Kimiko frowned. She wasn't exactly happy...but...she accepted it. "Fine." She conceded. She starting walking down into the ring, passing Maboroshi on his way out. "Maboroshi-" she was a little put off as he just walked past her, ignoring her presence. She entertained the notion of just letting it go, after all, something had obviously just occurred to unhinge him, but then, she'd never really cared when he was in a bad mood before, why start now? "Hey, Maboroshi I know you heard me."

He stopped "What?" He said coldly.

Kimiko frowned crossing her arms indignantly "Hey what are you mad at me for?"

Xenon sighed, still not looking at her. Finally he turned his head around, his expression softening to it's usaul neutral. "What is it?" he said evenly.

Kimiko gave a small nod as though satisfied "I just wanted to know what was wrong. You seemed kind've out of it during the battle...are you okay?"

Xenon seemed to twitch slightly, as though something had annoyed him, or perhaps a fly was buzzing around his head. "Hm." he suddenly seemed to find something amusing. He turned ahead again, his glasses flashing in the sun. "We're...friends, aren't we Momoe-san?"

Kimiko tilted her head. "Of course we're frie-" suddenly her face went into a look of exaggerated dramatic shock. "MABOROSHI! D-d-d-d-did you just use the word "Friend" in a none sarcastic sentence!" she suddenly seemed to glow with pride "This is amazing! Our bond of eternal rivalry must be getting through to you after!"

Xenon chuckled "It must be so." he said with sinister twist to his voice.

Kimiko suddenly looked deadpanned "Now you just sound malevolent again! Come on Maboroshi! Don't regress on me now!"

Xenon continued his walk. "I"ve no idea what you could be referring to." he called back, light hearted sarcasm back in his voice.

Kimiko sighed slightly discouraged. "Awww... well that didn't last very long... but..." she turned heading back to stand in front of Raine to begin th fight. "Hm... Raine hit him with that rock move and knocked him over...so maybe...beating him up?" Suddenly she looked as though the heavens had opened themselves to her, delivering with them the cradle of divine knowledge. "That's it! I've seen it happen in manga and stuff but I didn't think that really worked! All I've got to do to make Maboroshi a better person is to beat him up! Wow I've really been over-thinking this, I thought I'd have to slowly unresolve his obvious past trauma or something, but wow! I just have to pound the stuffing out of him." she seemed off in her own little world. "Wow Raine, you're a Genius! I never would've realized!" she looked thoughtful, putting a finger to her chin. "I wonder if that's why Ninja's don't therapists...I thought it was because we couldn't risk sensitive information, but maybe it's because we get beat up so much, our issues work THEMSELVES out... wow! It makes perfect sense!"

Xenon was now standing by Dash, his eyebrow raised. Did she even know that he could still hear her? "That makes nothing even resembling sense." he muttered. He sighed. Yes...that was his weakness right there, just great. It couldn't have been someone who could actually defend themselves nooo, or even someone with the presence of mind to avoid trouble, of course not. He had to grow a soft spot for a naive heroine wanna be with a predisposition to jump to conclusions and the irrational urge to run head first into danger on the absurd notion that it was "the right thing to do."

He rubbed his temples as though he suddenly had a headache. He supposed it could have been worse...he could have accidentally become friends with a Tekkenseisai. Now THAT would be a REAL nightmare.

Kimiko suddenly seemed in a better mood. "Okay Raine...just...tell me when your ready, okay?"

(XD, you wanna roll for first hit? I thought you were going to take the chance just there.)

Dash stood next to Xen silently for a moment. He didn't want to bring up the fight and let in that he was never going to forget this moment and possibly use it against him for the rest of his shinobi career. In stead he listened to Kimiko go on.

