It hadn't been long until the Heartless had made their way into the tea party area, forcing Alice to flee once again. What were these creatures? They were all spooky and dark- sort of like the Cheshire Cat, really, except at least he didn't try and bite you! The young maiden shuddered at the thought of an invisible cat biting her. Wonderland was odd, but not creepy!
Running underneath one of the bushy hedges, she somehow appeared in the middle of the Castle Courtyard, surrounded by Card Soldiers, and it wasn't long before the realized she was there. And then, there was one shout-
"TAKE HER. SHE'S THE CAUSE OF ALL THIS. OFF WITH THE GIRL'S HEAD."
Oh no!
Dashing and weaving in between the soldiers, the managed to near the entrance of the castle grounds- little did she know who was already approaching.

{Ignorance is bliss... until reality throws a Heartless siege at you.}
[Traverse Town : First District] Soryuju was shocked to hear the shout of a male (Olum) from within the massive cloud of smog, declaring that he... no, they were beginning. A shiver ran down the Dragon Knight's spine- who were these people, that treated this as nothing more than a game to start? Regardless, he held his energy in, preparing to use it, only to be surprised by... a bird?
Soryuju looked at the odd creature with confusion- that was sincerely out of place. He believed it was called a Chocobo- he'd seen a few during his travels, but never actually here on Traverse Town. And it seemed to be trying to help (or freaking out and helping in the process), blowing away portions of the poisonous fog. With a brief shake of his head, he tried to focus again on what was going on.
"Hef, how much longer?" Soryuju asked, holding his spear behind him, ready to pull forward and strike when he felt necessary- but there were still no villains in sight, which made the Knight that much more nervous. "They seem to be biding their time, but I'd rather not push our luck."

[Traverse Town :: First District] Aria walked through the fog with ease, she could hear the panic in the voices of the humans and she smirked. The poisonous fog cover distorted their vision and with her moving with quite literally no noise, it was going to be a breeze to deal with these humans. She crept up behind one of the humans, a swallow wielder by the sounds of it and figured it was a good place to start.
"Time is irrelevant here." Aria murmured quite monotonously, as if she were standing by Soryuju the whole time and listening to their conversation. Then with no sudden movement to give way that she would be an attacker, Aria swung her gigantic tuning fork and slammed it into the ground. The reverberation caused the Earth to tremor and split from that epicenter outwards, coughing out the cobblestones as if it were a bad breakfast. Any secure footing the humans might have found were quickly wiped as the ground distorted.

{[Elde]} "Why does fortune...seem to strike the most kindhearted people? Is everything just pre-ordained?"
.:[Traverse Town: First District]:. Elde watched as Vain stood saying he was finished with their conversation. Elde’s mouth wrinkled in disappointment. That was sort of… “prikish” he thought as he stood from the table, he thought he might see who these other strangers were sitting close by. He shrugged still in response to Vain.
“That’s just the luck of the draw I gue-“ but before he could finish his sentence glass had shattered and before he knew it green gas was flooding the area. The blonde girl had been approaching his table with a large bowl of… something or other with tentacles in it, apparently today’s special. However she dropped it in shock from the shattering glass. Elde looked at her quickly.
“Quickly, hide!” with that she gave a little bit of a “Meep!” and ran back into the kitchen area. At least he wouldn’t have to eat today’s mystery tentacle extravaganza. This must be just a lucky attack on town… he thought slightly sarcastically… slightly not. He felt obligated to protect his ‘home’ town however, so he got ready for a fight.
He didn’t actually know what the gas was so he ended up accidentally breathing some of it in, immediately coughing profusely. After that calmed down he reached down and pulled his large turtleneck like collar over his mouth and nose. It wouldn’t do much and even now he could slightly taste and smell the gas, but he would live.
He turned over to the four other people to see how they were doing and saw something amazing.
A giant. Feathered. Ride-able. Bird… he almost couldn’t contain himself his eyes widening. He contained himself however realizing how serious the situation was. He looked up to faintly see a silver haired girl through the mist smashing the ground and causing him to lose his balance. He fell forward and caught himself with one leg and his hand against the ground. In his crouched position he drew his swords and charged towards where the cracks in the ground had come from.
He didn’t know why this person was attacking the town, but he knew he couldn’t let the destruction continue. He glanced briefly at the small sword in his left hand and for a moment all six lights above and below the slots on it flashed yellow and the reels began to turn. It would take a second for him to see if what he got was good… or not so good. So while he waited he continued his run towards the woman.
Unfortunately he hadn’t seen Sory in the way and only just barely managed to leap over him, now flying towards the woman attempting to use a double X slash with both swords at her. He muttered a muffled “Scuze me!” as he passed over Sory.

