When you don't eat lunch in the cafeteria at the band table, you eat with the director in his office in the band, and I enjoy eating with him and my friends making "That's what she said jokes" everyday.

...when having people help dress and undress you isn't even remotely stimulating
...when you're walking and listening to music and you're marking time without realizing it
...when you do the cheers you would normally do in the stands at a varsity football game during regular rehearsal while the football players are practicing, and the whole band joins in
...when it's 8th period algebra 1 plus and you begin randomly humming the show and the other band geeks AND football/cheerleaders join in, and the teacher just says "oy vey" and continues the lesson, not bothering to shut us up.
...when the BD tells you to go home because it's almost midnight
...when the BD can immitate you perfectly
...when your parents forget who you are because of band

yes i do see my section more than my family
yes i do name my instruments
yes i know who is a virgin in my section and who's not
XD

When you get mad at non band members for prenouncing your instruments name wrong. (or any instrument for that case)

"Oh, I like the sound of the tinfani."
"You play the bahssss drum?"
-sigh- When will they learn....

Some a** hole foot ball player said I was gay because I play flute... I play clarinet crying

I laughed so hard when I read thatXD

-When your driving or riding in a car/bus, and you expect the cars to be in step(everytime i get in a carXD)
-You are disapointed when you realize that a car cannot be in step, yet still expect them to be.(major guilt)
-When you have a pair of shoes designated specifically for band rehearsals(Haha, yup, but I need some new ones. mine are pretty much dead, and one more rehearsal and I'm pretty sure the whole bottom will fall out)
-You kiss your instrument goodnight(Guilty)
-when band is your cure all(I had a toothache one time, and the moment I put the mouthpiece to my lips it stopped hurting. took it off, the pain was unbearable)
-You have a folder full of band music(Guilty. actually, more of a desk. But i only have a folder for this years music)
-Half of the folder for current music is drawings of your instument(Guilty. I'm designing section shirts, and my designs are pretty epic)
-you conduct to random radio music

When you get mad at someone for being missing in a group section picture -- I got yelled at sooo bad ):
When the person who took the picture straight up said: This is going to be my default picture for facebook xD
When you listen to music while you walk and you trip because the tempo is too fast or too slow
When you can walk on the crosswalk and hit every single white bar (meaning marching band and taking even steps)
When someone realizes you and your group of friends are phasing together (again, marching band)
When you can tell if someone is playing sharp or flat (I still can't tell XP)
When everytime you have your instrument and you start playing the same 2 measures from your concert piece over and over and over (and over, and over, and over, and over) again. (and over, and over, and over) xP

When you know all of the parts, and not just your own.

(Seriously I don't count the measures. I listen to the trumpet solos and when that is done, I start playing. LOL I am SUCH a band nerd LOL And I love it!)

When you conduct to music in your head that doesn't even exist, or in between classes while walking the halls.
I'm guilty of the first one and our drum major is guilty of the other one. x3

when you brag about a 3 note solo... just because its a considered a solo

you are in a club that has NOTHING to do with band, and can say "I'm a Fermata, hold me" and have almost everybody give you a hug because they actually understood.

...If you have ever slapped someone for calling a sousaphone a "Circle tube thing", when you play trumpet.
...If you get angry at spell-check because it doesn't know weird instruments or marching terms.
...If you thought your freshman year that it was a rule that band could only date other members of the band.
...If you can name the people, instrument they play, and what part they are on, in your entire band and guard! When there is over 100 people in your band.
...You know what every single side-room in the band room is, what it is supposed to be, and what it is used for.

You find yourself counting down 2band class.
You have your band songs stuck in oyur head and u like it

So true. I usually keep a band countdown on Facebook.

When you laugh at jokes like, "What the E#???!?!" And your friends just stare at you.

Or even more, when your parents actually understand "What the E#" because you took the time to explain it to them. razz