"Yeah, that's the secret to it all. I mean just look at me, I've never had a day of therapy in my life!" he laughed to himself, "Now, go ahead. I want to watch you two beat each other to the brink of death!" The jounin smiled at his hypocrisy. He leaned toward Xen without looked at him. "Well, I think she might have a point if she flipped it around. So Shinobi really get-off beating on people, in stead of getting beat up. Where we really just all have some transference neuroses and push it into the primitive form of battle through regression and displacement. Of course that having nothing to do with what we just saw." He smiled casually finally pulling his eyes to Xen, they wore a look that said "I could pinpoint the exact reason for all your actions and the affects on they have on your entire persona". The man was silent though, a courtesy he often gave with his powers of deduction. Wishing the moment to be over he turned away, returning his attention to the battle, they still hadn't started. If there was one thing Dash like about Raine was that he did things quickly.

Raine wrung his fingers through his hair, the holes in his blades scraping his skin as he bent his fingers awkwardly. He breathed deeply on the ground trying to get the vision out of the florescent blood out of his head. Kimiko spoke and Raine rose his gaze to meet her. He was supposed to fight? ******** goddamn, ******** gaia ate the rest of the ******** post that I just spent a goddamn half-hour on. Raine tries to get up, but he's ******** up and falls on his face and says "Kimiko I don't think I can fight you."

Than I said (ha ******** ha, I forgot neither of them are in any mental condition to fight. I guess Xen wins.) GODDAMNIT.

(Yes...and so Xen has a his first big mental breakthrough... well, more like Moral breakthrough. Friends happen. Yes, I just compared friendship to "s**t Happens." But this IS Xen we're talking about. Baby steps. xd )

Xenon's eyes narrowed as Dash met his gaze. His eyes...Xen's gaze stayed strong, but...was this what it was like for other people...to face a gaze that seemed to stare right through you? Xenon clenched his fists slightly. Perhaps he COULD see into Xenon's mind and piece by piece together a "profile".

But Xen knew about such things himself to a lesser extent, and such profiles were unreliable at best. True understanding was something not so scientific, and so far, despite the fact that, in his opinion, he merely thought logically, no one seemed to be able to obtain understanding of him. Nor had anyone ever offered him a logical reason to change his way of thinking... they just didn't understand what it was he sought.

'Do not worry little seeker...' the voice in the bowels of his mind whispered "The truth will come when you obtain mastery of illusion... seek me within thyself...and together we shall find the truth. The truth is the ONLY way to true power...'

Xenon's eyes glowed unconsciously, chakra coursing through them. Yes, the voice in his dream... the voice in the mist. It was right. The only way for him to ensure that he never felt loss again, was to become the strongest. Still...he had to acknowledge that he was human, as he'd been forced to do on occasions when he found himself losing his temper. He was just a child, though he didn't like to admit it. He was bound to grow attached to things he favored. He'd simply have to acknowledge these ties, and protect them as best he could... Denying them would only risk losing them...or losing himself to them in a crucial moment...like just now. He looked at Kimiko, his gaze seemingly indifferent So be it... Kimiko would have to be protected... then again...hadn't he really planned on that before? Had anything truly changed? No he realized. Merely his view of the situation had changed. Another Illusion, this time of his own making... he still had a long way to go.

Kimiko trembled slightly "That's okay Raine... I really don't think I could swing my sword even if I tried." her hands were trembling. "Maboroshi's really scary when he wants to be." The feel of her body burning up in the fire flashed in her mind. She looked over her rival and shouted "Hey! Maboroshi! If you're going to do stuff like this the least you could do is learn how to HEAL mental damage!"

"I'll get right on that." He called casually, writing it down in his small black journal, right alongside "Friendship is an inevitable product of continued favor associated with a sentient creature, be aware of this and take into account when distributing favor." He underlined this sentence, his expression still looking as though this was about a trivial fact as "The Sky is blue." "But only if don't try and randomly beat me up in some vain attempt to turn me toward your idealistic wish wash...that would play hell on my schedule, you understand."

"H-hey! That's not fair!"

"Option A or option B Kimiko-san."

"Fine, fine, I'll beat you up in a sparring match or something... dar-" her eyes widened "What did you call me!?"

"Hm?" Xenon shut his journal "beg your pardon?"