.: Traverse Town | Second District -> First District -> Second District † ________ ¯ ¯ ¯ ¯ ¯ ¯ ¯ [Bollocks.] Though she gave their new acquaintances no acknowledgement whatsoever, Orielle couldn't help but mutter wonder what she'd done to deserve being stalked by the walking freak show. They were creepy, but thankfully she managed to keep her gait even and her facials cold. Yay for the Poker Face and Poker... Feet! Not that either lasted very long.
Upon shoving open the large gates leading to the First District (she'd let go of Souzourou's arm a while back), Orielle's jaw dropped. Like, really dropped. "Aaaah....." she dragged on, lost for words as she processed what she saw.
All the glass in the vicinity was shattered, glistening and deadly on the District floor, which was cleavaged, the fissures running all the way across the tanned pavement. Not that she'd notice any of this because, funnily enough, the entire District was covered in a thick, sickly green fog.
"..... Goodbye," she said blankly - almost as blank as her eyes - making it sound more like a statement than a farewell because, in all honesty, that's what it was. Turning around, Orielle ambled back without even a brief pause for anyone else.[Absolute bollocks.]

ᾼγζᾲ & ΘяῥђɐʋϨ [Current Location: Traverse Town - Second District -> Just outside the door to from Second, to the First District] “Death is just a new beginning.” Despite Orielle's disdain for being followed by Orpheus who had been carrying Ayla alongside him, the undead half-elf refused to let them get away. This was their first contact with another living thing in outside of their homeworld since they arrived here, and he knew this was a chance not to allow to slip by. Or rather, Ayla knew that, Orpheus just wanted to find a chance to amuse himself and play a game. But of course, what master says is what master gets, and Orpheus had the command of 'follow them' from Ayla, so he did just as he was told. His sprint was more like long, leaping strides, taking big steps that looke almost like a gallop, proving once again that for an undead, Orpheus was incredably agile thanks to Ayla's work on him.
Once the two came to the door to the first district though, watching as Orielle dashed in first, the two waited for just a moment. Orpheus was more than anxious to go after her, but Ayla moved her lips, forever silent though, but her servant seemed to understand her just fine. She wanted him to wait. However once the door to this 'first district' as labeled had been opened, revealing a brief site of a green miasma and a town in shards, even tormented through siesmec shockwaves, Orpheus felt himself just go giddy with excitement as they waited by the door, letting his master crawl off his back, putting the bag down as well as his cheshire grin grew, revealing his row of fanged teeth. "Oh Master! Can I? Can I!?"The petite girl in the white dress; Ayla, had climed off of Orpheus's shoulder, and went right over to the large black bag that she made Orpheus carry, her murky gray eyes only briefly glancing at Orielle and Souzourou. She then opened the top of the bag, and suddenly, a foul stench would come from it, enough for Souzourou and Orielle to catch.
It reeked of death....
Suddenly, the girl reached her hand deep inside the bag, and started to move things around and pull a few things out. There was a severed human hand in a jar, a long roll of dried intestine, skin grafts, preserved muscle, a jarred fetus, dragon scales, a human tongue, the list just went on, but eventually, she stopped, sighing silently before putting it all back in."....Master? My.. eyes arn't in there?" Orpheus said, tilting his head a little, causing his hair and hat to shift enough to reveal the stiching and patch of flesh over his face where his eyes should be. He didn't sound too worried about it either, just... confused. "No matter! Master knows I can still manage. Let me go, let me go, pleeeeaaase~?" Asking like a child, this whole scene unfolded between Souzourou and Orielle, as Orpheus even seemed to gaze at the two, as if asking if they wanted to come, even after Orielle sprinted out of there. He more or less didn't seem bothered by the fact that things were in chaos, in fact.. he thrived on it~!
Ayla gave a simple, short nod, and Orpheus practically jumped for joy at the thought, starting his march to the gate to the First district, ready to enter, but waiting to see of the othe two, or at least the strange human who called himself Souzourou would like to come. Ayla would more or less stay. She could see obviously that something lurked in the air. And even though an undead like Orpheus would be uneffected, Ayla was still a mortal human, one who just had a special 'condition,' that was all. She would look back at Orielle and Souzourou as well with a blank gaze. It was strange, Ayla had the body of a child, probably around thirteen, maybe fourteen tops, and yet she had a look that seemed more experianced than anyone else, as if she was taking charge, completely nonchalent about this entire situation and ready to begin once they had their say in this.“But life is just something meant to end.”

