tzeitel was up, she waved, but didn't slow up so she could catch up to Raiden. Her whole body was alive with energy. The adrenaline rush that she'd needed earlier was just kicking in, and she was super paranoid of every little noise. An owl hooted in the tree above her, and she jumped.
"Ya." She said lamely, reaching over to pick up a couple of twigs with her good arm. "Hey, Raiden. How...how long were you down there?"

Sitting himself next to Tzeitel, he started brushing her hair with his fingers. Not something he did often. "How're you feeling? Want something to eat?" He also checked her bandage... the wound was already scarring over; at which point he also saw his raw knuckles, his own injuries sinking in. ...He'd have to clean those up afterward.
With Raiden's and Aaron's efforts combined, Tzeitel found herself feeling soothed. "I... a little dizzy, but very hungry. Maybe something light?" As Aaron retrieved food, she turned just enough to watch the teens gathering wood. Every time she looked at them, she felt a pang of guilt. What had she done to cause such feelings? She shoved those thoughts back down when an apple and a bit of bread was placed in front of her. "Thanks." Managing to sit up, she ate slowly while Aaron gave her a general recap of what happened. When it came to her wound, he only said that she was taken by surprise. There had to be more...

For a while he didn't respond. Instead the teen kept picking up pieces of wood until his arms were more than full of twigs, "Honestly, Khali-" He frowned and paused again, "I don't know. I was unconscious and there was no window to see the sun, so when I woke up I lost track. Surely no more than a day...maybe two at the most. Not that it matters I'm out now, right? We all made it here safely, that's all that matters." And that was all he was going to say on the matter. He didn't want to think about it anymore.
"At least you know your companions can fight." He suddenly commented with a light smile, "They seem to be good people. You picked well, Khali." He couldn't help but to look over at the two adults. There was so much he didn't know about them, including their relationship. Raiden shook his head, now that was none of his business.

Her long equine ears flicked back in guilt over having to cause her brother to relive the events so soon. She murmured a weak "sorry" before moving to pick up more wood.
Khalidah turned to look at her brother with a smile, "It's a relief. Though, there never was a time when I didn't have faith in them. I happen to be an excellent judge of character." She grinned, puffing up a bit. Looking back, she saw the exchange between Tzeitel and Aaron, then voiced the thought her brother had not. "I wonder if their involved."

Chewing on a bit of bread himself, he glanced over at the teens, wondering briefly what they were talking about. "I hate to admit it Tzei, but you seem to have us tangled up with a couple good kids." He chuckled, shaking his head. "Who would have thought? Me on an adventure..."
Nibbling slowly, her stomach hungry but unsettled, she managed a little smile. "They're good." She said softly, though her eyes remained focused on the food in her hand. Aaron's adventuring comment did squeeze a chuckle from her. "I knew you had it in you..." She put her hand on his arm. "I'm glad you came. It sounds like you did a lot down there." She giggled again at how red the male's face was turning. Though... She cocked her head. Was he blushing from simple bashfulness?

Raiden actually laughed. Okay, maybe he deserved that one. "I get it, I get it. You did right this time." He replied with a playful nudge against her good arm. Though his expression changed drastically at her next comment. "Involved?" He paused and dared to take another peek over at the two adults, "Maybe." He managed, obviously blushing before turning away from the sight of the two.
"Not-not like it matters to us, right?" He added clutching his load of wood, "I'm going to go set the fire up now, okay?" Turning he dropped the load with a thump onto the ground beside the adults and started to rearrange the pile silently.

She nudged him back and swatted him with her tail as she brushed past. "I mean, look at them." Khalidah motioned towards the adults. "Their all..close." She frowned, and looked down, missing her brother's blush. The teenager sighed and turned back to Raiden. "I suppose not..."
Khali followed after him, but instead of dropping her pile next to this, she set it up in a neat little stack by the base of a tree for later.

While his blush wasn't entirely from bashfulness, he didn't have time to comment further on the subject, even if he'd wanted to. He looked over at the sound of hooves and the thud of the wood hitting the ground. He helped Tzeitel sit up, then stood and paced a little, feeling fidgity from the day. "So, anyone think we should do watch shifts or feel all right with sleeping all at once?"
Finishing off the apple, feeling her strength return, she was able to sit up without getting dizzy. Watching the teens return with the wood, she sat quietly, being the only one who had any rest since the fight. ...Though, she'd rather be exhausted. "Well, even if you want shifts, I can take the first one. ...I mean..." She felt her face warm slightly and shifted her eyes to the side. "I did sorta sleep the day away. Might as well be useful now."