"What name did you just call me!?"

Xenon raised an eyebrow, still acting completely casual "Kimiko-san? What would you prefer a different suffix?"

Kimiko looked astounded "B-but...but you never call me by name!"

"I'm really quite sure I don't know what you mean. I've ALWAYS called you Kimiko-san."

"LIES!" Kimiko declared pointing at him in full dramatic fashion.

"Mm hm...whatever you say... Kimiko-san."

"H-Hey! You can't just start calling me by my name and pretend like it's nothing! What did one fo those rocks hit your head really hard or something!?"

"I'm really more worried about you Kimiko-san, perhaps my Genjutsu did more damage then I suspected... perhaps we should take you to see Doctor Gray."

"There's nothing wrong with my brain! ARGH! Your such a Jerk Maboroshi! Stop calling me by my name, it's weird!"

"And you claim there's nothing wrong with your head? What ELSE would I call you beside's your name..." he smirked, apparently savoring each syllable as he uttered "Ki-mi-ko-san." He watched as she twitched with each syllable.

"Ah hah! I knew it! Your just doing it to antagonize me!!" she looked like she was literally fuming, her eyes on dramatic fire in a way that would have made her father's teeth sparkle with pride. "If I wasn't recovering from our fight I would SO kick your butt!"

"But since you lost our fight doesn't that imply-"

"SO not the point!!"

The two continued bantering across the sparring field to one another. Xenon gave a subtle smile, the Status Quo was unchanged.

Dash sighed, neither of them could fight after facing a genjutsu. "Okay, okay crew, Listen up." He still stood on the roof his voice booming over the ground but still oddly calm and unstrained. "There were a few lesson's in this little activity, I hope you gathered most of them. Firstly, finding each other's strength's and weakness in battle, while also getting to know each other." he said the last part sarcastically and smiled down to Raine. "Now, the second one was why I had you fight each other back to back without any time to heal. In a real mission, you won't be able to sit down and take a tea-time in between every battle. I hope your utter failure will help you understand that in the future." He pulled his hand from his pockets and turned his gaze to each of them individually as he talked. "There were also some individual lessons. Raine and Kimiko, need to work on their defense against genjutsu. Xen you need to work out some of those internal issues that made the genjutsu fire back on you, as well as some social skills. Whether you or not you think so, they do come in handy." he winked moving closer to the side of the roof. "Now, in the future the only way you guys are going to make it through a lot of battle is by sustaining each other. So I suggest you all learn some healing jutsu. Especially you Raine."

the small boy lifted his head off the ground.

"Since the others have Chakra consuming jutsu, you will be the one to sustain chakra in the eleventh hour, so you can be a last resort to heal." He hopped down from the roof, his boots crushing the soft mud as he walked to the small boy laying on the ground. Picking him up easily and holding him over his shoulder he glanced at the others. "Well come on now. You two help each other to the hospital. It's a place you're going to get used to in team 4. I've also got a briefing for our mission tonight. We'll be heading out after you have your wits about you."

Xenon seemed in a fine mood considering his condition. "I have plenty of social skills." he insisted, his usual, subtly amused by everything around him, attitude returning.

Kimiko came walking up beside him, her left arm still trembling. "Yeah right Maboroshi, then why is it you always end up antagonizing people!"

Xenon chuckled "That's a matter of choice, unfortunately the same can't be said you, Kimiko-san."

"What do you mean by that?" She challenged as they began to follow after Dash.

Xenon seemed to think it was obvious "Well," he said still appearing to be enjoying himself. "I can be more charming when I wish to be, but wishing to be more intelligent does not make it so."

A dramatic vein appeared on Kimiko's forehead. "You jerk! You wait till I'm healed! I want a rematch!"

"I'm sorry, all victories are final. You don't see me asking Raine for rematch do you, I made a foolish mistake and I paid the price. Why can't you just be mature about this Kimiko-san?"

"I AM mature! You're the one who's always-" but she was cut off as Xenon let loose a loud whistle. She seemed distracted. "What did you do that for?"

