Darkpaw threw Pebblestar off with more force than he thought he had. "True that." He mewed.

"Ha, ha, good job." Pebblestar meowed. "Powerful kicks, strong charges, and easy to trow opponents off, it's a TwilightClan specialty. Interesting, isn't it?"
She began to circle Darkpaw, "Alright, let's try some training spars, no instruction, just don't claw me."
Pebblestar leaped at her apprentice, shoving his head to the ground before leaping away.

Darkpaw grunted as he hit the ground. "Ouf!" He leapt up at her, and waited for her to duck.

Shadowfrost shook his head, trying to get rid of the sleep in his eyes as he got up from the warrior's den. He padded outside towards the fresh-kill pile, noticing that it was empty, he headed out of the clearing to go hunting.

Pebblestar narrowly missed Darkpaw's attack, and headbutted his chest. She danced back and waited for his next move.
"You can do better than that! This is all a game," she meowed. "Pick up the pace, if you don't play by the rules you don't win."

((Yeah. Pebblestar sounds so much like him.))
Darkpaw flew backwards into a tree. It was getting more and tiring for him. He dove for her, preparing to jump. Instead of jumping, he dove under her belly, and pawed at it angrily.

((Sorry, guys, I've been busy with other guilds, and with teachers hounding me for work, I haven't been as memorable when it comes to posting. I'll try to post more!))
Stormflight observed as Daypaw crouched. Her rump was a little high, but other than that, it was very good. She placed her paw on her tail to lower her a little.
"There," she purred. "Perfect!"

Daypaw couldn't help the smirk that spread across her face, as she practiced pouncing on prey.
She let out a startled yowl as she actually landed on a mouse, but instinctively unsheathed her claws and killed it. Daypaw back away from the mouse, so her mentor could see, and she flattened her ears in embarrassment.
"It's... It's a bit unusual," she meowed.
The breath was knocked from Pebblestar as Darkpaw pummeled her stomach. The attack sent her skidding in the dirt until she hit a tree.
Shakily she got to her paws, and shook her head, "Excellent! You're getting a hang of this game. Next round!"
Pebblestar charged forward, using her powerful hind legs to gain speed, but instead of tackling him, she brushed past him. She kicked up dirt to create a dust cover, before she reared up on her hind paw, and brought all her weight down onto him, and held him to the ground.
Her grip was loose, to give him the chance to make his next move with ease.

Darkpaw hung loose for a split second, not to pretend that he lost, but to catch his breath. Well, actually both. Waiting for Pebblestar to show off about her victory, he just laid there, coughing up faint traces of blood.

Pebblestar backed allowed her apprentice to get up, alarmed by the blood.
"Darkpaw, are you okay?" she meowed.

Darkpaw smirked. It was true that he was coughing up blood, but he wouldn't let it interfere with his battle training. As soon as Pebblestar let him up, he dove for her, pawing continuously at her stomach. As soon as his forepaws got tired, he turned around and kicked her hard in the stomach.

"Yeah, it was wierd," Daypaw mewed. "I think I should get more practice catching prey the normal way."
Pebblestar landed with a thud and lie still. If she had inherited nothing else from her kin, she was still the best game player there was.
Her breathing became ragged, and she began to sputter and cough. Carefully she bit the inside of her cheek, and coughed out the blood.

Darkpaw glared at her. "Nice try, but I'm not about to fall for a trick I just used on you." He mewed. "And besides, that was actually blood that came out when you knocked me into a tree." He growled. He leapt towards her, paws outstretched, and pawed at her belly. For a second, he considered actually clawing her, since she was on her last life, but instead, just continued pawing her.

"But it got you over here!" she laughed. Pebblestar grabbed her apprentice and held him to the ground, her thick fur in his face, as she steered clear of his powerful hind paws.
