They are met at the door by Bez who has an errant Mara in tow.
"Fiwsh!" she cries happily. "Daddy... dey gots fiwsh!"
"I see that.." laughs Bez weakly. "Gee, guys, if I'd had known ye were coming, I'd have baked a cake."
"Our kitchen is a mess... can we use yours? We'll share..."laughs Pasa showing off their catches.

Ye know...ye need to watch what you swear...I notice a distinct lack of a week spent in a corner going on here...

Bez nods glumly. "Kind of hard to punish someone when you return to where you told them to be and they are waiting there for you... I could have sworn she wasn't there to begin with but when I asked what she was doing she told me she was waiting for me." he sighs and looks back across his shoulder. "One of these days I'll catch her twisting my words... and when I do..."

Bez shrugs sadly. "I don't know... cry probably... after I scold her ears off. She takes after me, after all and as Tam would have said... the fruit hasn't fallen too far from the tree." He looks up with a time worn expression. "How can I punish her for doing something I do all the time."

Bez rolls his eyes and nods. "Yea... I guess. Anyway, glad yer here. It's been kind of lonely. Em's great company and all, but all he ever wants to talk about is magic and well... " Bez spreads his hands and sighs. "I'm not very magically inclined. Ari is showing some sign of being so and even Mari... they must have gotten it from Ai... They sure the hell didn't get it from me."
He leads the way into the cave and the first thing Kero notices is a sleeping platform in the corner of the main room. On it, curled up as though he is merely taking a nap is Tam, her snow white fur brushed to a glimmering softness, a little thinner than when he last saw her, but other than that nothing has changed.

Bez nods. "She's sleeping easier. For a time her dreams were tormented, but now they seem peaceful enough. The girls sometimes tell me she is singing to them... but I never hear it. With them, ye never know... they are so young, but their memories of her are so few. She's been asleep far more than she's been awake in their lives. It could just be wistful thinking on their part and highly active imaginations."

They're telling the truth, Bez...here...*Takes Bez into his hands, and shares what he is hearing with the fallen angel...who he now considers as close as a brother, though he is technically a stepfather...he acts merely as a speaker for Tam's beautiful music, letting Bez hear the playing*

Bez strains to hear the music, his face a study of conflicting emotion, hunger... longing... grief... so sad and yet so happy. Kero can only hold the connection for so long and then he needs to break free. The look on Bez's face as he does so almost shatters his heart.
Bez sees this and hurries to hug him. "Please... don't feel bad. I... I am grateful... for even that much, truly I am..." Then he turns and quickly walks out of the cavern.
Ari patters over to Kerobian and rubs up against his leg. "Daddy sad." she mutters with a sigh.