"Yo boss!" Kimiko looked up to see Mokutan swooping down from some nearby trees. "How did...whoa! Hey there chief you okay!? I mean geez what did they do to ya! Your all cut up and...I detect the faint scent of burns..." Mokutan flapped his wings "Lemme at em! I mean, I won't fight'em myself, but I got cousin, and lemme tell ya, he'll-"

"Actually Mokutan," Xenon interjected unconcerned "I'm fine, and the culprit is right here." (he already healed all the damage from Raine) He pointed sideways at Kimiko, who was watching the pair obliviously as they walked along.

"Whoa, whoa, Seriously? Kimi-tan roughed ya up like this? Sheez!" he crossed to Xen's other shoulder, so as to engage her in closer conversation. "Wow there Kimi-tan, I totally underestimated you, I had ya pegged as a deadweight with a temper and a katana."

"Hey!" Mokutan quickly switched shoulders yet again, putting Xen in between himself and the rather irritated girl.

"Oh don't take him seriously Kimiko-san, believe it or not, he was actually trying to give you a compliment."

Kimiko looked suddenly incredulous "What? But...wow Maboroshi...I guess compared to some people you DO have social skills..." her arm trembled slightly and she slowed her pace.

"Do you need some help?" Xenon inquired with a "helpful" smile. It made him look like a heartless tax collector, smiling while he strode off with your money to the Government.

"No!" She righted herself again and kept up with his pace.

Xenon pushed up his glasses looking especially mischievous "Hm, Mokutan?"

"Yeah Chief?"

"Remind me, aren't heroes supposed to trust in teamwork and not be afraid to rely on others?"

Mokutan snickered "Ya know boss, I think that's EXACTLY how it works. Why, what kind of monster would turn aside a trusted comrade's offer of aide?"

"Certainly not a hero, that's for certain."

"Certainly not boss."

"I hate you both!!"

"Mokutan, do heroes often entertain hate?"

"I don't think they do boss."

"AARGH!"

Raine didn't bother going through the building, he simply walked around the back to the trainings grounds. Sucking on his candy he stared out over the grounds. What could he possibly do to help him train? He looked to the dummies, the sand pit, the pond, and then the ropes high up in the trees. That could probably help him out. The boy finished his candy and quickly ran inside to throw away the stick. Pi poked his head out of Raine's pocket.

"What are you planning now?" Raine snickered he didn't want to reveal this one just yet. The Tekkenseisai set off at a sprint across the lawn a smile creeping across his face. He knew this was a stupid way to train and that made it so much better. His feet slashed through the pond as he bent down thrusting upward into the air. He was quickly met by a tree, and grabbed on the best of his ability. Looking down over his shoulder he found a rope close to him and edged down slowly to it.

The rope was fastened tightly by wrapping around the trunk of the tree. It was a very thick rope, more than capable of Raine's intentions. Slowly he stood about 30 feet from the ground and looked down over the training grounds. It made his heart race, but that didn't matter. The boy edged slightly over to where the rope broke off and led to another tree. His sandals were coarse on the rope and he had to maneuver over the knot.

"Raine what are you doing?" Pi asked staring down at the multiplied height of what Raine was looked at. "You know Ajolte, don't like being up high. We are more earth animals."

Slowly Raine edged out over the rope. He faced out while his hands were extended behind him, still touching the tree for balance.

"Raine are you crazy! You are going to get us killed!" He snicked.

"Relax. I'm a Tekkenseisai." He said, letting the tree go and stepped forward. With the middle of his foot securely placed on the rope his arms rising up and extending outwards to help his equilibrium.

"Well. Thank god you can balance on a rope!" Pi yelled up at him with anger.

"He yeah." With that, Raine set his next foot down sideways and followed with his other foot side by side. He knew this wouldn't work for balancing and he leaned back. Pi was utterly speechless, before letting out a howl of horror.

