Ellandra nodded thoughtfully. "Do you have any idea of who we might contact?"
Rhian giggled and whispered into Kelly's ear, "Let's see if there's anything neat in here!"

Ellandra nodded. "Maybe . . . well, I might know of someone who would be able to help with that, if not directly," she said, then blinked as a thought occurred to her. "Oh, KEagan, you said you saw pictures of me? Were there any portraits painted or anything when I was small that might be here?" It was a thin, faltering hope, but it was there nevertheless.
Rhian blushed and crossed her fingers behind her back. "Yes, Mister Keagan!"

Faolan looked back at the kids. "Behave yourselves or gae outside t' play."

Rhian squeaked and tugged Kelly's hand. "Come on Kelly, let's go to the midway and play some games," she yelped, racing out the door and almost colliding nose-first into it on the way out. Ellandra watched her go and winced.
"Nothing I do ever seems to get through to her," she sighed. "I must be doing something wrong. . . "

"Eh, she's young," Keagan said. "She'll grow out o' it." He looked at Kelly and Zia. "Gae'un, you two. Keep an eye on your sister."
After they left, Faolan sat down on the bed with his father, looking up at Ellandra. "You really know someone tha' can help?"

"Not directly, Faolan," Ellandra said softly. "But think about Banning, how many people he keeps track of, knows of, I'm certain he could find someone who would help. And perhaps that same person could help with the remnants of the memory block I'm dealing with."

"Stories to tell them," Ellandra murmured, and then her eyes brightened. "Oh, Faolan, I'd completely forgotten. You'll never believe this, but I actually met Lee as a child, too. I'm starting to wonder if there's a bit more than coincidence at work here. . . ." She smiled down at her little babies, just so happy to have them safe and alive in this world.