Alex was forced back as the fog moved closer until she reached the circle of people, and a very large bird. The ex-Knight kept a loose, but firm grip on her sword. The fact that there were no enemies sent her senses on fire, and a vivid memory of the Daemon Siege on Patr sent a shiver down her spine. Never again would she let that happened. Never again.
She was about to turn around when the ground shook and sent her flying. She barely missed running her own blade through her face as she tumbled forward. Alex turned to the creator of the fissure, eyes hard. She crouched and jumped forward, her claymore held above her head.
Alex dodged around a table and sped for the girl with the tuning fork, paying mind to the boy with the long spear (Soryuji) and the boy with the double swords (Elde). | I simply hunt Heartless, nothing more. If you need that, then I am your girl.|

{Ignorance is bliss... until reality throws a Heartless siege at you.}
[Traverse Town : First District] With the sudden whisper, Soryuju quite literally jumped, turning around to swipe at the source of the voice- only to have the shockwave knock him clear off his feet, allowing two other fighters (Elde and Alexandra) to jump clear over him at the attacker. She was wearing black robes, by the looks of it, but because he'd been knocked down to the ground, he was forced to inhale the lower level of fog that had crept underneath them.
Dammit, it's poison!
He could feel his body weakening with every breath, forcing him back to bring his undershirt over his mouth to allow him to breath. This would stop the weakening, but he wasn't getting any stronger, either. Soryuju managed to get above the lower fumes for a few seconds, gasp for breath...
And release a dragon's roar from his mouth, sounding as though it had come from a full-blooded drake. With the roar, all of those who held no murderous intent toward him would feel as though they were faster and stronger than before; any who had murderous intent toward him or his allies would have been momentarily stunned.

[Traverse Town :: First District] Aria merely sidestepped the falling swallow-wielder, and was about to drive her weapon into his chest when she heard the quick approach of another human. Tch. She quickly brought her polearm up and easily swept Elde's attack aside before she moved and avoided Alexandra's attack all together. It was a plus when one moved at the speed of sound. Her movement caused a small force of energy to explode from her previous position like a tiny sonic boom.
"Going to have to try harder than that, I'm afraid." Aria murmured softly, yet her voice seemed to carry throughout the battlefield. She opened her mouth and it seemed as if she just swallowed the sound of the roar into her body so that she didn't feel the effects. The Twilight Requiem smiled briefly before she released tight-low frequency blast outwards. It was as if someone took all the sub-woofers in the world and turned them on simultaneously and it swept through the area; stunning all that experienced not only the sound but the strong vibrations that also echoed through the ground.
"How do you like a dose of your own medicine?" She asked no one in particular, a tight smile on her lips.

[Hefin]
{The blades don't lead to war, it's the soldier}
[Traverse Town : First District] Hefin checked the level on his gauge, panic settling over him as the fog just about reached him. The sudden tremor through him to the ground, despite having braced himself for any possible outcome. As he fell, his hands naturally slid back to the center position and drew the sliders back together. After this happened, six jets suddenly opened up on both sides of the head of the hammer. A steady stream of steam poured out of each jet and filled the area around him and his companions. As it came in contact with the poisonous ofg, it started to lift the fog up higher into the air and purify it on the way. Hefin continued laying down on the ground for a moment, then slowly brought himself up to his feet.
Once he was back on both feet, he heard the familiar roar of Sory's that had helped the both of them win so many fights with the Heartless before. He did not expect the following shock wave, however. He leaned on his hammer to keep him steady, then stiffened himself when he felt the stun wear off. He rested his hammer on his shoulder and glared at the woman who had knocked him and his compatriots down. "Now I don't normally approve of hitting a lady, but you need to go missy.

Zigmund
{A life without guilt...}
[Traverse Town:Back Alley> Second District]
Traverse Town has many alleys, dark corners of the word where the darkness seemed to be less of an it and more of a person; a disturbed, evil person who could only exist in nightmares.
While the person who seemingly walked out of that darkness didn’t exactly fit that description, he was close.
He looked inconspicuous enough, a tallish, skinny young adult whose attire seemed reminiscent of a scholars or a lab assistant, aside from the metal gauntlet and odd metallic grieves that clanked as he walked through night. He was currently drinking a can of root beer while scratching the back of his short haired, graying scalp. The man was very, very inconspicuous in appearance. He was also very, very deadly in fact.
Zigmund sighed as he finished off his root beer. A wondrous beverage it was, most worlds seemed to have it in stock, some more than actual beer. Why? Bugger all if he cared, he just loved a good drink once in a while. As much as he could love, anyway. He still, even after all this time, had no idea what he was. All he knew was that those idiots at the Garden, in their research of the heart, had unleashed those “heartless” creatures on the Bastion, killing so many people. Including him, he had thought. At least, until he realized the barren wasteland he had woken up in wasn’t the afterlife, he had magic powers, and his emotions were as gone as the Garden, his friends, and his family.
That, he decided, had not been his best week.
As he began idly tossing the can up and down he came to a slow and steady realization, one that often followed these introspections: he had no idea where he was. Again.
“Ah well.”he decided mentally as he continued tossing his can “I might as well try and find some people to see where I am and if there is anything interesting around here.”
With that in mind, Zigmund walked out of the ally, ready for yet another brave new world.