The small boy toppled backwards twisting to his instinct. There was nothing that he couldn't do. His hair flipped up over his eyes and he watched the ground come closer. Raine tried whipping his feet down to be underneath him, but he simply didn't have the time. His body met the earth with a hard thud and he let out a groan of pain. He lay there for a moment.

"Raine! Are you dead!" Pi screamed out from his pocket.

"Huh. No." The boy twisted on the ground so that he could hoist himself up on propped arms. "Ah god." His muscles had hardened just as he thought they would. And good thing too. He definitely needed this training.

Raine pulled himself onto his knees and examined himself for broken bones, scrapes, bruises. There was nothing much and he didn't seem very hurt, the force of hitting the ground has winded him but other than that he seemed to be fine. From the ground Raine looked up over his head to the turning yellow leaves. He remembered sitting in the same position looking up through the trees into the sky when he had been on the brink of death during his mission with Aoshiro. He smiled just realizing that he was alive. It was so nice, he forgot how grateful he should be sometimes.

"Oh thank god, you're alive Raine. What the hell were you thinking? Are you mentally stable? Do we need to have a talk."

"No Pi, I was just thinking this was a real extreme way of training. One of my sensei's use to make me train like this all the time. It was pretty horrible but it worked really well."

The boy shook the thought off quickly and stood, brushing the dirt and leaves off of his butt and knees. He ran forward and quickly turned to jump back up onto the tree. This time he had aimed more accurately and found himself just a few inches above the rope. He let himself slide down so his feet could meet it.

Once more he found himself looking down at the ground below, with a deep breath he moved himself to face the opposite tree and stepped forward, his hands gradually leaving him behind. With this he felt more comfortable.

"Oh Raine. Why! Why do you do the things you do?"

He bit his lip as he moved further and further out. Slightly wobbling with each step he took. His fingers reached out into the distances while he kept his gaze on the rope below. He surprised himself with what he had already accomplished. "I need to get better Pi." Raine rearranged his feet just as he had before.

"Oh Raine. Please don't jump."

"He. Sorry." With that he jumped forward this time. He had figured this would give him a better chance to land. Of course he had jumped from great heights before but now he pulled himself forward and flipped. Just before he landed he spotted the horizon of the forest behind the training grounds that worked it's way up into the mountains. As his feet met the ground, Raine knew it would be too much to handle and his ankles would sprain or break. Quickly he collapsed into forward movement. With the momentum of his flight Raine rolled into the foliage below the trees. He rolled a good four times before falling to a stop on his back. Quickly he raised his head, and looked back on a propped shoulder to see how far he had gone. With a smile and a laugh the boy got up, jumping into the air with a clenched fist.

"Yes!"

"Ha Pi. That's what I was trying to do!" He began to walk back through the ankle length grass to where he could jump up to the tree once more. This time he would have to go from the opposite side that he had started.

"You're crazy! You're going to kill yourself! What if you land on your next or something like that. What will I be able to do. Call for help?" He was practically in hysterics. Raine stopped, pulled the tiny creature out of his pocket, and rose his hand to eye level.

"Look. My name is Tekkenseisai. You know what that means?" He smiled, he had never given this spiel before. "It means I am a reckless first fighter. RECKLESS. It comes with the bloodline. And I like that. I love being reckless. Especially when it comes to fun stuff like this." He smiled to Pi. "Just relax. And have fun with me." The tiny thing shook it head with wiggeling his little claws.

"Yeah. I know you're crazy."

"Well do you want to go sit inside where it's safe?" he asked, sticking his neck out to get closer and pointing to the building. Little Pi shook his head. And Raine smiled broadly. "Good. I don't know what I'd do without your company." he said, before placing the little animal back in his pocket, who buried deep to get settled before poking his head out once more.

Raine quickly jumped up to the tree. On this side there was a branch that he could hold onto while getting on to the rope, however the not was on the other side so he couldn't really use that and the rope was very thin, when he couldn't put the middle of his foot over it. After struggling for a few minutes he managed to make his way to the knot where he was still hugging the tree. Raine struggled to get enough space to turn around. His fingers clawed against the bark as he stepped backward onto the rope. Raine knew it was a stupid idea but it seemed like his only chance to getting off of the tree. He could barel see where he was going and leaned forward at he left. The rope swayed beneath him before he had even gotten 3 feet out.

