He didn't want to die, which is why he was running away! He didn't want Hunter to die either, so he was trying to get the b***h to run!

this, the end of life.  Hunter sighed deeply. Fine. He would do what the man asked, but he was certainly not happy about it.
And he was a guy, of course he was going to be macho!!
Hunter turned and began to walk away, he knew Raffaele wanted to run, but Hunter could run circles around the priest any day. So he would just speed walk, maybe even jog.
Yeah he was being irritable about it. Even in the face of death (although Hunter didn't know that) and even after he had just left the man. They still fought like a married couple.

There was some crazy a**, thingy dude guy person right behind him, threatening them with god knows what, like stalking them!
Wait---he knew Raffaele had had sex twice.
Had he watched the first time!?

That was so disturbing! Now Raffaele was going to flip! EW!
He grabbed onto Hunter's arm and in such a panic he shouted, "Hunter, mi aiuta è corso! Non abbiamo che il tempo per camminare!" Hunter, help me run! We don't have time to walk!
It wasn't like he was trying to be secrative, the thing knew italian it seemed. Raffaele was just so flustered it was the first thing that had came out. It was what he thought in after all.

More like secure in but same difference.
Raffaele really couldn't say what was happening. Who was this creature? What was this creature? What did it want? More importantly what did it want with him?
Raffaele clutched onto Hunter as they whizzed by.
On a different note, Hunter had come back. Why? Why after all of that had he come back? What was that supposed to make Raffaele think? Was there a deffiniant answer for that?
And now that he was back, what would happen? Would he leave again? No, Raffaele couldn't cope with that all at once, not twice in one night.
He loved the vampire now, didn't he? Wasn't that the revelation he had come to when he was a broken form sprawled out in tears on the steps of the cathedral?
So what now? What happens after that?

this, the end of life. Hunter kept the man close to his chest. Now speaking, simply running as the priest requested. He didn't know where the man wanted him to go. So he simply ran.
"Why do you attract such trouble Raffaele?" he asked quietly, not the least bit out of breath, despite the fact he was running 3 times faster than a human, as well as carrying one.

The kind I have always seems to slip my mind. ------------------------------------------------------- He was looking back, trying to see where that creature had gone off too.
It was a shame the man had simply dissapeared.
Raffaele bit his lip, in thought until Hunter's words caught his attention.
"I-I wish I knew." He said it with almost a tiny laugh, but you could tell the over all feel of the statement was morrose.
"Where are we going?" He asked matching Hunter's quiet tone.

this, the end of life. Hunter continued running, not really knowing where they were going. He told the priest as much "I don't really know. I just know you wanted me to run, so I did."
Hunter shrugged and slowed down a bit when he noticed the man was no longer behind him.
Strange.
Hunter slowed even more until he came to a stop. He looked at the man in his arms. Why had he come back? He didn't know. He had felt like a d**k, but now he was torn between protecting the man and leaving him to try to keep him safe. It was a weird conflict.

The kind I have always seems to slip my mind. ------------------------------------------------------- They stopped moving, which was probably a good thing seeing as they had no direction whatsoever.
Raffaele sniffed. He was no longer a blubbering mess, but he still wasn't stable enough to be completly free of any morrose feeling his insides could conjure up.
"Don't do that." He said shaking his head as his grey eyes looked down. "Don't do that again."
and Raffaele knew, he knew there was a chance Hunter would have to move on one day, or even right now, but he didn't want the man to leave him somewhere and have that be it.
He couldn't take one more of those.

this, the end of life. Hunter looked at the man, shaking his head as well. Using one arm to keep the man securely in his arms, thank god for vampiric strength, he tilted the mans chin up and looked him in the eye.
"I am so very bad for you Raffaele. You will only be hurt..."
Hunter of course wasn't aware of the emotional anguish that the man had just experienced.
If he had... well... Hunter would have been even more conflicted..

The kind I have always seems to slip my mind. ------------------------------------------------------- He had strayed so far from God, so very far...but there was no fear, not anymore.
Raffaele he hadn't even taken the time to come to the conculsion as to why he was so stable in the most unstable of situations.
And as Hunter voiced his reasons, reasons Raffaele was sure he knew deep down, a slight epiffane hit him.
"Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven."
Remebering a beatitude, something he had known by heart for years, was different now because for once in his life, the first time ever, did Raffaele actually understand it.
And maybe that was bad, maybe it attatchment to the vampire was too great, but he understood now, understood so strongly the power he felt running through his veins was so grand there was no way he would ever give it up.
He wasn't telling Hunter how the vampire should feel.
Raffaele was using the words of Christ to depcit exactly what he felt.
There wasn't any fear, not for what was to come involving fangs and blood.

His face contourted, but he wasn't even upset at this time.
"I'm not being Catholic right now." It was a terse statment, but it meant a hell of a lot when a priest was saying it.
"I mean heaven on earth." He moved his hand up his forearm where it gripped at his warm skin for support.
"Blessed are those who suffer for they will be comforted. Well I was, and not in the way you're thinking either. If there's no heaven above, then you have it make it on earth." He bore his grey eyes into the red one's of the vampire.
"And don't you call me a fool on this regaurd because I was just in hell without you."

this, the end of life. Hunter frowned, looking the man in the eye. The seriousness of the priest's attachment was, it was painfully obvious.
He moved his hand up to the priest's shoulder, gripping it lightly. He searched the priest's gaze and shook his head, a serious line formed on his face.
"I cannot keep you forever Raffaele." He was willing to stay with the man, but forever? It was impossible. Why? Why did the man have to get so attached?

That was true, and Raffaele hadn't forgotten about the years in which he'd grow old and surely their relationship would end there as well.
He wanted happiness in his youth though, thought he should go after as much while he had the chance.
