I discovered them on my own. I checked up 'Vampires' on google images, and a picture of Gerard Way showed up in there. I guess because of there song. I clicked the picture because of his damn good looks, and got into them. None of my friends heard of them, so it is kind 'my' band in a way here. That is confusing..but you get it right?

I saw I'm Not Okay (I Promise) on TV, and I liked it. But I forgot about it [I've got horrid memory], and then my sister showed me Helena about half a year later. xp

I've known about them for a long time, since about the time their first album came out, I believe.
A few of my friends found out about them so there are only a handful of people in my town that are as die-hard and devoted to the band as I am. <3

I heard of them throu a friend. He lent me thier first cd and i jus listend to them ever since.

This'll make me sound like such a newbie, but I swear I'm a serious fan (now, at least)...
I saw a commercial for "Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge" on G4 - in April, I think - and it showed some clips from "Helena" and "I'm Not Okay (I Promise)" (horribly chopped up, I might add). I was hooked right then and there, and the next time I went to FYE, I bought both albums. I haven't looked back since.

I first saw them on mtv with there video "Helena" then my cuz told me more about them and then i bought there cd. A little after that i went to his house over the summer and that was mostly what i talked about so now he likes them even more. So i have him to thank for that..btw my cuz is in this guild too (xenin).

It started I think july 2004 the sun was coming up and MTV (which I know sucks) was on and they where doing a new band info thingy, but I wasn't paying much attention all I really heard out of the who thing was jersy and the band name. The first time I watched fuse they where acualy premiring the I'm not ok video I once more wasnt paying attention. But then early this year I saw the Helena vido and was like hey I've heard of them. So for the next cuple month after I was watching the vidoes almost never missing them. Then while back I got both cds learned the words in like 2 days and watched all the old footage I had missed due to my own stupid.

hahaha! i had heard vampires before, once when i was in florida, but never really paid attention. then one day i was watching tv late at night and i had one of the music channels and i saw the im not okay video and i really liked them. i'd downloaded the song from itunes a long with venom and demolition lovers and i bought both cds. since then, i've been a huge mcr fan.

Well, it happend the same way I found out about all bands... First my friend showed me, and I didnt think much of it because he just kept playing the intro to Im Not Okay (I Promise), but then my sister showed me the music video for Helena and Im Not Okay (I Promise), and i was so attached. My sister says I ruin the song by playing it so much but I dont care.

A friend of mine saw the Helena video and showed me. I wasn't impressed at first, but it grew on me. ^_^

My bro played the Im not okay on the internet and I loved it then once Helena was released I bought there second CD, Then I found out they had a Cd before Sweet Revenge and I finally found it so i bought it.

I first heard them on a local station, 99X and I loved the song ["I'm Not Okay (I Promise)"], so I went out and bought Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge the next day.