"Ah, oh." He waved his hand in circles trying to catch himself. His waist flung foreword and back which only made the rope shake more. Knowing that he didn't have a chance Raine tried to his best ability to jump off of the rope. His feet slipped off though and he found himself in more of a fall than a jump. Still waving his hand and kicking out, Raine knew it would be better from him to land on his side than on his ankles. In the air he managed to turn to his side second before his palms hit the dirt and his body thumped down quickly after. On the ground he rolled around, dirt covered his face that had already been coated with soot from the exploding tag. His teeth seemed even brighter compared to his filthy skin as he smiled on the ground.

"You okay Pi?" He rolled over to Pi, just realizing for the first time that it was possible to land on him and squish him. For a moment it was silent and Raine's heart filled with dread. "Pi?" The thing burrowed out of his pocket, and stuck an angry face out.

"If you fall again, I'm going to bite the closest extremity down here." Raine was quiet for a second, looking down at Pi, he was completely taken about and grateful that he was okay.

A giggled crept out over his face. Before he burst out in laughter.

(Forgot dice roll for last one. + dice rolls for this post) Raine was up quickly, brushing himself off once. More this time he found sticks in his hair and grass stains all over his left side. He shook his head, the day hadn't even started and he had already looked like a little pig. The boy quickly hopped up, this time onto a nearby branch, instead of the tree trunk. He was bored of trying to turn around on that not, it obviously hadn't worked the last time. He felt it would be much cooler if he hopped down from the over hanging branch onto the rope.

Raine squatted atop the branch looking down at the rope.

"K, Pi you ready for this?"

"Of course not." The boy laughed before he let go of the branch and hopped forward. It was a very delicate jump and he was very precise about hi mechanics. He had to be absolutely perfect. Against all odds, Raine's foot hit the rope and the other quickly follower in front of that. He instantly stuck his arms out and began to sort of run over the rope that was going to bounce immensely once he stopped moving. The rope was swaying greatly now and Raine's eyes shot open and he howled with excitement and disbelief. Eventually the thing shook too much and the boy knew there was no other choice than abandonment. He never stopped but simply put all of his energy to propelling himself off the rope without slipping like he had done before.

He had left the rope completely, but his legs still ran as if he were running along the rope. Quickly he tucked his legs in and rolled forward, doing a flip in the air. He hit the ground at an angle and was already in the rolling motion. Covering his head, his back his the grass, but did not stay. He somersaulted into a bush where he lay with his legs propped in the air.

"HAHA! That was awesome!"

Raine rolled up to a sitting position, his knees were scraped and the weights on his wrist had made bruises on his arms. After rubbing them to check from anything to bed, and checking the back of his legs to make sure he hadn't been stabbed by one of the branches on the bush. All was well and he stood up in the grass. Now he was in the shade of the opposite tree. For a moment he propped his arms up on his waist and looked over. He was still in the shadow of the mountain but the sun was peaking up over it. It was already bright and shining on the rest of the village.

With a deep sigh the boy examined the rope on this side of the tree, unlike the first. This tree had two ropes wrapped around it, a lower one, which was attached to the first tree, and a higher on that were off to the others. He nodded to himself, this tree would be much better because he could hold onto the higher rope while getting set before going.

"Raine I can't believe you did that!" Pi was actually pretty excited as well.

"Ha Yeah! I know right!" He jumped up and grabbed the higher rope, it swag under his weight. He kicked out his foot and caught it on the other rope so he could pull himself over. "I mean. Really I'm a shinobi Pi. We do this stuff all the time." He stepped out on the rope, completely full of confidence. He used the side of his foot now, and was looking down at Pi in stead of where his feet were going. The small creatures looked up at Him anxiously. Under him the rope swayed from hide to side and he quickly readjusted his balance, taking his attention off of Pi and wiggeling back and forth, moving the center of his weight up and down, and back and forth his arms flailing.

