"Oh my goodness!" Her eyes focussed back on Luke and she took a couple steps toward him, the slice of pizza still in her hand. "What happened?"

"Well, that's good, at least. That he didn't hurt anybody, I mean." She used her free hand to stack a couple of bean bag chairs and then sat on them. "Maggie told me about what happened when he visited her."
She looked at the pizza, but didn't feel very hungry any more.

She was not only relieved when she saw that they were two people she happened to like, but seeing as one of them was Luke, she actually managed a bit of a smile:::
