Kat was listening, holding a bowl full of macaroni and cheese. "We could always scout. But cops were generally not the best deterrent. I mean hell, it'll just make him more of a top priority."

Jarred shrugged. "Not saying it's a bad idea, but there's got to be a better way for it." "Not all of us. Just me, or maybe two of us. I can look like something else. FBI, some other government branch. Lies and techincal bullshit, should be able to fake it well enough. The kid's a witness. We're protecting him?"

"It would look somewhwat odd, yes." Roxanna admitted, nodding her head. She turned her head back to Rook. "Yes, there is a place that's technically safe, that I could take people." Roxanna smiled slightly, "It's a long ways away, but I can access it easily enough. A person does run the risk, though, of being stuck if I happen to die."

"I can stay here." Kat volunteered quickly, pausing a moment to eat another scoop of her meal. "I mean, I'd just get in the way, I'm sure." She smiled, preferring to stay this one out, eat her food, and sleep in a decent bed.

"So do we want to get the kid or not? With the police there, a costume might not be enough, but if he did manage not to get snatched, he's not going to be too receiving to any more supers, hero's or otherwise."

"Jarred, we're all new to the superhero business. If you remember saving people hasn't exactly been a thing for any of us until recently." Roxanna looked a little bit tired as she said it, and gently brushed her hands up and along her head.
"I suppose we will let this one fair on his own." She said after a moment. "It's not like I would be very effective by myself." She stood up and headed back down the hallway to Jarred's bedroom.