"Yeah, I know you did this more than often." Pi snuck back into the cushioned pocket getting ready for another fall.

"Uh..."He flailed, "Ah..." Slowly he tipped backward and the rope got further and further away from his center of axis. Raine recalled his first attempt at this, and how falling backwards had not fared very well. He felt his muscles harden inside, the feeling was now familiar and natural. With a deep breath he lept back, the rope spraying up into motion as he flipped backward. Raine spun around in the air his small body curving. His head still faced down but he had changed his position so that his back would fall first when he rolled. This time Raine didn't have time to do a flip and simply his the ground, yet he had harnessed his weight beautifully and set off in a roll into the grass. Already tracks from a few of his rolls were on the ground. He came up head first from a somersault without a smile but more with surprise. This soon grew into a smile "I totally saved that one!"

Raine rolled over on the grass, looking back at the pond. For a moment he stopped, the rope still swung lightly above him. It was pulled rather tightly but he had worked a lightly slack into the rope. The pond beyond rippled past, he followed it up into the mountains with his eyes and watched it disappear in a small cover of trees.

"Raine when will you be done with this." Pi Poked his head out of Raine pocket for a peak at why he had stopped moving.

The boy looked down with a shrug. "You know I really don't know. I definitely have to work longer I still haven't got it yet." He stood up once again brushing rocks and dirt from his knees.

"At this rate I don't think you'll ever get it." Pi moaned with a grumpy voice. Raine recalled how little sleep he had made Pi go through. In fact for the first time Raine realized how tired he was. He had only gotten about 4 or 5 hours asleep. Not only that, but the only thing he had eaten all day was a roll and some rocky candy. "After this you want to go get breakfast though?" the thought made his tummy grumble. And Pi instantly lightened up.

"Oh yeah. That would be good!"
He smiled up to Raine. As he quickly hopped up to the rope he had came from, his fingers grabbing the coarse hairs of the rope. It was very tough stuff, something that he remembered from their team bonding mission in the forest. He stepped out onto the rope very carefully and watching closely, while still talking.

"What do you even eat Pi?" He asked lightly not really thinking of what he was saying.

"Who me? Well, I eat little worms, and bugs and stuff like that. Do you think they sell those anywhere?" Raine scrunched his face as he went further over the rope, walking rather casually.

"That sounds nasty. And I don't think any of the shops sell bugs.... Well I guess there is one place that sells roasted crickets." the combination of nasty thoughts and not eating made Raine feel kind of nauseous.

"Eh, that sounds okay I guess. I like them alive better but beggars can't be choosers." Raine stood still his arms erect, he had turned to the side once more. "Eh. I hate this part." The boy jumped high this time. His arms still erect, he had much more time to move and rolled in the air, flipping twice. The timing was not perfect though, And Raine thought he had more time and more space, in his second flip he hit the ground with his lower back and butt.

"Ah." The air knocked from his chest. HE walled in a bit of pain on the ground for a moment before drawing it small gasps of air. When he had breathed normally he pushed himself up and rubbed his butt. "Ah Damn it."

"Raine you okay?" Pi had forgotten his joking momentarily while Raine was hurt. The tiny creature pulled himself out of Raine's pocket and scurried surprisingly quickly over his body and up to his neck.

The odd tickle of his claws and his scaly body made Raine cringe before turned over and dropping him off into his palm. "Sorry, What'd you say?"

Now that Raine seemed okay, Pi was less than inclined to be courteous. "Jeeze, what was that. You practicing to dive off a building and kill your self?" The boy rolled his eyes.