The roar reverberated through her bones and for a moment she saw the battle fields of the Plains, hundreds of dragons at battle in the sky. Someone had made that roar behind her. She shot forward, much faster than she normally would have gone and went to bring her sword down on the girl...
Only to find her not there. Alex crashed her sword through a table and skidded, coming to a stop. Another roar sounded but this one did not help her at all. Her body froze as she leaned heavily on her sword for balance. Alex stood up as the shock wave disappatted. She pried her sword from the wood and heafitied it onto her shoulder.
"If only I was still a Dragon Knight..." she said, mostly to herself, but any could hear her, as she walked up to the group again. I could be more of a help than this...| I simply hunt Heartless, nothing more. If you need that, then I am your girl.|

Solaris {Sorry, I'll be taking my leave now.}
{Traverse Town : First District}
Sol watched in amazement as his magic hardly did any damage to the fog. It was astounding. He was used to magic having at least some affect. It barely did anything.
When the fog burst out of the cube and came flowing down, Sol simply sent more aero magic flying towards it, preventing the fog from coming closer. It was a much simpler task than when the fog was thicker. Feeling safe at last, Sol let his guard down.
And then the earth started to shake. Unprepared, Sol lost his balance and fell, sitting there while he tried to figure out what to do. Are all battles like this? Sol thought to himself as he heard the roaring produced twice. It was rather annoying. He was quite done with this battle.
Turning and walking away, Sol passed by an opening that allowed him to see where the majority of the fighting was occurring and stopped. There was the green chocobo Enyb again. Why was it over there where the fighting was? Silly creature. Sol thought, turning back around. He didn't get very far when something in his hand bumped against a wall. Looking down, he realized that he still held the 'present' from Enyb. Torn, Sol looked between the doors to the Second District and the battle. Finally, against his survival instinct, Sol turned back to help the chocobo. Forget the humans, he just wanted to help Enyb. And he still had to give the candlestick holder back.
Pointing his staff towards the attacker (Aria), he fired off three spells. "Flare. Fire. Blizzard." In rapid succession, a Flare spell shot out, followed by a Fire, then a slower moving Blizzard spell. Then he lifted his staff into the air and called out, "Thunder." The air above the attacker would begin to crackle, releasing a bolt of lightning that would hit in conjunction with the Flare spell.

[Fal'Navi] "...The shadows beckon." [Wonderland::Queen of Heart's Courtyard] Fal'navi swung his spear around his back, the card soldiers within range of his weapon were cut in half and turned into dust. And with that attack...53. The Dragoon grunted, getting into another defensive position as the sound of card soldiers approached once again. But they weren't after him, oddly. They were chasing a blonde girl. "...Is that Alice?" Fal'navi didn't hesitate a moment longer to ponder the possibility, but instead moved full sprint towards where the blonde was heading in order to intercept her.

: |[Dante]| :
-{The Redeemer}- .: |Gaia | Christie's Cafe| :.
"Get back inside," Dante ordered as the Meta-Guard extended. Its blue glow illuminated the dark alley as the shadows crept closer. More eerie creatures climbed from the shadows cast by the enchanted gauntlet's light--climbing from behind dumpsters and out of hols in the walls. Creeping closer and closer.
He heard the door open behind him and swatted away a leaping shadow. Then he jumped backwards. With a grunt, he forced his right foot down. A blue shoe-print created another step, propelling him back without his feet touching the ground. He twisted with the second step, turning his body to face the open door.
The boost sent him parallel with the ground. Like a rocket he shot towards the cafe's back door--until one of the shadows pounced from the roof. It slashed and was countered by a glowing 'ping' from the emblem on the back of his jacket. But the attack redirected his momentum into the ground. With a thud, Dante hit the ground and tumbled. He hit the back step of the face and cried out in pain. His left arm fell limp. Christie grabbed him and dragged him into the cafe as he kicked towards a couple of shadows.
"It's dislocated," he grunted as he collapsed in front of the bar. Christie slammed the door and knelt beside her little brother. She carefully felt along his shoulder and noted where he winced in pain.
"Hold on," she stood up and nimbly hopped the counter. After rummaging though the cabinets, she returned to his side with a bottle. "My last potion," she tucked it into his hand. "Take it after I pop it back in." She gripped his arm and tugged upward. The shoulder popped, Dante grunted and downed the liquid between clinched teeth. Soon, the pain subsided.
"We've got to get out of her," Dante said as he rotated his arm, testing his shoulder for good measure. "But I'm gonna need something... A weapon." His eyes fell upon a sword encased in a glass display hanging above the order window. 'Great Expectation' was etched in gold along the bottom. "Something like that!"
As he reached for the sword, Christie yelled from behind. More shadows were popping up out of the corners of the cafe....
"...What do you want from me?"
