For those who don't know, this is probably a better place to post than in the shop was~
I have been fighting a dying hard drive since mid-January and I lost the battle about a week ago
it LOOKS like I saved most of my files, but I don't know how intact they are;
it was a mechanical drive failure and I don't know how much, if any, info I lost to corruption/bad sectors
the computer was fine, but slow, for a month and then suddenly Windows wouldn't start and the drive cannot be partitioned
while I suspect there aren't any issues, I had to pull most of the files off after the crash, so there could be
I'm running off a linux livecd, though that overheats my system quickly~
I could be back up and running in a few days, I could be looking into an entirely new laptop
I'll keep people updated as I can and I'm hoping to be back in March, as I said I would be
but that will all depend on rebuilding my lap top and getting my software all back and in order
Anyone who currently was expecting pets from me, you are free to PM with questions
but I have every intention of finishing your pets <3

okay, quick update~
I'm still running off a linux liveCD instead of an internal hard drive, so I can't install anything
but, I've discovered I can coax linux into acknowledging my tablet and that GIMP is preinstalled
As such, I can now open and color files to some extent.
I cannot cert, but I might start PMing out uncerts as I finish them.
Unfortunately, when I went digging and pulled files off my crashed drive, it was too late for some of them
a number of my workfiles were corrupted... or GIMP just doesn't want to open them, I can't tell
so I'll need to redo most of my breeding growths and December's freebies
I can finally finish my January customs too
I won't guarantee I'll get you your wish, I am unfamiliar with GIMP and it is not the most user friendly program I've ever encountered
so if I can't get the look/effects I want, your wish will have to wait for my drive to come inand I can reinstall Photoshop
I want you to get the best I can give you, not my best attempt using an unfamiliar program <3