"Oh whatever." he stood slowly, the pain in his lower back still aching through him. From a moment he stood hunched over with his arms propped on his knees, breathing slowly. As he stood a series of cracks went down his back and he exhaled deeply. "AHhhhh." He flung his arms to the side to twist his back and after figuring that he was fine, did a few jumps while rotating his shoulders. "Kay, all better." He smiled, and stepped back towards the building. He needed some space to run and had to stop just before the creek. He had never been so close and for the fist time noticed little fish darting though the water. Quickly he turned and headed for the tree, jumping up. This time he missed the tree's trunk and let his foot land on the lower rope of the tree while his body and hands fell into the higher rope. Holding tightly as both ropes stilled, Pi spoke up.

"Hey you gonna beef again or what?" Raine bit his lip with a smirk.

"I don't know why don't you sit and watch. "He let one of his hands fall off the upper rope and grabbed Pi who howled. He carefully placed him on the upper rope. His tiny body fitting over it as it it were twenty feet big. The tiny creature curse and hissed out at Raine.

"You can't do this to me! I'm gonna skin you!" his tiny voice made his threats that much more threatening and Raine smiled as he stepped out onto the rope. This time he didn't bother putting his arms up as an equilibrium, instead he kept them at his side as he walked out onto the rope. He was rather quick this time as he seemed to be getting the hang of the movement and where to put his weight. He quickened his pace a little, and hit the opposite tree. Looking back he tried to spot pi but couldn't see anything. Quickly he jogging back over the rope.

"Hey I'm getting kind of good at this." He smiled. Pi was nervously fidgeting around the rope. Trying not to move. Raine pursed his lips, "Is the almighty Pi afraid of heights?!" he declared sticking his finger up into the air. The small creature looked up defensively.

"Yeah right. The almighty Pi isn't afraid of anything." He looked down to the distant ground, "Just put me back in your pocket okay?" Raine smiled, and extended his palm. Pi crawled on urgently and Raine tucked him in his pocket.

With that Raine jumped out onto the rope, bending his knees to take the energy before vaulting off it. He threw some punches In the air, before his feet his the ground and he collapsed into motion and his foreword momentum pulled him into a ball. He rolled before jumping up and thrusting out his arms as if he were in a musical. INstantly after he burst into laughter.

"Ha this is way easier than I thought!" Raine was just a few feet away from the sand area made for sparing. Looking back on it as he walked back, it was completely massacred by footsteps and even looked like part of it had been melted into glass. No doubt by Kimiko's jutsu. A glimpse of Heisei, blood everywhere. Raine shook the thought of of his head. He took a deep breath and headed on. He was back to the very first tree had started on.

"Ha okay, this time without that other rope to help." he challenged himself not really speaking to Pi but more to himself. The boy clapped his hands together and he jumped up quickly. Once again he found himself with his arms wrapping around the giant tree. For the first time he noticed just how large it was. Looking up and fighting the sun through a squint he gaze up at how far the tree went. It was massive. It must have gone up 20 feet higher than where he was at 30 feet. Not only that but now he saw that higher up there was another network of ropes. He gulped, someday he'd be up there. But first he had to beat this. Raine looked out over the rope once more, with a new fire of determination.

He took a deep breath as he learned had always helped him. Breathing was oddly the one thing that he could remember helping him throughout training. What an odd though. He took a step out onto the rope with another deep breath. And a smile. All of a sudden the memory of his first day at the academy, when he had to do the chakra burn out for the first time. He laughed when he thought of how he had passed out after doing it perfectly. Raito, had to wake him up for that special training. A frown grew over his face as he walked across the rope. That was when the academy was still there, that was when Hatchi and Rosie and Akabane were there. Raine stepped off the rope without any show this time. For amount the dread of falling mixing into a nothingness feeling and he just let the air leave him as he moved quickly.

As soon as he had gone Raine was back though. Eyes open and alert, his knees falling into the position he had made for himself. Even before the second his feet touched the ground had finished his knees had collapsed in and he had leaned forward. Momentum would do the rest as he pulled himself into a ball. Raine rolled over the ground quickly, smashing past the opposite tree. AS he stopped and gained his bearing after being so dizzy he looked up to the large tree that was about an arms length away and thought how lucky he was that he had barely missed the thing.
